We met with four different companies and received quotes from each, but we either weren't confident in their work or just didn't feel they were the right fit until we met with JG Lawns. Craig came out to provide a free estimate and was brutally honest LOL. He never tried to oversell us or promise things that weren't realistic.  His personality and knowledge earned our trust, and combined with fair pricing, made our final decision to move forward with this company. Our project was originally expected to take about a week, but due to issues with choosing pavements and the paving company shipping the wrong materials, it ended up taking about a month. Even with the unexpected delay, Eric and Jesus (his dad) were fantastic throughout the entire process. They kept us updated every step of the way, explained any changes, and always made sure we were comfortable with the plan before moving forward. Their crew worked incredibly hard every single day. They treated our home with respect, paid attention to every detail, and always cleaned up before leaving for the day. Their pride in their work definitely shows in the finished product. We couldn't be happier with how our backyard turned out. It exceeded our expectations and has completely transformed our outdoor space. We would definitely recommend this company to anybody seeking turf and redo their yard. We are so glad we chose them.

We interviewed three companies and ultimately chose Villanuevas Landscape for two main reasons. First, the owner, Andres, personally came to our home to assess the scope of the project and address our questions about adding gopher wire under the sod to mitigate the gopher issue. Second, his pricing was very reasonable compared to the other estimates we received. The entire project was completed in just two days. Andres actively managed the project from start to finish, and his crew worked efficiently while paying close attention to detail. They were respectful of our property throughout the process and made sure the work area was clean at the end of each day. We couldn't be happier with the results and highly recommend Villanuevas Landscape to anyone looking for quality landscaping work. We'll definitely be using them again for future projects!

Aaron was our sales contact, and he answered all my questions before I signed which made us feel good about using them and had some good suggestions. Their model of doing whatever we need and mixing with what other contractors we use is great; we for example purchased a quartzite slab for the kitchen and Rock N Block did the rest. The prices were very reasonable as well, and looking at the end product I think it was a great deal. The rest of the team, Alexis and Jose, did a great job keeping us updated and keeping our property clean. I'm not sure who the guys were that did the counter build, I think it was someone and his two adult kids, but they did an incredible job and it seemed like they took the time to do quality work. The rest of the project ran into some difficulty with the electrical hookup and gas move, but Jose still got the work done on time and worked well with our countertop fabricator to coordinate what they needed and when to install Overall went really well and would recommend them for any sort of hardscape project.

I gave John a call and was delighted with his price, straight-forward demeanor and flexibility. We discussed our project and settled on 3 cubic yards of brown mulch to be delivered within a few days. John reached out a day early to see if we wanted to take delivery sooner, which we did, so he followed through and delivered 3CY+ right in the middle of our driveway at the exact time he said he would! Also as advertised was the quality of his product. He sent me a picture showing the mulch in my driveway to confirm delivery (I was at work during the time of the earlier drop off) and let me pay him remotely via Venmo. That was a major convenience for me! It couldn't have been a smoother transaction! I saved hundreds of dollars and got my project done a day early as the result of dealing with John. All this (great price, product as advertised and timely delivery) during the pandemic "Supply Chain" delays and inflation/price gouging of 2022! Take my advice, if you need anything mulch-related, give John at San Diego Mulch a call, you will be a satisfied customer, just like me! JP
