Long Island Lawn Sprinklers - 5' Below

Long Island Lawn Sprinklers

Long Island Lawn Sprinklers installed a full coverage Toro Evolution controller and Rainbird…read moresprinkler system for my home in 2014. Overall, I am extremely happy with their work. Everything from the initial installation to post-sale service and support were top notch. Nick (the owner) was very flexible and easy to work with in the pre and post sale phases of the job. The post-sale service has been excellent. Any additional adjustments, repairs and even the first time backflow tests were all all performed under the initial installation warranty, which is a strong selling point. I chose a Toro Evolution next generation electronic controller which has performed extremely well. It is easy to setup, change and represents a quantum leap over older timer style controllers. For a few more dollars, I highly recommend this unit. The Rainbird valves, and spray heads have also performed very well. They are easy to adjust and provide plenty of coverage options. My lawn is looking better than every going into the first full season with this new sprinkler system. Much better results can be obtained with this system than with the hose attached sprinklers and the convenience cannot be beat. The installation is the most critical aspect of a properly performing irrigation (sprinkler) system. Trying to save a few dollars on an inexperienced contractor is a mistake; go with a high quality and competitive contractor, such as Long Island Lawn Sprinklers. I suggest giving Long Island Lawn Sprinklers a call for all of your sprinkler needs as you will be in good hands start to finish. 5-15-14

Had them out to renovate our existing sprinkler system -- replaced and relocated several zones and…read moreupdated the control unit. From start to finish, the whole experience was excellent. They were professional, punctual, and reasonably priced for the scope of work. What really stood out: after they left the gas company nicked one of our lines during unrelated work, and they came right back out and fixed it free of charge, no questions asked. That kind of follow-through is rare these days. Can't recommend them enough.

I'm not sure how this company has such stellar reviews. Their great rating was the reason I went…read morewith them in the first place. I went with them last year to lay irrigation down in my front yard with a whole new system with foundation plantings to be watered by drip irrigation. With the really hot summer of 2025, I called two times for them to come out because the foundation plants were not adequately watered with drip irrigation. The first time, Reynolds came really quickly. The second time, I was told that I could change the amount of water myself on the app and that the team had already come out once to service me and that they had changed out 3 leaks in the drip system for free! The issue is, drip irrigation put in place did not reach all the plants - even though I was told it would- so I could increase the amount of water as much as I want and all it would do it drown some plants while others stay dry. Fast forward a year later, some very valuable trees have withered and died -3 japanese maples and 1 blue spruce along with some other shrubs. They also neglected to tell me that they reduced the amount of water everything was getting by 1/3 last summer because of the water shortage. They probably thought homeowners can change this themselves if plants look like they need more water. But we were away for July 2025 and came back to dead trees. An email telling us that they were doing this would have gone a long way. After thousands of dollars, I'm now back at square one and needing another system. Oh, they also told me they would change my old system (valves etc) and they didn't. They retrofitted everything to an old 30 year old system - I was told this when I got a new estimate recently. I was also told that the drip irrigation system was improperly installed, not suitable for my foundational plantings and were getting leaks because they didn't put a regulator in for that much water pressure. It would have been good for them to tell me that before installing the system. What a mess! Stay Away!

Five Towns Sprinkler has been around since 1982!!!!!!…read more They are the only irrigation company that still puts quality over quantity!!!!! Not only do they install and service Irrigation systems but they also install water wells so your sprinkler can run off of a well and save you money on the water (Also a Plus if you have a pool you can fill it up from the well) If you are looking for the job to be done right i would not hesitate to call Steve.

It was an ambitious undertaking but I installed my own sprinkler system with the help of a…read moreneighbor. I dug the line, built the manifold, ran wiring for solenoids to the timer and electric for a well pump (the well head professionally done). Problem is when you do things for the first time there's always bound to be mistakes. I contacted this company once at 8pm on a random weeknight intending to leave a message but Steve (owner) picks up the phone to my surprise. I tell him a problem I'm having with my well pump short cycling. After listening intently he recommended a pump start relay which cracked the case. I always remembered the kindness of a stranger. Fast forward 2 seasons later I was having a problem where my system was running but wouldn't discharge to the zones. I called upon this company again in hopes of resolving the issue as my grass was left to die in the August sun. Steve was at my house the next day to look into the issue. I knew I built this system with the proverbial rubber bands and chewing gum and my beginner-mess showed clearly. I came home, they had installed a new pump start relay that had electrically shorted on my watch, ran new hard wire from the relay to the pump, ran a new ground wire in a conduit and buried it underground from the pump house to the valve box, ran all new wiring from the solenoids back to the timer and fixed the issue. Not only fixed the issue, but put the system in a safer and more sustainable place than it ever has been. I didn't know what the scope of the work would be in advance but after he solved my first relay issue 2 seasons ago on the phone and yet yielded no business in return for his advice, I trusted him implicitly to do right by me. This kind of business feels increasingly rare - the kind where you have the guy that runs the business and makes you feel like you're worth his time no matter how much other work he may have. I've dealt with my share of contractors and it's very easy to feel like just "another." Kudos to Five Towns Sprinkler for a job well done and being a trustworthy company to help keep my yard investment safe!
