Jon and his team delivered truly five-star service from start to finish. They arrived on time, set up efficiently, and worked steadily until every part of the job was completed. Jon carefully planned the work, confirmed that we were in agreement, and paid meticulous attention to every detail. Before leaving, he thoroughly reviewed everything with us to make sure we were completely satisfied. He expertly cut and pruned our trees, improving both their health and appearance, and the entire team left the property absolutely pristine. I highly recommend Jon for his professionalism, expertise, and exceptional workmanship! read more

My landscaping is on our village tour of hidden gardens. I switched to Valley Tree Service two years ago. They are family owned and operated and an owner is always on site. I have five specimens tree on my property and am very picky about what they look like. The workers are always told about the garden tour and given explicit instructions to carry out. I have been very pleased with their work and highly recommend them. There is an arborist on site the entire time to ensure that the work is done to my satisfaction. Highly. recommended. read more

Family local business which if I can I like to patronize. Teresa answered all of my questions over the phone and then scheduled her son John ( a licensed arborist) to come by and discuss what I wanted done. I had a lot of over grown trees. John took a couple of minutes and came up with a very fair price. Scheduled the work in less than a week. Great work and very nice clean up. read more

It was clear from the beginning that Valley Tree was run by professionals who had integrity, knew their stuff, and were competitive with pricing. The thing that stood out for me was that the father and sons were all arborists. John took his time on the phone explaining the pros and cons of keeping the tree vs pruning it. While working on the tree, the team was extremely thorough and deliberate and Jon remained on site the entire time and was very professional in answering any questions. They also had all the right equipment to protect the grass etc. Valley tree took real care in the quality of their work and I felt like I was in qualified hands with this team. This family run business is the real deal and they were a pleasure to work with. read more

I'm in Long Beach NY and I've managed properties all my life. I have dealt with many tree people over the years. I recently had Valley do various work around town for me. It was a wonderful experience. It seems everyone with a pickup truck and a chainsaw calls himself a tree trimmer, but I wanted the job done by men who would work safely and care for my property. Valley is truly professional. An arborist visited each property, offered suggestions and told me about the different trees I had and the best options for keeping them healthy while meeting my specific needs. There was no selling, just educating. Valley's pricing was professional and fair for a licensed legitimate business with experienced men who work safely and use real equipment. Their men came as scheduled with the arborist on the crew. First class employees, and high safety standards. Good work practices and excellent cleanup. They left the site cleaner than it was when they arrived. I'm confident that the correct practices were followed, that my trees are well treated, and that my property is safe. I'm also happy to be supporting men who live in the community and work full time in a profession, supporting their families. Your trees are a huge investment in your property and your property values. You can't leave this work to people who have no idea what they are doing. You will be very pleased with Valley Tree's performance. read more

John and his team did an amazing job pruning my very large, very old oak tree. He provided insight into the health of our tree, and with this service look forward to enjoying it for decades to come. The service was professional and well priced. Thank you! read more

I can't say anything except compliments about Valley Tree about the quality of the work, their work ethic and teamwork, and their knowledge of their work. Valley Tree has a certified Arborist on staff.  The arborist is Jon Greifenberger.  He is one of the principals of the company. He is hands on, and did the climbing, and also took the time to explain what he was doing and why, and to answer all our questions. When we took our hedges down, before replanting, we had to get rid of all of the roots and stumps and vines left behind. You'd need the Hulk to dig it all up.  Valley Tree came with their secret weapon (my characterization not theirs) a special machine and got most all the vines, stumps, and roots out by grinding them. Now that all those obstacles to growing healthy plants have been removed, we are now happily free to plant new life there!  Valley Tree's entire staff that worked at our home were so polite and accommodating.  The cleanup after trimming our trees was as good as the quality of their work. Several weeks before, we had made an appt with Valley Tree.  They called, kept the appointment as promised, and were prompt as well.  I'd have to say it was a joy doing business with them. Their business practices are exceptional. We were very happy with the fine service that we received. read more

They did a great job in trimming our Cherry Tree. It already looks so much better. I liked that Jon was on site after providing the quote for the job. They turned up on time, reviewed the job and my requests and cleaned up after they were finished. Would definitely recommend them. read more

We asked an arborist we had consulted a few years ago, to take another look at our "forest", which was getting taller and wider. We were concerned about wind damage to property. He recommended Valley Tree as the outfit to address our concerns. John came out, did an assessment and wrote a proposal which we accepted. We love our trees for the shade and privacy they provide. Today, Valley Tree gave our trees a "haircut" which we are confident made our trees more resilient in high winds, and yet left them thinned, but still beautiful. John was up in our 35' trees, secured with ropes, and trimmed the branches away from our house. Some haircuts look terrible and need to grow back before they look good. A good hair stylist understands hair, knows how to cut, and that haircut looks good from the beginning. Valley Tree's arborists left our shorn trees looking really good. They understand and care about trees. From Theresa who handles the office, to John and his assistant, another John, they are friendly, professional, efficient, and competent. The cleanup was perfect. What can I say about Jon and his crew... they were fantastic! I am so happy that I was referred to them by another company in the island. They were fast, experienced and well equipped with all different types of machines. With all of these qualifications, they gave us a reasonable price. We removed many trees, but one monster tree was the big challenge. One company walked away from the job and another one quoted me a higher price to rent a crane in addition to the labor fee. Jon and his team took care of the monster tree with a better price despite all the difficulties that they faced. We are so thankful to this crew who were very professional and came with such positive vibes to the job. We highly recommend their services to everyone and we will not hesitate to call them in the future. read more

I hired them to trim a couple of tall oaks out back, and a Japanese Red Maple and a Japanese LionsHead Maple out front. Jon came with an assistant right on time. I liked that Jon had been the one who gave the estimate, and was the one completing the job. They did a great job and cleaned up well too. He also trimmed up some shrubs and pulled out a dead arborvitae for me. I'm very pleased with their work and would hire again. I found his price reasonable. And I like that he was a certified arborist. read more

Valley Tree exactly fits my sentimental image of a family business. Owned and operated by a lovely couple and their son. Very professional and profoundly good people. The rest of their crew is solid as well. They've been in business forever and have seen it all, so whatever the situation is, they'll know how to navigate it skillfully. read more
