Great service by one individual salesman. I think his name was Gene. He took care of everything. There were two larger lazy women working there. Their attitudes were terrible. The couldn't find any of my order. They didn't seem To care they just stood back and chatted amongst them selves like they were sitting on the stoop. Gene came in found the order haloed us out and fixed everything. Mean while when I asked to throw an empty cup away they told me I neeeded to go to the bathrooom. How rude I'm spending 1000 dollars there and they tray me like I'm an employee at McDonald's. Thanks gene you saved the day. He is the only reason I'm giving them 3 stars. Joseph A. Bank has a decent selection of men's suits, slacks, dress shirts, ties, and tuxedo rental. With the fashion landscape of men's clothing changing, it at least seems that Bank is keeping up. I do like many of their items. I especially like their line of Travelers Dress Shirts. They are available in a variety of colors. They can be pricey but if you pay attention, two or three times a year, you can get the solid colors for the lower price of 3 for $99.00. I have never seen them less than that. They can be machined washed and machine dried. If you pull them out of the dryer promptly, you can simply hang them up and not have to iron them (or maybe minimally touch them up). Their suits can by pricey but again, they have sales often so you should never pay full price for them. The one thing I love about Banks selection is the wide selection of long-rise dress slacks. It seems that pre-hemmed pants at other stores are never long enough in the rise (crotch). I cannot wear a regular rise pant without getting cut in half and singing soprano. C'mon guys...you know what I'm talking about. Some of their slacks can cost you over $100 per pair but they should last you a long time. They offer alterations as well but unlike days gone by, they are no longer free. Hemming pants is pretty cheap. When you buy a suit and want it to fit perfectly, it can get quite expensive to hem a pant, take in the waste, adjust the length of the jacket sleeves and get rid of a wrinkle between your shoulder blades. However, nothing looks as bad as a suit that doesn't fit correctly. Pay for the alterations and it will look better. Just know going it that you'll spend an extra $50 getting everything to fit perfectly (if you are adjusting everything I mentioned above). TIP: DO NOT give them your email if at all possible. They will absolutely SPAM you to death with clothing ads. I made that mistake and got blasted with sale emails for years. Bottom line: Quality clothing at fair prices when purchased on sale. Don't buy it if it's not on sale. Wait, it will go on sale. Pay for the alterations. Remember, a man should wear a suit. The suit should not wear the man. read more

My husband and I came here for a tux rental after rudely being turned down by Men's Warehouse. We are having family pictures take in a little over a week and my husband delayed the fitting process way too long. Stan at Jos A. Bank was able to make our tux rental work despite the crunched deadline and without compromising what we wanted. He even helped me talk my husband into purchasing a suit for his upcoming nursing school graduation. They fitted and tailored the suit onsite while we were there. Amazing customer service. Service at the store has gone downhill. Came in to pick up my coat after alterations, came to the counter and tried to speak to DeAndra who was on her phone and told me to hang on. She then told me she would go grab the coat but proceeded to make me wait as another customer came through the door. After 5 minutes, DeAndra proceeded to the back, after 1-2 min I went back to find her and she was on her phone again only to tell me she's trying to locate. I ordered some shirts online and came to store for exchange. Stancey Moore did not listen to us and cancelled our transaction. I told him we are exchanging and he said you did not tell me. I said you did not ask. Anyways, he did mistake on our cancellation. Instead of fixing the problem she charged my card $64. I said why are you charging me $64 and he said I will show you. My experience at this store today could not have been better. From the moment I entered, everything was perfect. There was no immediate pressure from anyone, and I was able look through a few suits on my own before eventually being casually approached by Travis--an Assistant Manager--offering any help I may need. The timing and the tactic were perfect. Travis is extraordinarily knowledgeable of the product lines/collections and has a great sense for how to position the right one(s) for the customer. He also has a keen sense of style, colors and patterns and just did an amazing job of handling and adapting to all the parameters I gave him. As a manager, Travis was continually pulled in other directions during my time there. Marva seamlessly stepped in and assisted with all the same courtesy and patience. I spent about six hours in the store. Travis consistently play the key/lead role throughout, while both Marva and Oscar stepped in as appropriate to keep things moving. Oscar was equally helpful. I never felt like I was waiting for anyone, yet I never felt like I was being pushed. As I said, from a sales perspective, the entire experience was tactically perfect. I believe each of these three could have run this in his/her own right, but they all teamed together with a mutual respect for one another's role in the sale to strike just the right balance for me. This was my first experience in a Jos. A. Bank store, and there's no doubt this will be the first place I look next time I need any business or business casual clothing. So I was looking for a suit and thought to come to this store. First of all I feel like the service that I received at this store, at this specific location was a lot slower than the three other men's suit store I visited. The person who helped me was extremely slow. I will not name names bc this person seem like they need their job. But this person just didn't seem to know what they had in the store as for as colors and things like that. When ur planning in dropping over $500 for a suit, you want someone who's with it and is on the same page as you. So after he tried on the suit, I noticed that the lighting and mirror area was not clean. It was very cluttered. There there suits that had alteration tickets on it all over the back area. I was not impressed. We did like one suit from his a bank until a customer came in. Apparently this customer ordered three suits like a few weeks ago and is now coming back to pick it up. When he got there he was told that only two of the three suits were ready. This man wanted the manager on the phone right away. When I saw that this was how angry a customer got after purchasing suits from his a bank, I was out of there!!!! The man managed to say that there was one girl at that whole store that knew what she was doing. She was off that day. I did see a lot of sales and if you didn't need alterations and you fit their clothing perfectly then by all means I would recommend this place to you. I saw some suit jackets as cheap as $98. BUT they do make their money from alterations. The place I ended up purchasing from was Men's Wearhouse near by bc the customer service was great and I was able to pick up the pants ( after the hemmed it ) within 2 hours of purchased. Went in to sign up to get tuxes for my wedding. I presented a coupon to get mine free and then if there were more than 10 $600 towards shopping at jos a bank. Plus $30 off the rental for all my groomsmen. The coupon was never applied. None of my groomsman were getting the $30 off. I called the 1-800 number and get it all corrected. then an hour later the lady that place the order originally called me back to make sure I wanted all the discounts. When I confronted her about all the things she did wrong she hung up on me in the middle of the conversation. I called back from another number asking for the district managers phone number. The associate instead passed me back to her. She apparently is the assistant manager and she refused to give me the district managers phone number. She said I have to call tomorrow when the manager is in to get his number. But I give the 1-800 number a 5 stars for customer service. she even gave me more off the kids tuxes for all my trouble. read more

I've been a couturier for 15 years, and, while the young woman working the floor could not have know that, I certainly did not appreciate her eavesdropping on my private conversation about a 2" seam allowance. She promptly butted in announcing it could only be let out 3/8 of an inch or something like that. First off, I wasn't speaking to her, secondly- I do runway shows, so with all due respect, I'll do what I darn well please. Not that I'm trying to undermine the experience of their tailors, but, I'm not quite sure what kind of sewing or tailoring knowledge the ladies that work the floor have, if any. I don't intend to patronize businesses that are in the habit of trying to belittle their clientele. Will be shopping elsewhere. read more

Very disappointed with the service. Saleswoman could not figure out how to do a simple exchange. Supplied her with a gift receipt, but then I was told the "system" needs the personal information of the person who bought me the gift. After waiting nearly a half hour while she fumbled around on the computer, I was then told it was the buyer's fault for not providing her personal information. I said to the saleswoman, "You've got to be kidding me!" Told her how ridiculous she was being and that she just lost a good customer. Horrible experience. Purchased 8 suites for a wedding, as some needed to be ordered they said they would hold on to all of them and then send them all out at once. Said that she would call me when they all came in and would ship them where ever they needed to go. A month later still hadn't heard anything, I had tried to get a hold of them 5 times but unless the original person you worked with is there they refuse to help you at all which is where my frustration is. Finally I get hold of our original person who tells me she has zero idea where any of our suites are and that someone else lost all of her paperwork and that it was not her fault. Made a apt to meet with her at a specific time as I knew I would not be serviced with out her there. As we arrive at the appointed time where she said she would be there they tell me she just left for lunch and we would have to wait a hour for her to get back! Without her there no one would even look anything up and just stood there and tried to make small talk stating" if I go through her stuff she will be ticked off you have to wait" finally found all our suits each one was under a different name and they made me look through all of their closest to find it on my own. Turns out the person we were supposed to meet with was outside of the building the entire time. She then continued to state how none of this was her fault. She blamed everyone else that worked there for the mishap, and said the managers are the ones who lost her paperwork and only apologized after we didn't respond to that. read more

Time to update my general duty formal wear options. So the choice was to try JAB. The excecutive line pricing seemed appealing. I intended to ease it and make my selection and move on without attracting any salesmen. Didnt work. As I eased up to the exc area , i was intercepted by this woman. See did not seem inclined to let me do this on my own. So I caved.After measuring me up and consulting about color,texture and such , we had found the match in short order. After a try on , it was done. All pants at JAB need to be tailored. So be prepaired to handle it. Two weeks if you have them do it. Service..? Well done. Quality..?Good. Price..? Fair. I felt compelled to provide an acurate review of my expierence , in lieu of the whiner that wanted to exchange something and blamed the staff because he was probably wearing baggy jeans , rhinestone belt and flat bill ball cap. Try Men's Warehouse just south of El Dorado off the southbound access road. I bought a suit for a wedding at Jos A Bank and the pants (which we very loose) tore a whole foot through the material, not the seam, from squatting down at the wedding a few months after purchase. When I tried to return them, the best they could do was 65% off for a pair a pants that cost more than the entire suit (the suit was on sale at the time). The manager told me they stand by their product, but these pants didn't snag on something or even tear down the seam; they were just made from crappy material. If they really stand by their material, why am I being asked to pay for pants again? I'll never go back to Jos A Bank. read more
