We went here a few weeks ago to look for a new suit. They wouldn't let you look around without a salesperson, which was annoying. They were very pushy too, they must work on commission. My fiancé did end up buying a suit from there and getting the alterations done there. The suit looks good, but the alterations are were not done properly. I went through a local competitor to buy a suit for a wedding I was in because I was recently fitted there for a rental for another wedding a couple of months prior. The shirt the competitor sized me for was big, I even knew it was big however they assured me it fit and that there were no other sizes that would fit better. I brought the shirt to Jos A Bank in the promenade the day before the wedding hoping they could help. I was greeted by a man who was very eager to listen to my story and concerns. He asked me to put on the shirt that I bought from the competitor (luckily I brought it with me) and immediately questioned why they gave me the size they did. He said it was obviously a size too big and had another employee check in the back for the size I needed. Luckily they had 1 left. I tried it on and it fit perfectly. I'm wishing I went through Jos A Bank and the same man I dealt with for my suit purchase. He was extremely professional, relatable, and was not only willing but wanted to hear everything I had to say. My next purchase will 100% be from Jos A Bank as my experience here, with customer service alone, outshined my experience with the local competitor. If it weren't for his help, my jacket would've stayed on the entire wedding as I would've been embarrassed to wear a baggy oversized shirt with a slim fit suit. read more

We purchased 4 ties online for a wedding and after choosing one we returned the remaining 3. The person at the register was extremely gruff and rude, questioning why we are returning them and we dont want to exchange them instead. I get it, you want to retain your sales but theres no reason to be unpleasant. Absolutely no customer service at all, even after we explained why we were returning them, which we didnt need to do. We do not live near a retail store so going in person prior to the wedding was not possible. And if you dont want customers returning items dont make it an option. Being nice shouldnt be that hard. read more

Stay away!! The salesman was nice but trust you own intuition when it comes to how your clothes should fit. I bought 2 suits (1for myself and 1 for my son). My sons suit had to be altered and it came out okay. The sleeves were a little too long. But his pants were so tight in the waist and crotch area it was embarrassing. My suit also had to be tailored. The jacket came out okay but the pants were another issue. I didn't have time to try them on after the alterations because I felt that since my wedding was in 2 days there was no way to correct any issues. I put my pants on to go to my wedding and the pants were at least 3 inches too high. I mean high as in at least 1 1/2 inches above my ankles!!! This was seriously amatuer work. At worse I've seen 1 inch too high but never 3+ inches too high. Also, they advertise suits but they're actually jackets and pants separates in most cases. They'll just find the jacket and pants that match the color and material. I expected a hell of a lot more for my $400+ suit! Whdn I went to pick it up one of the saleswomen gave me the look of death when one of the salesmen asked her if she could get my suits since he was in the middle of doing something. She looked me up and down, rolled her eyes at me and continued to lean against the counter. One of the salesmen got my suits. I figured that for almost $600 for the 2 suits they would have pressed them and put them in a nice garment bag but nooooo. My suits looked as if they came straight of the rack and I got a cheap dry cleaner type plastic bag. The picture shows me with my pants pulled half way down my behind (and my hands are in my pocket so they don't ride up) and you can see how high the still are. They barely touch the top of my shoes. I came back to try on the suit after they altered it. I'm going to be truthfully harsh, and not like a woman scorned. The coat fit well, they did a good job. But the pants were another story. I really wish I took a picture of myself, but I looked like I was wearing trash bags for pants. Both the salesman and the tailor said "it looks fine." I'm like, I'm not a tailor, but I know what looks good. They said, "the pleats on the pants makes them baggier." I said, look, suits shouldn't be baggy, I look ridiculous, I need you to taper it in a couple inches in the leg. They finally relented. Later, my friend went in to get his suit tailored and said to him "the suit will fit well, unless you're picky like your friend [me]." Now, fine, call me picky. If I am going to wear a suit, I want it to fit the way I want it to fit. Not be insulted by people whose job it is to do what I want. I can honestly say wholeheartedly, I hate this place, and if I didn't have to go back to pick up the suit, I'd never come close to this place again. If you want cheap service, come to me, I'll give you the extra $30 bucks to take it somewhere else to get a suit tailored rather than have you look like a fool. read more

The suits that the sales person was showing us were poorly constructed with obvious puckering at the arm seams. The salesman lied and said that the suit just needed to be pressed to fix the puckering. This suit was of such obvious poor quality that we left the store rather than continue to let the salesperson take advantage of us and sell us a piece of crap. These Jos. A Bank stores are really going down hill. The suits are poor quality and the staff is just interested in selling you garbage. For the prices they charge you should expect better quality suits. The sales people don't really seem to know what they are doing as far as helping you find the right fit. They are just winging it. You can probably do much better shopping for suits at a different company. Save your money and stay away! read more

Think twice before going here. There is no concept of customer service at this store. I ordered a suit that didnt fit and I was given run around to pick lower price suit for the higher priced that I had. I asked to lower the price but was told it will be unethical. What a crock of BS. Their prices are inflated too. What you see on the web and the store is too high. Save yourself grief and look somewhere else but not at Marlton NJ store. read more

I hope high managerial officials are reading this review. For years, like 25-26 virtually all of my clothes were purchased at Banks, quality of the clothes and service were exceptional. Today and in recent years I rarely find cloths that fit me. I wear a traditional size, especially shirts; sweaters and polos. Since they merged with Men's Wearhouse, it is almost impossible to find any sort of clothes in the Traditional size. Since the merger they virtually eliminated Traditional sizes. Nowadays it is slim; tailored; traveler along with Reserve; 1906 and Joseph Abboud. I have had sales clerks tell me that Traveler line is Traditional, this is incorrect. Banks you are making a big mistake here, there a lot of men, think thousands who no longer patronize you stores for this reason. Wise up Banks, you do not need 4-5 different lines and sizes. Remember us baby boomers have lots of disposable income which you are missing out on! Maybe I will go to Nordstrom's! read more
