A very disappointing "custom" suit experience. The store manager, Maggie was pleasant and professional, but after 10 years of purchases and custom tailored business suits for my son, we will be throwing in the towel. WHAT WENT RIGHT: pleasant sales associates and clean shop. Good location. Worthwhile sales for off-the-rack for that recent grad or mid manager. Selecting the fabric(s) and the styling for the details. WHAT WENT WRONG: Measuring by the sales associates for custom orders diminishes the experience and impacted our overall experience. ONLY a trained, experienced tailor should be measuring the client. If that were the case with us, my son's $650 custom suit would have fit. IT DID NOT. The trousers were cut to the wrong size. The jacket lining was misshaped and puckered, preventing the jacket from draping properly. We had a scheduled ( dedicated) fitting appointment with the tailor ( Neville) yet we were interrupted multiple times by other shoppers who took his attention away. NOT the "custom" fitting experience Jos A Bank used to provide. Neville the tailor offered to take out the trousers and rework and correct the lining problems. NOT acceptable for a brand new suit that was simply made wrong. We opted for the additional inconvenience of having the entire suit remade correctly to avoid any additional issues. THE RESULT: we waited a month to have my son walk out in his custom suit only to be told that it would take about three more weeks to redo the order. Then, the suit would be shipped to our location only to have to be shipped to New York City where my son lives so he could have the final fitting. At this rate, will be lucky to have his suit in February. Depending on that final experience, this may be the last time we shop with Jos A. Bank. read more

Customer service is super slow and incompetent... who buys a suit and walks out of a store with it in a brown bag? Give me a hanger give me something to protect the suit when I leave! I paid $600 for a suit for a wedding which is absolutely crazy. You get better deals at nicer establishments and your treated like a person. Where's the group discount? No common courtesy. Help me get my jacket on and off when I'm trying it on? I'll never buy anything from here again. I'm not only one who had issues in the wedding party either. Purchased suit for son's pending wedding unfortunately this location is a retail disaster! The employee who measured me completely got the order wrong from the start, ordering a regular suit rather then tall man size. Once suit arrived, quality was substandard and several alterations were problematic with tailor sending home product in a most unprofessional state. When I called to contact store manager Doli about condition of suit, which I discovered when I got home, the manager put tailor on phone with me then he hung up. I immediately called back store to speak with the store manager and was advised Doli was on "vacation" within two minutes of the call to the tailor. I asked to speak to the store's Assistant Manager, Marc, and when asked to have the store's Regional Manager call me regarding the condition of my suit, he refused my request. A complaint was made to Jos A Bank customer service representative about my experience at this location, where it was disclosed, the Assistant Manager was wrong in not having a Regional Manager contact me pertaining to my experience. My family and I went into the clothing store to buy suits for my sons wedding. The gentleman suggested the sale rack of 319.00 for suits. My husband was brought several to try on and selected a lovely blue suit. After getting the measurements and pants and the jacket, we looked at shirts. We found one, and after an hour or more we were done!!! We go up to pay and it was over $600. I asked for a break down reminding him we asked for the $319 priced suit. He proceeded to tell us there was none in my husbands size so he chose a higher quality suit. Never told us, or asked us, or gave us the option to decide. There were so many people online and I wanted to just walk out but at this point we spent so much time and energy on this venture. Very bad business. As my relative was next online I over heard the same lines being told to him. Seems so unfair and unprofessional. Yes I could Jane walked out but at that point we felt stuck. read more

Honestly could not have had a worse experience here. Went with a group to get tuxes for my best friends wedding. We were there an hour and a half before they close but got an attitude saying there was going to be no time to fit us before they close. They ended up rushing through our fittings with an attitude the whole way. One friend and myself went back about a week before the wedding to make sure we were fitted correctly and got the worst attitude possible claiming he has never had to do this before and it was ridiculous. He later apologized for his attitude saying he helped a gay wedding before us and that put him in a bad mood which was an absurd excuse. We picked up the tuxes and they were bad fitting as expected. Pants were huge on me and jacket a bit snug. Since it was the day before the wedding I didn't have time to exchange. They didn't even call me to let me know my tux was in since they had my name and phone number wrong from the first visit. It would be one thing if the tuxes were bad, but the customer service was the worst I've ever experienced. Please go somewhere else for your suits and tuxes. read more

I just walked out due to lack of service. I had one sport coat to return that I ordered on line and had two in my hand to purchase but when the sales man walked past me with little acknowledgement and went to measures customer who came in after me and then preceded to assist them I walked out. Too bad they lost a sale . I will take the sport coat back to another location. read more

Sadly, if I could give 0 stars I would. It all started 3 years ago when I had to purchase a suit for my sister's wedding. I went to the location in Downtown Pittsburgh to get measured because that's where I was attending school, but selected to get it shipped to this location. Once it arrived, went for final fitting and that's when it started to be apparent to me that it is a horrible store. Long story short I was basically fat shamed and my sister (mortified at this point) called and told the manager who said that they would personally make sure to do my fitting. Fast forward to today when I call up for another suit, after being told by the groom he received a call for his. They look up my name and tell me they tried calling me and leaving messages on my inbox but that there was no room. The sad thing is that I always have my phone on me and not one in the past 2 weeks have I received a call from them. Additionally my inbox has only 6 voice messages in it; far from full. I highly suggest going to literally any other Jos A. Bank that you can. This one is not worth your time and frustration. read more

If you have nothing else to do leading up to your wedding than worry if your suit will arrive on time, never mind fit, shop at Jos. A Bank. If you enjoy paying a lot of money in a store where the sales people can't even crack a smile, this is your place! And, if after constant hassles and repeated trips to the store dealing with their continuous mess-ups you want to be reprimanded by the sales person, ASK FOR JOSH! Please, take your business elsewhere. We couldn't have imagined a worse experience. The customer service was horrific and it took about 6 trips to the store to get it right. My fiancé and I went in to buy a suit for our wedding. After telling the salesperson what we were looking for, he (Mark?) very kindly told us to come back on Wednesday as the suit would be at a huge discount. We came back on sale day and ordered the suit. The suit came in days later and we went in to get it marked for alterations. So far, so good. About a week later, and about a one month from the wedding date, the store called to let us know that the suit was ready to be picked up. The next day we went to pick it up and the suit was NOWHERE TO BE FOUND. They ordered another one and made a point of saying that they were graciously giving it to us at no charge. Wow, thanks! (We feel sorry for the poor soul who was given the wrong suit and maybe discovered it too late.) The new suit came in the next day and we again went in to get it marked up. They rushed the alterations, and we went back the following day to pick it up. As my fiancé has just come from the construction job site, he didn't want to try it on in the store so we took it home. When he finally tried on the suit, we discovered the pants were far too short. We went back to the store YET AGAIN, and told them the problem. There was no apology, no acknowledgement that this about our fifth trip to the store. They said they would redo the hem on the pants. After measuring the pants again, the sales person (manager?) Josh told us to come back the following day before 3:30 and the pants would be ready. To this point, we had been more than patient and even attempted to make jokes with the salespeople on several occasions about the crazy "mix ups" with the suit. We could hardly get a smile out of any of them. On this day, on our way out the door, we actually gave them more business by buying a pair of shoes. We walked into the store the following day at 3pm as instructed. Josh looked at us without any recognition and asked if he could help us. We reminded him who we were from the day before, and he went to look for the suit. After several minutes he came back and asked for our name. We reminded him and he went back again to look for the suit. He finally emerged with it, handed it to my fiancé, and said, "You should have called to say you were coming in. I need to leave early today." Well, the suit finally fits although it needs a good press after the hem had been taken up... and then down again. You'd think maybe they could have given us a pressed suit after all that? Ha, we now know that would be asking far too much. No, instead all we got was Josh's bad attitude and rude comment that we should have called, when it was less than 24 hours earlier that he told us to come back before 3:30. I wish I had read these other Yelp reviews before we stepped foot into this nightmare.... read more
