Well, I came in to the store on October 27th. My wedding is today, December 28th. I came in with two of my groomsmen and we picked our style tuxedo, colors and got fitted. Over the next month the rest of my groomsmen came in. We were told to come get our tuxedos on Wednesday December 26th. Sunday December 23rd some of my friends said they called and Jos A Banks said their tuxes were in the store. I called as well and they said they all arrived. Monday the 24th, I come into the store and they can't find mine. They asked me "are you sure you came to get fitted?" I said back to them.. "how would everyone else have gotten their tuxedo if I, the groom, didn't come to get fitted??" Turns out they forgot to order my tuxedo. They also forgot to order 2 other groomsmen tuxedos. This is now 4 days before the wedding and the next day is Christmas. I am not yelling at them but I absolutely upset. They tell me to calm down, have no sense of urgency and just really don't seem to care. They tell me come back Wednesday the 26th.
Wednesday the 26th, the father of the bride comes in and they also forgot to order his. I come in around 5:30pm. My shirt didn't fit, the pants didn't fit they also had a hole in the crotch area, and my jacket didn't fit. Still - no sense of urgency and acting like they didn't do anything wrong. 3.5 hours go by. I wait while they tailor it. After all this I have my tux and leave. The brides cousin flies in from Arizona and he got fitted for his tux out there. He was told by the Greenwich store, come Thursday morning to get your tux. Thursday morning, 1 day prior to the wedding the cousin arrives and his tuxedo is nowhere to be found. This whole situation has been a nightmare. They still are giving us attitude and accusing us of not doing this whole thing right. We call up corporate. They are sending two tuxedos to Hartford ct where the wedding is today, the day of the wedding. The cousin has to go to that store this morning and we all are really hoping his tuxedo fits. Given that we all had many problems, I'm not feeling confident that it will.
Joseph A banks has been a nightmare to deal with. Nothing went right. They didn't offer anyone any discounts or anything after all of this. It's been a complete joke. I have 3 friends getting married this upcoming year and i will make sure they go somewhere else to get their wedding party tuxedos. Anywhere but Joseph A Banks read more
