For my senior prom, I went here to get my tuxedo and I wanted it to be perfect. To ensure I got everything right, I asked Mr.Zemo if I could try on a couple different jackets and shirts. Every single time I asked for a new one, he groaned and acted like it was so physically taxing to take a jacket off the rack. Isn't that your job? Why should you make the customer feel badly for wanting to try on other options? At one point he even said to me, "the faster you try on the jacket the faster you get out of my store". Dude, I understand acting a bit offensive as part of a gag, but Mr.Zemo continuously crossed the line as it got to a point where I genuinely felt like he didn't want my business. I kept my composure throughout the entire experience which was hard because he was getting on my nerves, and I made sure I was respectful, but I was just interrupted with "WHAT?" Or some other bitterness. The quality of the tux itself was good, aside from some broken buttons on the shirt sleeve. In my opinion, I just regret giving this business my money because Mr. Zemo does NOT deserve it. Go to someone who is kind and willing to help rather than an old man who complains at every given opportunity.

Two days before the wedding, a friend suggested an alternation that would transform it into the perfect gown but I knew it was too late. I called every tailor I knew but no one was willing to help. With 24 hours to go, Abby returned my call. She opened her shop and within an hour, had the alterations done. She could have charged me anything but only charged for the hour's work! My son picked up the dress and handed it off to me at the rehearsal dinner a few hours later. The dress was beautiful and the next day was great! There are no seamstresses left like Abby. We rented a suit here for the grooms party for my friends wedding, 10 men, $300 per suit. My first issue with them was when i called to give my measurements, my phone call was answered by a very rude man who told me I could not possibly be that shape and size and they needed to come in (I'm pretty normal 6'1 190 lbs). I live in Manhattan so it is not very easy to get to. After some back and forth and a very complex plan involving an longtrain and expensive uber ride, I went into the store to get measured. This was the only somewhat pleasant part of the experience. He threw a suit on and measured me, no big deal in and out in ten minutes. When i checked the measurements vs. what I had tried to provide over the phone the only difference was the inseam on the suit jacket which was a one inch off (mine over the phone was longer). The wedding day came and it was time for me to get the suit. I had a friend pick it up since I live in Manhattan and it is not easy to get to. He gave my friend trouble saying they don't really give the suits to wedding party members etc. After some back and forth he finally let my friend take the suit. At the rehearsal dinner the friends who had picked up the suits warned me how poorly they fit and that they had to go back to have them adjusted. The wedding morning I put on my custom suit to find that the sleeves were about five inches shorter than they should have been. The suit clearly hadn't been altered from it's last "custom fitting." The pants, aren't custom at all they were a no belt one size fits most pants. I spent the entire day with my hands in my pockets to avoid the embarrassingly short jacket sleeves showing. When the suit was returned I complained about the size of the suit. They offered to return my $50 deposit even though I was "late, and the wedding was weeks ago." I never signed a contract or anything saying when to return the suit and the suit was returned 8 days after the wedding. After dealing with this company I decided to see how much these "custom suits" were online. The Ike Behar Evening Suit we had rented were for sale on many websites (for purchase not rent) at $150-$300. Moral of the story, avoid this place at all costs. You can buy much nicer suits for $200 or $250 and spend another $50 to have them completely tailored to fit your body (and they will actually fit your body) and it's something you can keep for more than 8 days. For any competition of Viktor Talbots, if you are going to be in the business of custom suits please at least provide your customers with well fitting suits and/or good customer service and experience because this was overall horrible. I would imagine any good recommendations on this page are from family and or friends of the owner or employees.

Had an absolutely horrible experience since July till today , went in too get fitted with my…read moregroomsman's and my father the first week of July for our tux's for my wedding yesterday (09/26/25) , everything was fine with getting fitted till about a week ago when I called and asked Sal when our tux's were going to be ready , I was trying too stay ahead , and got told that they weren't going to be ready till POSSIBLY Wednesday or Thursday , my wedding was yesterday on Friday , finally got a call that my suits were ready on Wednesday at 430pm , as soon as some of us tried them on the hems were breaking , and some adjustments needed to be done , no big deal .. picked everything up on Thursday and non of our suits were ironed , they had WHITE DOG HAIR on all of them , they had white stains left and right , me and 3 of my groomsman's buttons on our jackets ripped off a hour into wearing them , my fathers button on his vest broke , I got handed a pair of shoes that were STAINED with glitter and 6 month old dust , nothing but attitudes from Sal , I received a phone call yesterday morning getting SCREAMED at by him because my sister in law never got her son's suit from him demanding me on my wedding day to pay him the remaining $170 , avoid this place like the plague unless you want his white mastiffs hair all over your suits and if you want too be treated like a piece of garbage
