Jorgensens has recently moved, and even though our maps app knew the new address, with the construction and with the restaurant staying on the same street, we had to drive around a bit through that construction to find it. We met two friends there for lunch. This isn't a restaurant per se but rather a sort of cafeteria style deli with a limited menu. They do bring the order to your table, though. They don't offer ice water. Instead, they only sell bottled water that Nestle and other companies buy from us (the public) and then resell back to us for obscene profits. We had coffee. I had trouble finding something I wanted, and settled on the Verni sandwich, which is a meatloaf sandwich. It didn't do much for me as I found the flatbread very hard to chew. If I had been more savvy, I could have asked to substitute ciabatta or some other type of bread. It came with a small bag of Lays chips. My wife had a grilled cheese sandwich she was happy with (I defy anyone to make a.bad grilled cheese sandwich!). One of our friends had a salad, which was huge and the other a sandwich wrap. They also have a display of bakery items. It was all okay, but I don't see us going back as we have too many new untried restaurants and old favorites to go to. read more

If you're not going to open at the time posted on the door because you're the only one working, you can at least tell the customers waiting outside. Missing ceiling tiles, multiple burned out lights and gallon cans of paint laying around near exits are not a great way welcome customers. read more

If you're looking for somewhere to study or use the internet for anything productive, this is not the place for you. The main attraction for Jorgy's is their array of coffees in their center isle. It seems as if there are in the middle of a remodel or redecoration. They are in a prime location on Main Street, but they're not living up to their hipster vibes. The food is brought to you by the employees shouting of your name (this could probably run more smoothly if it was done by number). I was offered somebody's else's wrap despite not having ordered any food. There aren't many interesting vegetarian options and no vegan options (I also didn't notice many gluten free options but I wasn't looking). However, their croissants can be amazing if you catch them on the right day. It seems as if there is new management that is trying to find their tone with the establishment. I would only recommend Jorgy's if you're just grabbing a quick coffee with a friend or to go. read more

No kidding, waited a half hour for a half sandwich to go. The young cashier apologized at least 4 times. I felt for her. The older woman working there didn't step in to help the new kitchen person - the only one making food for customers - until an order from the eat-in section was returned. He said he ordered his sandwich without mayo. I saw a man come out of the back and look in on the slow kitchen situation and then leave. Would no one go over and help out? It's crazy, a half hour for a half sandwich to go. This new owner has issues. read more

What is going on with Jorgensen's? I went in for the first time in maybe a year. First of all, it was so hot inside the place; I had to stand outside while my food was being made because the temperature was just unbearable. And then, there was only one employee working the morning shift. She was taking orders and making the food. And finally, there is so little on the menu now. It seems not only have they paired down the food options, but the decor is just horrible. It's not inviting or comfortable. I used to love this place; however it's under new ownership from what I understand, and things have changed. They had a little girl probably under the age of 10 running the register, which was really cute, but the poor thing was over her head and the woman running the counter was being short with her. I brought my mom in to treat her to lunch. We ordered a grilled chicken panini and a cup of corn chowder. First they gave me the wrong sandwich, then they said I didn't pay for the corn chowder (which I did), and then they brought out the second sand which and it was a wrap and not a panini. The food was awful. The panini had zero taste to it and the veggies inside tasted terrible. The chowder was really weak and lacked any flavor. The woman with really short black hair and pierced ears was super cool. Really liked her and she was very empathetic. The woman running the counter was older, with glasses, a tattoo on her chest, and terrible dental hygiene, was really rude, short, and unapologetic. She was one of the most inefficient people I have seen. I was really disappointed as I used to love this place but I would never recommend it now. read more

I like Jorgensen's. Is it the greatest coffee shop I've ever been in--probably not. I am a bit surprised by some of the low reviews on Yelp, however. I'm a fan of downtowns and even though getting to Waterville's is never easy, when I'm there and in need of coffee, I choose Jorgensen's. I also like it as a meet-up spot to connect with partners and conduct business. Given the freelance nature of my work, it's also a spot I'm apt to use to pop-in and fire up my laptop when in need of cranking out some work on the road. A cup of coffee and one of their cookies or pastries makes for a great mid-afternoon jump start, too. Since Jorgensen's serves Carrabassett Coffee, a small-batch specialty roaster, located in lovely Kingfield, Maine, I'm able to support another local business by frequenting their coffee shop. I like the coffee and again, it allows me to support a locally-owned Maine business. My experiences with staff have always been pleasant and upbeat, too. read more

Ate there before Yelp and was unimpressed. We tried it again, while looking for a quick lunch in Waterville. It's a stereotypical college coffee shop. Unfortunately, appearances can be deceiving. The restaurant and restrooms were dirty. The Southwestern salad was inedible. The Buffalo chicken wraps were somewhere between bad and horrible. I certainly wouldn't eat another meal here again. I guess I would consider a cup of coffee, but only under duress. This is the rare local restaurant that casts chain restaurants in a positive light. read more

Extremely incompetent. Waited 10 minutes for my order only for them to tell me they couldn't make 2 of the sandwiches. Reordered different sandwiches, waited 5 more minutes and then asked me to write my order down because they couldn't remember it. Always loved going here before new owners took over. We Went when they first changed hands and we were very disappointed. We decided to give them another try today. The girl at the register was new. We were ok with that. What we couldn't understand was there were no prices on anything on the board so we didn't know how much anything was until we bought and paid. We ordered a wrap right from the board which was directly in front of the cashier and she asked " where did you see that?" Would have thought she'd of least have seen the board before that. Didn't know prices. The wrap had cheese in it which wasn't specified on the board. The salad was mostly lettuce. The former owners used to at least give you two slices of bread with their salads. Needless to say we won't be going back. If I could have given a 0 star rating I would have. read more

I used to go here often. Food usually tastes pretty good. I had a bad experience when I ordered a few sandwiches for me and some coworkers. When I got back to work I realized that they hadn't given me my order. I was pretty irritated due to the fact that I didn't have time to drive back there so I wasn't eating lunch that day. When I called back they had no clue what happened to my order. They also told me they wouldn't be able to give me my money back until their manager was in the next day. It was really to much effort to get my $12 back so I said screw it. I have also noticed that the kitchen looks filthy and the bathroom always smells of urine and is nasty. Don't go if you're looking for consistency. I have been a regular customer for years. Ever since new ownership has taken over the place is going downhill. Some of the staff is polite but there is a particular woman who is rude with most customers, and doesn't seem as if she wants to be there. I've ordered the same meal for the past month and a half: a southwest chicken wrap. This wrap is grilled and the past few times I've order this meal it has been cold. The meal also standardly comes with a bag of chips and those also have not been coming with the meal. I would understand if they were out, or even if they were extra.. but they don't make any comments saying they out of chips or if they are extra, even when asked. read more

I've always tried to give them the benefit of the doubt because I want to support a local business but the service today was AWFUL- like, pathetic to the point of embarrassment. [The only exception is the young woman with very short brown hair, who is polite, attentive, and lovely! Get a job somewhere better- you'd do great!] Went there for lunch with my girlfriend, ordered two sandwiches off their menu with a minor adjustment to one because my GF can't eat cheese. Tried to partially pay with a gift card worth $10 but since they changed owners earlier this year, their new computer system doesn't recognize older gift cards. The young woman suggested to the manager that they just take $10 off our bill because we'd already given the business that money, but the manager wouldn't hear of it (nor did she apologize to us.) After paying full price for the lunch, the sandwiches came out with cheese on hers and without mayo on mine. When we complained they fixed the sandwiches but again- not a single apology or acknowledgment that they screwed up. Slow, rude, incredibly unprofessional service. Who doesn't want to like a local Spot in a small town downtown? The other reviewers are correct that this place is mediocre. They were out of my first two menu choices so I got the buffalo chicken wrap. The grilled chicken was the kind that has fake "grill" marks. Jorgensens, although a local favorite has got to be one of the worst local coffee shops I have ever been too. Coffee is AWFUL. Sits for hours in thermoses and ive never had a welcoming experience with the staff. But maybe the worst thing is it closes at 5 or 6 which is incredibly inconvenient. read more

Not too sure about the low reviews from others but, not worried, either. Was in town, early morning, needed espresso and bkfst to start the day. My latte was very well made, strong, and super yummy. I had the bkfst sandwich with ham, generous portion, very tasty and freshly made. Only complaint is I was there early, the espresso machine was not on. There's a fine line between a cute, funky atmosphere and... funky hygiene. Nice layout, but there was no soap or paper towels in the bathroom that the employees and customers use. I've been coming here for years. I enjoy the atmosphere, and the servers are always friendly and polite. Additionally, the variety and quality of coffee is very good. However, over the last year or so, the speed & quality of the service has dropped significantly. I saw some not-fresh-anymore lettuce in a friend's sandwich, and I've waited for 7-10 minutesd on a coffee drink while one of the employees chatted over the counter with a friend, acquaintance, or co-worker. (Not sure which). Again - the staff are always polite, but the seem far less dedicated to doing a good job than they used to. I still go here with some regularity, because I enjoy the atmosphere and the quality of the food is still *sometimes* good. I'd just really love to see the staff being more attentive. read more
