My interaction was via the drive through. I waited patiently in a long line. Once I reached the first window, it was vacant. I sat and waited but no one came. So I proceeded to pull forward to the second window. The young lady asked if I placed an order. I explained that I waited, but couldn't, because no one was at the first window to take my order. She stated that she couldn't take my order and instructed me to pull forward, and get back in that long line again to order at the first window. Despite pointing out how punitive this request was, she would not budge and correct their erroneous action. To start things off i don't even think this deserves a star. But in order for me to complete this review i need to give at least one. So as many aroma lovers may know it's always going to be a lovely shopping trip when you start the day off with aromas. This however was not the case. My best friend and I are just two broke girls and decided to do separate orders. We got a drink each. A sandwich each. One order of hash browns. ordering we were very satisfied a kind young man took are order and we paid. As we waited for 25 minutes. We finally received our food. However it was funny, because the woman at the window decided to give her opinion on two girls ordering food. both of which who have struggled to have a healthy relationship with food. She proceeded to say to us "Wow you two have quite the large order" Now i might just be opinionated but that was an absolute unnecessary comment. Your job is to pass me my food smile and tell me to have a good day. Not judge two teenage girls. Just thought I would enlighten my aroma lovers have a good day. read more

So, I stopped into this location as I was travelling up from the Portland area for work and was pleasantly surprised with this little place in Waterville, ME. if you look at the location from the outside, you will probably swing right by on the way into the downtown area or you might miss it because it pops up on the right hand side of the main road and if you are not looking, you might miss it. I stepped in needing to stretch the legs a bit after a lenghty drive and as soon as you walk in you are smacked in the face with a heavy waft of fresh brewed coffee like you would find down in the Old Port in Portland. They had various selections of pastries and donuts in the display case to choose from and they all seemed to be fresh even after the rush of the morning. The staff was super friendly and the litle tight restaruant was clean and tidy which is important in a little place like this competing with the big boys in Dunkin and Starbucks. I would recommend it if you want an alternative to the big national chains and supporting more of a local establishment. read more

Are you awake yet? No? Just step through the doors doors here and take a deep breath. They don't call it Aroma Joes for nothing! Stopped in here to refuel for the 5 hour drive back to Burlington and I'm so glad that we did. The shop had several tables and a couple of comfy large chairs to lounge and sip your favorite caffeinated beverage as well as a selection of assorted wooden puzzles and games. If you're in a rush or prefer the convenience of not having to leave your car, there is also a drive through option. The coffee portions are generous -- so make sure to express how much cream and sugar since they add it all behind the counter. The factor that pushed this to five stars (other than great product, fun atmosphere) was the customer service. The girl behind the counter was patient, polite and helpful while we perused the menu and ordered -- and when the drinks came out, she took the extra time to check if the drinks were to our liking. One of the coffees we got (with cream and sugar) was heavier on the aforementioned than the coffee content, she without hesitation offered to replace it. Way to go AJ's - doing justice to your crafted caffeinated beverages and to the consumers tastes. read more

The coffee here is pretty good, and it's a decent alternative to the Dunkin Donuts nearby (I love Dunk's, but sometimes I need something different). I really like their breakfast sandwiches, in particular. The ham and cheese croissant is delicious, and isn't so huge that I feel like I'm enormous after eating one. The employees are very friendly and will get your order to you as quickly as they can. This spot gets pretty busy in the morning, so I wouldn't recommend stopping in during rush hour if you're late for a meeting and don't have more than 5 minutes to spare. read more

Worst coffee shop I've ever been to, there were grinds in my coffee, and the customer service sucks.

Went there for a mocha fro joe(for my husband), the machine was broken. I ordered a hazelnut iced coffee with cream and xtra sugar. My coffee had no flavoring. There isn't any consistency from one aroma joes to the next. read more

My first visit to the Waterville KMD Aroma Joe's was very positive. I have been a customer for years at DD and Tim Horton's, but the coffee here is great. Prices are very good and it's very clean. I like neatness and cleanliness in food drink, and people who serve you. You needn't worry at this location. The girls here are neat, clean and have great attitudes toward customers. My wife and I will be going back and I am now a new customer.! read more

I just went to this shop this morning, and was excited to go, as I had been eyeing the shop for ages. I ordered a decaf iced americano with cream and sugar, and got a hot americano with sugar, no cream. They seemed a little confused when I asked for americano, and we had to explain. I also asked about the absence of the cream, and they promised that the cream was diluted because of the water in the americano, and of course I didn't believe them, so I got more cream, and then it looked like coffee and it tasted fine. Unfortunately, I can't give them credit for the "new business flusters" because they have been open since last fall. The shop was clean and decorated with old pictures of Waterville, which were nice to look at. read more
