Let's start with the most positive note. You receive your order hot and very quick. You can see clearly into the kitchen while your food is being prepared, the cleanliness and pace in which they're working. Inside there's a small lobby area where you can order your food on two kiosk it could get pretty crowded so it may be best to do as everyone else by waiting in your car. Within 10 minutes I received a text that my meal was ready. I received hot, very large portions of food. As for the food itself as noted by others the special sauce for the additional two dollars helps the taste of the fish as the fish really is bland, but it's not overly coated with breading. I had the buttermilk fried fish it was a good sandwich, however, the bread was a little too hard for me. It was giving me day old bread. The salmon fried rice was excellent plenty of flavor, nice portion of salmon and other ingredients, this I would do over and over again. The shrimp fried rice was pretty good and it's something that I also would order again. What is not their fault? Parking is at a premium But you can find parking within a block. Overall would I go again? Maybe but only if I'm in the area I wouldn't rush, but I wouldn't avoid it.

    Thai Chili fish hoagie

I've been waiting to get here, and I finally made it. It's a true takeout spot where you place your order at the Kiosk. The music was good to keep you entertained while you wait. I placed my order for the Thai Chili fish hoagie. I was a bit annoyed that I could only add 1 item to the sandwich. I wanted lettuce, tomato, hot and sweet peppers, but couldn't get all three. Once the order was placed, it took exactly 9 minutes for my order to be ready. The fish was hot and the peppers and Thai sauce were a good pairing. The sandwich was just OK to me. The portions are hefty, and you could save one half for another day. However, the fish didn't have enough flavor, and the bread was tough. I'd give it a 2.5 out of 5. But you go and judge for yourself; it may be to your liking. I want softer bread and more flavor. No matter what, I will always do my best to support Black-owned businesses. Til we eat again...

Whiten fish and Fries . Fish not golden brown as you can see burnt. Fries is not fresh taste like they were cooked in old cooking grease

I heard so much about this place. This is my first time coming there and it will be my last I ordered the three-piece whiten . The fish was not golden brown. It was dark brown. Overcooked. The fries tasted like they were cooked. In old cooking grease

Leaving them only 3 stars pains me because of how long we've waited to try them. We ordered the buttermilk fish hoagie and the salmon fried rice. We will start with the good, the salmon fried rice was amazing and abundant. Unfortunately the fish hoagie which we've hyped up in our minds fell flat. It was fat and full of meat unfortunately it was overcooked, a little hard and dry. I kind of feel like the fish sat out for awhile. It was a big sandwich but it didn't hit the mark. We vowed that we will go back and try the fried shrimp and wings and will definitely fry the salmon fried rice again.

First time trying this place after seeing it on social media. i ordered the buttermilk fish hoagie and i have to say they pack this thing. It's enough for at least one other sandwich or to share. Price point is reasonable for the amount of fish they put in it. The fish was fresh and hot the way it should be. I only got tartar n hot sauce with lettuce and tomato. The fish alone didn't have much flavor but it did have a decent breading/batter. The bread was a little tough for my personal liking and it probably goes without saying if your not going to eat it right away don't get any veggies bc they will be mush from the fresh hot fish. I ordered in-store via their kiosk and service was friendly and not a long wait time. Mid day on a Sunday had a few people in front of me but nothing crazy. I would return to try other menu items, as a few people in line told me about their fried shrimp.

    Salmon and shrimp fried rice

Customer Experience Review - Jordan Johnson Restaurant I visited Jordan Johnson Restaurant with great anticipation after seeing the restaurant featured on TikTok. I was traveling from New Jersey and planned to grab dinner on my way to South in Philadelphia for a jazz concert. I truly wanted to support the business and experience the food for myself. I arrived around 6:00 PM and placed a simple takeout order--fried rice with shrimp and salmon. At no point during the ordering process was I informed that there would be an extended wait time. By 7:00 PM, I checked on my order and was told the restaurant was only on ticket numbers in the 100s, while my ticket number was 2266. I was advised to wait outside in the cold or sit in my car. As time went on, I checked again and was told they were around ticket 216, while I was still waiting. It became clear that the wait would be much longer than expected. By 8:00 PM, with a 9:00 PM show to attend in Philadelphia, the delay became extremely frustrating. Had I been informed upfront that the wait would be approximately 2 1/2 hours, I would have made a different decision. When I attempted to cancel my order due to the excessive wait, the situation escalated unnecessarily. Instead of understanding or an apology, the owner confronted me publicly and stated that a 2 1/2-hour wait was normal. My concern was never about how busy the restaurant was--I understand and respect success. My issue was the lack of communication. Customers should be told upfront about extended wait times so they can make an informed choice. During this time, other customers who were waiting in line expressed similar frustration. Several people canceled their orders, particularly those waiting on rice dishes, as the kitchen appeared to be significantly behind. All of these exchanges took place in front of other customers, which felt unprofessional--especially coming from an owner. Situations like this should be handled calmly and privately. Eventually, I was told my order could be remade if it was re-entered into the system. After an additional 10-15 minutes, I finally received my food. Unfortunately, after such a long wait, the quality did not meet expectations. The rice was greasy, the salmon was dry, and the shrimp was overly salty. Given the strong online reviews and social media hype, I expected the food to be excellent, but it was not what I anticipated. I want to be very clear--this review comes from a place of honesty and support, not negativity. As an African-American woman, I make it a point to support Black-owned businesses, and I am one of the biggest supporters of Black men running restaurants. Being born and raised in Philadelphia, I know how important it is to uplift our community, especially since we do not have enough Black-owned restaurants thriving in this city. I am genuinely happy to see Jordan Johnson Restaurant doing well and wish the owner continued success. However, success must be matched with transparency, accountability, and customer service. If demand has outgrown the current space or systems, it may be time to expand or improve order management. Unfortunately, due to this experience, I would think twice before returning. That said, I truly hope this feedback is taken constructively, as clear communication and professionalism could greatly improve the customer experience and help the business continue to grow.

The food is amazing everything we had was delicious, first let me start off by saying this hoagie is so big you're probably going to need two days to eat. It not only is it full of flavor. The sauce on it was amazing. I could've just licked the sauce on his own. When you arrive there, just know that it's best to order online or put your order in advance because the wait is long but it's well worth it. When you get there you have to put in your order through a kiosk and then they make your order fresh out the kitchen. This place is a to go, pick up is a must. The kitchen is pretty open for the most part. You can see them working in the kitchen and when I tell you, they were busy. I hope everyone that reads this try it, and you will not be disappointed.

Ordered a Mango Habanero Buttermilk Fried Fish Hoagie. It was ridiculously good. Thanks for a quality spot to grab a sandwich. I heard the wings are the bomb also. That's on my next stop.

I've been eyeing this place for a while since I first say the reel about it on IG. I didn't know when I would get a chance to visit because I live in North Carolina and they're only open on the weekends and my days off are Wed/Thu but I was in town last weekend and I made a point to get this done. The parking can be a challenge but I took my chances and parked at the grocery store across the street. Do so at your own risk, they have signs posted but I didn't care I had to have this fish hoagie. The line or the wait wasn't long. I went in placed my order at the kiosk and stood there peeking out the window to make sure my car didn't get towed, LOL. I was hoping you could sit down and eat here because my hotel was 25 mins away but this is take out only. That's why I only gave them 4 stars but the hoagie was one of the best ones I've ever had. I hope I get to try it again soon. I will be prepared to eat in the car next time.

We have eaten at the high tops, in the main dining room, and at the tables extending into The Harper lobby, and each area feels like part of the same unified experience. The colors and lighting inside are especially warm and inviting, giving the room a glow that feels cozy and uplifting, especially during a Philadelphia winter. Food remains at the center of the experience, and my order is always the Jerusalem bagel with egg and cheese. On the rare occasions when turkey bacon appears, I add it as a welcome delicacy and a little extra sustenance, though the bagel is already delicious on its own. The cinnamon sugar kubaneh, the chocolate chip cookie, and the Bloody Mary are excellent. K'Far has also expanded its selection of bowls and salads since we ate here most regularly, and they look consistent with the quality of everything else. These days, a full breakfast here does not always fit within our budget, but I still make a point of stopping in for OX Coffee, which is delicious and, happily, roasted in Philadelphia. The Yemenite latte is another distinctive pleasure, aromatic and satisfying without feeling like a novelty created merely for attention. The staff is consistently charming, welcoming, and composed, and the team's continuity and energy suggest that people genuinely enjoy working here. When our budget allows, I will absolutely return to eat. Perhaps the clearest expression of K'Far's brilliance arrives in one memory from a cold, radiantly sunny Saturday, when "Inspector Norse" by the Norwegian producer Todd Terje comes through the speakers as the restaurant buzzes around us. The track, the worldly crowd, and the aroma from the kitchen create the elusive feeling Steve Cook and Mike Solomonov understand so well: people go out to eat because they want to feel seen and be briefly transported into a more vivid version of life. I already love K'Far and The Hoxton as separate brands, so seeing them come together at The Hoxton in Williamsburg feels like an unusually natural and exciting partnership. Creating this kind of social magnetism inside a bakery and café is a subtle achievement, and Philadelphia is richer for having a place with this much flavor, warmth, and personality.

The space itself is huge and very clean, with plenty of tables and seating, so it was easy for everyone to spread out, settle in, and enjoy themselves without feeling packed in. A major point in its favour is the setup for watching sports. They have a massive wall of TV screens, plus more TVs throughout the space, which made it very easy to keep up with multiple games at once.
