Whirlwind trip to the plains of Auburn for #128 between UGA-TIGERS via Savannah. The town of Auburn oozes SEC big league ambience and their fans exemplify hospitality. We started by visiting the historic Toomer's corner, and welcomed UGA'S impressive motorcade. Tem minute hike from the Corner to Jordan-Hare passing thousands of Gameday tailgaters and enjoying the beautiful Campus. Entering the stadium was seamless especially considering it houses 88K. Again, the Auburn fans were more than gracious with helpful stadium hints. Once we arrived in our seats then Jordan-Hare truly came alive. The pageantry of their band, fan interaction, and atmosphere are top notch. Are favorite pregame ritual is Aurea swooping the stadium, and then the subsequent fly over by Apaches! Not a bad seat in the house complete with several video boards. Concessions are readily available on the concourse at reasonable prices. Worth the drive to enjoy a rivalry game between 2 storied programs. On a personal note, it was a great day with my Georgia family. Sic'em Dawgs.

Kind of dirty, a little worn out and they allow people to brazenly smoke those vaporizers in the stands. Not good. Parking is essentially non existent. People park on the side of the roads and in the grass around the stadium. Terrible cell reception. The fans seem to generally lack self awareness and aren't 100% up to speed on what constitutes good manners. Storming your own field after winning a regular season game? Come on man. That being said, it's still a stadium that holds about 80k people which can make a big game exciting with a big crowd....and Alabama does get to play here every other year so they have that going for them. Cut out the vaporizers and get some parking. 3 stars.

Oh well, can't win em all! The new clear bag rule stopped us at the gate for 25 minutes!! This was AFTER we went out and paid $20 for a clear bag!!!! First guy said "cut the straps off and then y'all can go in, here's my pocket knife ". My son is a Deputy Sheriff , so while doing this, another lady comes up and starts yelling about it. Then I guess a supervisor was called, who made us dump all the baby diapers and bottles out and hand carry them. Then they threw away our new bag!!! We finally got inside and what did we see? A lady with a bag (and baby) exactly like ours!!!! Bad thing was, all this weekend was my sons Christmas- his first game. First impression? He never wants to go back:( We drove 8 hours to see the game, their family drove 5. Thanks Auburn Employees, what I had hoped was a new tradition you guys killed at the gate.....

Last weekend at Jordan-Hare was electric. The tailgate was popping, people were talking, drinking, laughing, eating; kids were playing and families from all over the south with a direct or indirected connection to the University of Auburn were ready for the War Eagles to bring a victory home. I had been invited by my brother, an Auburn student, to stay with his family for a day or two on my way back home from work in New Mexico. After several days of driving, and layovers in Roswell and Memphis, TN, Auburn felt like an oasis; an oasis because it allowed me to rest for several days straight; an oasis, in the literal sense, 'cause of the contracts between the lushness of the south against the dryness of the New Mexican desert; and an oasis, because people in the south, at least to me, seem to be more welcoming to strangers than those in the Southwest (which is not to say I didn't make great and lasting friendships in NM, but just that it took me longer to break the ice). And that was my main experience at Jordan-hare. People I had never met before welcomed me with open arms to their tailgate parties, learning about me and my recent experiences, while I in turn learned about them. Since my brother as his family live relative close to the stadium we walked to the stadium. Parking doesn't seem to be a problem as even when filled to capacity, there are people all around the area who rent out their driveways and curve-sides for attendees to park. As with any major sporting event traffic is a problem, but the city knows how to deal with the huge influx of people every game brings, even to the point of making certain two way roads, one way, just to alleviated traffic before and after games. Another thing that must be praised is the level of organization of the stadium. I frequently attend games at the now Hard Rock stadium, or the BB&T center here in Florida, and the set ups are very similar and extremely effective in moving thousands of people quickly through the halls and to their seats. Directions are easy to follow. Water is provided free of charge for fans, and the only thing left is to make it to your seat. As a student my brother got great seats to the game. Everyone around was extremely nice and accommodating. Then the War Eagle was released from above our heads and the kids exploded with excitement. The game was incredibly entertaining. Auburn controlled Arkansa, both defensively and offensively, throughout the entire game. The crowd didn't stop chanting, screaming, and rooting for their team, and we all, as well as the kids loved every moment of it. To top the evening, after the win everyone left the stadium to what seems to be the center of the city to Tp the trees around the city. In any other place this would have been extremely illegal, but as I was told in Auburn, TP-ing is tradition after a win! - All and all, I had a blast. My brother and his wife had a blast. The kids had a blast, as well as the rest of the city.

I believe in Auburn and love it. But the stadium makes itself tough to love. Don't get me wrong, I have great memories here and is probably heads above a lot stadiums in the country. But I have been to other stadium with similar caliber football programs. And it is quite a bit behind. There are definitely some other prominent programs with worse stadiums. But I only have to worry about going to those once in a blue moon. I have so many great memories in this stadium. From coming as a kid, to going in college and now taking my family for the first time. I also may be a little more harsh because I have worked events at this stadium and seen a lot of the other parts. Let me start with the good. The concourses are wide in the upper and lower deck. With long concession lines, this is crucial. The video board is amazing if you are sitting in 3/4 of the stadium. But that leads into one of the bad. Just one video board eliminates a 1/4 of the stadium from having a good view. There are definitely a lot of cosmetic things that are dated all throughout the stadium. And the press box is embarrassingly dated. The suites are pretty nice. But I have been in others that are far better. In my mind, the stadium I frequent the most is just average.

Great stadium, easy to navigate into the upper decks. Not a bad seat in the house. One of the best atmospheres in college football especially for the Iron Bowl. You will want to stop and get some Toomers Lemonade before the game. Over all great place to go for a college football game.

My oh my. War Damn to you reading this. Auburn fan since I went here for cheerleading camp for JV and Varsity years. Growing up a Bammer, I made the switch after seeing the beautiful plains. Alumni. Once upon a time season ticket holder. I've seen this stadium from the nose bleeds to row 8 on the 50 yard line. Club level seats but haven't snuck into a box yet. YET. It's coming in a a later review. If you clicked on this, I hope you enjoy the pics of these moments as much I enjoyed living them. War Eagle!

Visiting fan's perspective. Great stadium and great game experience. Pros - Expect to be treated very well by Auburn fans. First class people. - Beautiful campus. - Recommend walking to Toomer's Corner and checking out the older part of town. - Love the eagle flying prior to kickoff. Great tradition. - The stadium atmosphere is electric and one of the best in the SEC Cons - For a visitor, not a lot of tailgating options. You have to park so far away from the stadium it seems to take away from getting to meet a lot of the Auburn fans. - Traffic is a bitch. If you are tailgating then go early and make a day out of it. I'm talking going several hours early. They have shuttle services from multiple areas around town you can take. Since I tailgate, I normally use my park whiz app to buy a parking spot in advance. This is a lot better than winging it on gamely and hoping you can get a good tailgating spot.

This was my very first football game I got a chance to go see a live game in person and I'm so excited I finally got a chance to go to one. I'm glad my seats were good enough to where I got a chance to see the whole field before the game I got the chance to look around at some of the shops down in Auburn this was a very great experience and I can't wait until I come back

A slightly above average gameday experience. I attended the 2006 LSU vs Auburn game. With any college football gameday atmosphere, I judge games by the following: 1. Friday night experience 2. Saturday pregame/tailgating experience 3. Actual game traditions/atmosphere/stadium staff 4. Postgame atmosphere Friday Night. Auburn has probably the most tame Friday night atmosphere i've experienced in the SEC, with it slightly being more rowdy than Washington and Arizona State of the Pac 10. Overall it was a very average experience. Especially for a big game atmosphere like LSU vs Auburn. Saturday Tailgating: Auburn is in the upper tier of the upper half when it comes tailgating. In terms of sheer numbers, it's a step below LSU and Ole Miss, but above Florida & Tennessee, and on par with Alabama. The neat part about Jordan-Hare is that you there's a grassy area right by JHS with rows of tailgating tents. Something I think is better than LSU, with its concrete tailgating right by Tiger Stadium. The concrete tailgating right by the stadium makes it feel too much like an NFL stadium. Game Traditions: It's a mixed bag. There are great traditions like the rolling of Toomer's Corner (and lets hope those trees survive, after the poisoning), Tiger Walk, and the best part the eagle flying around the stadium. No matter who you are, when you see the eagle spread its wings, and you see that huge wingspan, you can't help but to feel goosebumps. The bad side is that Auburn either has adapted other schools' traditions/cheers and it feels to NFL like. Here are some examples: They use the "It's great to be, an Auburn Tiger (Florida Gator/Georgia Bulldog) cheer. Not unique at all. The fight song tune is the same exact as Georgia's fight song. I would hate to have any of our songs shared by any other school. The absolute worst part though is that Auburn uses way too much piped in music. The stuff Auburn plays is no different from any other sterile NFL atmosphere. The band isn't involved that much in the gameday atmosphere, and I think that's what makes CFB better than the NFL. Crowd noise was also average. Definitely a step below Florida, and about on par with Tennessee and Alabama. Postgame: Auburn fans are awesome. They are too nice to a fault. Our game came out of the same ramp as the student section. I totally braced myself for the verbal abuse from their fans, but we actually ended up making friends with some Auburn coeds, and hungout with them Saturday night. Definitely a shock, considering the hate between LSU and Auburn with our high stake games. Overall an above average experience, but nothing absolutely outstanding. Also this game was marred by a terrible call by the refs. Totally should've been pass interference on Auburn with 2 minutes left in the game.

Upper sideline seats great view from here

First time out to the Alabama area to visit a family member and being in the area I wanted to catch an sec conference game which ended up being auburn tigers vs Louisiana tech. Im a California person born and raised and a huge USC Trojan fan, but recognize good football when i see it. Auburn has some good fans and the stadium itself is a great place to catch a football game. Very big stadium but from the look of it not a bad seat in the house. I definitely recommend catching a game here if you are passing thru and want to watch some good football. I wish i would have came thru on the week LSU was in town

Even though this park has been in existence since 1950, it feels relatively modern, with its upgrades and updates. They've even got a green monster inspired by the one at Fenway Park. As of this writing, tickets are $8 for non-conference games and $10 for SEC games. If you buy online, there is a surcharge of a few bucks. There's seating for 4,096 fans. We bought tickets day-of, so we had to sit way out in the outfield, but we were still practically right on the grass and could see the happenings at home plate well enough. That's the beauty of non-MLB games! There's also a general admission area with some lounge chairs. You can also find people watching the game from behind the outfield fence and from a nearby parking deck. Restrooms are located by the entrance. They could use a refresh but were fine. I liked how there was a cell phone charging station and water station too. It's fun to think of how famous ballplayers such as Bo Jackson, Frank Thomas, Tim Hudson, and Josh Donaldson have called Plainsman Park home. If you're a sports fan and in the Auburn area, taking in America's pastime at Plainsman Park is very highly suggested. Play ball!

Well, it's closed now for the season but keep this in mind for next year. This family-owned and family-friendly farm is a quick drive from town. Parking is easy and admission is $2 which isn't bad for what you get: access to several pumpkin patches, the corn maze, sunflower picking, farm animal viewing/petting, tractor rides, and amusements for kiddies including a game where you see who can pump water the fastest to float a rubber duckie down a slide. Yes, I had too much fun playing this duck race. I saw hot dogs and lemonade for sale, but nothing pumpkin-related such as pie. I think an opportunity is being missed! Local honey is available for purchase too which is cool. The pumpkins aren't cheap, but then again, you're paying for an experience. I recommend bringing your own shears if you have them since the patch might be all out. The big pumpkins are already detached from the vines but if you want a smaller one, you'll have to snip it yourself. Also, it sounds like Farmer in the Dell will be offering pre-cut Christmas trees during the holidays and will be having peaches next year, so it's not just squashes. Now I have that nursery rhyme in my head. Hi-ho, the derry-o, the farmer in the dell [pumpkin patch]!
