This was good for a hotel restaurant. It was decorated in an eclectic combination of Indonesian folk and ultra modern, but it worked. My wife and I stopped by to see what traditional Dutch items they had since the national cuisine of the Netherlands (in Amsterdam) appears to be "other" and not Dutch. We weren't very hungry so we made a meal of starters (appetizers). We both had lettuce soup (ok, now that is different!) and it was full of flavor and good. My wife had a very good, very fresh salad with strawberries and walnuts. I had charcuterie board with several sausage slices, a couple of bread slices, some rich brown mustard with mustard seeds in it, and a small bottle of pickled onions. I enjoyed it from start to finish. The waitress greeted us in English and spoke it like an American, so if that's your first language, it's safe to go there. lol Sorry I didn't try the entrees. And the prices were as expected for a hotel restaurant in a downtown major European city... that is "high" to a small town perspective but normal for the Big City. Downsides were very slow service (to be fair, there was one young lad serving the entire dining area) and a minimalist menu. In the end, we didn't have the Dutch items on the menus, but look at my review for The Pantry which is not far away. Try this one or The Pantry -- I think you'll like them both for different reasons. read more
