The young lady behind the bar who told her if she had been working there for the past 19 years had a great personality, knew how to pour a beer, and had a certain way about her, that made it clear that she was in the right job, and at the right place. If you stop in you also meet "McQueen" who is the bar cat. From what we understand because the buildings are old, a lot of the bars and other establishments have cats to manage any potential problem with mice. The bar is noisy and can get crowded very quickly because it is pretty small. If you are in Amsterdam and are looking for a place to sit down at the bar and have a few beers this is a good place. I don't think we were the only tourists in there, but I think the tourists were outnumbered by the locals. We enjoyed this place very much and I think you will too.

There are a few televisions that will have the local football games on to entertain the die hard fans. The bartender, whose name is pronounced like "router" but I dare not try to spell it out, was friendly enough and giving us advice on other places to hit up in the neighborhood. Not a bad spot if you don't mind smoking. After just getting over a flu, that wasn't me so we only stayed for two drinks and moved on.
