When I got to Rent Equip and talked with David, we realized the shell on my truck wouldn't allow it to work. David got on the forklift and removed the fountain and loaded it onto a small tilting trailer. I got to my Jobsite and was able to tilt the trailer to get it off. Job done!! Can't thank David and Francisco enough for taking the time to think through different ways to help solve my problem. I went to another top rated rental yard and they had little interest in helping me so I'm very happy I found Rent Equip.

After talking to a few pest companies, not only did they get the species of ants wrong (acrobat vs carpenter) which affects the bait being used, but they also can't get their story straight. I contacted them about an ant infestation inside my home. The technician who came out placed sugar bait inside to eliminate colony. He told me that an exterior treatment was not necessary at that time. I accepted that recommendation, due to potential exposure for my active dog. Months later, I called to follow up because the ant problem had not been resolved. I was then told the $216.50 treatment of simply adding sugar bait for the interior also included exterior treatment during the original visit. That was surprising because I was never told an exterior treatment had been done. When I asked where it had been applied, they did not give me a clear answer regarding the exterior. Paying for another treatment isn't the issue. If the ants require another visit, I'm happy to pay for it. My concern is that the explanation of what was actually done has changed. Now, they're saying I have to pay another $216 for their services again. Something just isn't adding up. If there's a reasonable explanation, I'd like to hear it. Based on the conflicting information, I have little confidence in their service.

If I have a specific problem between visits, like a wasp nest, they're quick to come out and take care of it. Most of what I need is included in the annual service. Mosquito treatment is an additional charge, but that's separate from the standard plan. I also appreciate that they don't push unnecessary interior treatments when there aren't any issues. Their pricing is competitive, and their payment and scheduling system is excellent. It's easy to manage appointments, and they're very responsive by text whenever I have a question or need service. I'm in the process of planting a new lawn and installing new landscape beds. I needed a tiller and a roller to prepare the soil. I spoke to people at Home Depot, Top Gunn Rental and Jon's Tool Rental about renting a tiller. My conversation with Jace at Jon's was the most helpful. I was originally interested in renting a medium tiller since it seemed easier to use given its smaller size, but Jace strongly recommended that I consider a larger 8hp rear-tine tiller instead. I'd rented a pickup to move the tiller and and about 1,200 lbs of compost I was buying, but Jon's gave me a deal on a small trailer so I wouldn't have to worry about lifting a heavy machine in and out of a pickup bed. The staff there also took me through detailed instructions on how to operate the tiller and even offered to let me have a test run there. Their suggestion to go with the larger tiller saved me a lot of time and effort! I'd used a small/medium tiller before and they require a lot of manual assistance. This 8hp model was a great machine that got the job done right. Need to rent something? Then skip the big-box chains and go to Jon's! This is a family-owned, local business run by friendly, knowledgeable people who have a great selection of rental equipment at very competitive prices. Outstanding customer service! read more

I feel that it is my duty to write this review as every time I need anything, I go to Jon's and they more than take care of me. In a day and age where it seems businesses are cutting corners on staff or other amenities, I can't believe I did not write this earlier to hopefully sway you to go here. A local business that will go out of their way to help, they have earned my business and at least a 5 star review. I have had multiple rentals and not once has there been an issue - not even one that need to be resolved. I guess that is what happens when you and your employees care about the business and more importantly your customers. read more

These guys have it down. Aside from the selection to choose from, and the prices being better than Sunbelt or Home Depot, the organization and the system that these guys use, works! That is the main thing that we noticed. Also, I had to switch out my trailer for a larger one, they did this with so much ease. They had the other trailer ready to go, the switch took 5 minutes, and that includes them airing up my tires. Then, I needed to keep the trailer another day, I made the phone call, and didn't have any problems. Great selection, Better Price and extremely organized. read more

I immediately said the price was $479.99 and their website shows that price and that was the price given when i called. He asked if was still on sale and I said I have no idea but that why a called to confirm inventory and price. He asked who I spoke to and I did not get a name but he would find out who i spoke to. He found the person I spoke to and he said they can't honor the price he gave me for 479.99 because there was a miscommunication? I asked what the miscommunication was when he said what the price was 479.99? He stated they can't sell it at that price and walked away. What piss poor customer service not to honor the price they have on webpage and after confirming that was the correct price. This is bait and switch and I can understand not always updating your website but that's why I called and asked for the price and inventory. Very disappointing after driving 30 min to support local Austin business and then 30 min to return home.

At other places we have had to wait almost 30 minutes for them to find a trailer - then a skid steer - then someone to load it -- etc etc ... At RENT EQUIP by the time we had gone in and done the paperwork (which took less than 5 minutes - the trailer was hooked up and we were on our way. They were also highly skilled and did a great job of getting everything welded up cleanly and straight. Eastside Fabrication's team had no problems dealing with the minor fitment issues we encountered. They were able to fabricate a few missing parts and made adjustments to their installation methods to ensure a very nice visual fitment. The welds were clean and the finished product was exactly what we were looking for. The crew showed up on time each day and worked around our schedule. They also completed the project within the requested timeline and did a great job of maintaining a safe and clean work area. I plan on utilizing Eastside Fabrication again in the future. We bought a 3/4" stainless-steel rod from Westbrook Metals (see separate review for them), and had Eastside Fabrication tap the end of it (with a 10mm metric thread) and bend it. We were on a tight time schedule since my friend had to leave town in 5 days, but Eastside did the job the next day. It turned out the rod wasn't sturdy enough, so we got a second piece of 3/4" rod and had Eastside weld the two alongside each other; he did that the same day, and it works perfectly and looks good. It's not often one needs services such as this, but if you do, this is the place to go. Very friendly, very accommodating, and top-notch work.

I had estimates from $200 to over 1K $$$ when I sent out a list of items I anticipated needed to be removed. One of the many things I liked about Pick Up Haulers is that they do their best to sort everything that they pick up and try to recycle it at the appropriate places instead of just taking it all to the landfill. They ended up spending more than a couple of hours lifting and carrying stuff out to their flatbed trailer /they also disassembled a trundle bed and were able to take it in the mattress to the truck . They determine their price based on the amount of space (? Cubic feet )We ended up using about 3/4 of their space on their large flatbed trailer and the fee was just a little over $300. I felt that was very fair for the services provided. Texas in May isn't usually quite as hot & humid as the Friday we moved. I enjoyed Chris and the young man that was his employee. They were very respectful and understood our situation. I would definitely use them again and plan to whenever we decide to move!! One thing I will say is that after this experience I definitely feel that less. (much less.!!) is more! LOL

The quote was good and Terry was able to squeeze me in that day as I was between him and the next location and only had a few items. Note that I was very precise on what I wanted hauled off. Terry gave me and estimated time of arrival then called me when he was a few minutes out. When Terry showed up he was fast and efficient the best part is that the quote did not change, what I told him was going out was what was going out so there were no surprises on either side. Terry is a man of his word, I will call him for any future services I need.
