For comparison, I had called a 'depot' hardware rental store and was quoted $67 for a 1/2 day, $176 for the blade, and no fuel provided. Counter person was not only knowledgeable but friendly. I rented a skid loader to take care of some vegetation on my property from here. From the first call to the last these guys were completely stand up and honest gentleman. They took all my calls, answered all my questions and had the equipment ready to go when I arrived. The real difference maker for me was what happened when I brought the machine back. I goofed up pretty bad and put diesel fuel into the hydraulic reservoir. I was sh*tin bricks about how much this would cost me. Most other companies would have seen this as an opportunity to cash in. I called just before closing on Saturday and they had no problem with me coming in right at closing. I needed a rotary hammer to remove a small amount of tile. Checkout was fast and the tool and extension cord were already being placed in my truck before I was out the door. I returned the tool early Monday morning during a busy time. Before I was half way to the door, a guy jogged over to me, grabbed the tool/cord, and asked me if it helped remove the tile as needed. As I walked to the counter, a guy was holding out my return receipt and also asked how things went with my tile removal project. It was Monday morning, and yet everyone was happy, energetic and smiling. This experience was not a fluke. I've rented tools from them a few times and had the exact same experience. I went to Jons Rental for tools that I needed for my Eagle Scout Project. When I first went in, they asked me what I am going to be asking for and what the use would be. I said a 22lb. chipping hammer and they will be used to break up some limestone for holes that will be 2 feet deep. They said that would take days and they pointed me in the direction of a 65lb. chipping hammer. The guy there said this will do the trick......and it did with ease. I rented a car hauler trailer from these guys and they made it so easy and fast. They are some of the cheapest rates around and then had the trailer on the back of my truck ready to go in no time. When I returned the trailer I didn't have to worry about parking it, just pulled in and they unhooked it and I drove off. Other places never allowed me to do this.
