Best taqueria in the greater Charleston area. As a vegetarian, I dream about the mushroom burrito with the side of elote. read more

This was my second time there and each time the girl at the register had an attitude. First time we came the birria was dry and tough. Second time the same result. Have to pay extra for limes just to get 1 more. Would not recommend AT ALL! read more

It's just okay for me. Came here for lunch one day after spending a terrible 2 hours at the near by DMV. I got 4 steak tacos with onions and cheese. My husband got the birra tacos. I thought the meat was kind of crunchy, and didn't have as good of flavor as the place in GC that we like going to. I was starving and just thought the flavor was just alright. Meat was kind of tough, they also slightly got the order on. My husband got the birra tacos, he said it was kind of spicy. Otherwise inside is very clean and they have an A health grading. Nice clean tables and the decor is cute. I just have had better tacos, maybe it was a one-off. read more

Everything was amazingly delicious! Can't wait to return. The Birria Ramen was delicious. The wings were fresh hot crispy with the sauce was just a great combination. My friend and I ordered the hangover pack, which included the Birria ramen, Birria, eggrolls, Birria tacos, loaded carne Asada, fries, and the garlic Parmesan wings. What a great place to enjoy great food. The service was awesome. Food was out in no time not a long. Wait, the restaurant was clean. It had a nice vibe. I would definitely recommend. read more

So good. The restaurant itself is kinda of a hole in the wall, but charming. It's not in the best location. But...it's worth it for the food. read more

Didn't really know what I wanted to eat, saw this place next to Piggly Wiggly on 78. Figured I would give it a try. Wow! So glad I did! I got the Texas bowl with shrimp and it is awesome! Big grilled onions, mushrooms and lots of shrimp. Melted cheese, great flavors Everything is top notch. I m not really into Mexican food, but this place may change my mind! Great food and great service. Will definitely be back. read more

Food was Okay . Street Corn was Meh . I would go again because they had some things that were good and others just decent . One of those good things was the birria tacos and birria ramen . service was okay as well nothing to serious . Just felt like they were trying to hurry up and sit back down . Restaurants pretty plain nothing to decorative or eye catching at all . Ambiance is 3/5 for me read more

Average overall. Tacos taste like a typical Mexican restaurant. Ordered the shrimp taco and fish taco, they were was decent. The birria egg rolls were OK. I've had better consome. Seemed to be more fat at the top than flavor in the broth. The quesadilla was pretty good. I'd get that again. Mexican street corn was maybe the worst I've had, not much flavor. May have been missing that grilled flavor, because it appeared to be just a boiled ear of corn with mayo, cojita, and paprika. Fries had way too much seasoning, salt on it them. They also serve burgers and chicken wings. Service was pleasant! Nice, calm atmosphere. Great music. Loved the plethora of cactus plants! Prices weren't terribly high. Will try again soon. read more

Birria taco and birria eggroll sampler, carne asada bowl, and a steak burrito with elote. Everything was delicious! A little disappointed that they accidentally put a birria egg-roll instead of the jalapeño popper egg-roll that was supposed to accompany my steak bowl but hey, it's still a super tasty eggroll. read more

Great food, would definitely recommend, like the different types of burgers they offer.

Poseidon's NEW Restaurant, Jonny's Red Tacos. We were super excited to try since we Love Poseidon's so this was a no brainer. The location is very easy to find and there is plenty of parking. It just feels fun in here. The staff was nice and helpful with an infectious soundtrack playing on the speakers that kept our spirits up while we ate. We ordered the usual Birria and we tried the Cali burrito. The Cali burrito is definitely my new favorite. Filled with chicken, steak and shrimp, every bite was delicious. The broth for the birra is so flavorful, it's impossible not to drink. There are plenty of seating options so grab a friend and head over. This place is a 10/10! Ladson, SC next door to Nigels in the shopping center We got Chicken Birria *my go-to Regular Birria Cali Burrito Cheese quesadilla Street corn Consommé- good flavor Everything we had was great read more

Don't blink you might miss it! Nestled in right next door to Nigel's Good Food in Ladson sits Jonny's Red Tacos. This humble eatery is cranking out some bombastic Mexican food that will leave you coming back for more. I am a big fan of birria and after looking over their menu on the Toast web page, they don't have a website, I knew I had to give them a try. To start my wife and I ordered the small loaded fries that were anything but. They were piled high with the carne asada we ordered as our meat topping. The asada was nice and tender and went well with the Pico de Gallo, crema and queso fresca. If you top that with either their red or green sauces, made in house, you have a tasty starter. My wife ordered the triple threat quesadilla which came with steak, chicken and chorizo and of course a generous amount of cheese. The tortilla was done like a birria taco which really added to the flavor. She absolutely loved it and said it was one of the best and that she could not wait to have it again. Now you know I had to order the Birria Deluxe which came with two birria tacos, a small birria quesadilla, a small birria burrito and a cob of their street corn. The birria meat was so tender it just melts in your mouth and the consume was nice and spicy and tangy, the perfect dipping sauce. The portions are super generous, and the supposed small burrito was not that small. The street corn however blew me away. Sweet, cheesy, buttery with notes of lime and spice in every bite. I would go here just for the corn! As a side my wife got the birria eggroll which was crispy and stuffed full of birria. Top that off with the most impressive selection of Jarritos sodas I have ever seen this place is a winner. We can't complain about a single thing here as it all was delicious! Put this on your list! read more

So I got chicken tenders it was supposed to come with slaw, toast, ranch, and "burger sauce". I asked for no slaw. I got no slaw no toast no ranch. The chicken looked good and looked seasoned but it wasn't I've had better chicken tenders at McDonald's. The cashier looked absolutely miserable. She looked like she didn't want to be there at all and didn't care who knew it. We went at 1pm. At the time no one was there but us and they were out of queso and almost everything we wanted to try. There was food from who knows what on our table, trash by the drink machine. Over all I wouldn't recommend personally. My husband got Burria tacos and he said they were decent. But not worth what we paid for. read more

This place was really hyped so my expectations were high. The woman behind the counter was really nice and friendly. I ordered the Cali burrito and fries. The food took about 10+ minutes to make. Kinda slow. The burrito was tasty but really small. The fries were sooo cold that they might as well have been out of the fridge. It really annoys when fries are cold. They can only be served one way. HOT!!! My overall impression was Meh. I can get a better burrito for $15 bucks... read more

I loved the Jonny's born with chicken. The flavors were so fresh and flavorful. I went back and got three steak tacos and those weren't as good as the bowl. As a California native, I've seriously struggled to find good Mexican food since moving to South Carolina--but this place completely changed the game for us! Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious: birria, tacos, quesadilla, street corn, and even the fries for my son were all spot on.
