This was my first time trying any Jones Soda products, my brother gifted me a few bottles of the Sunset Sarsaparilla so I popped the top using the bottle cap shaped opener he also gave me and chilled it down for a few hours before tasting it. I thought it had a crème soda feel to it and the flavors really popped, I'm a root beer fan so this sarsaparilla flavored drink was something I really enjoyed and would definitely try a few of the other flavors created by Jones Soda Company. I haven't seen this brand on the shelves where I shop but I will definitely look for them going forward, it's definitely worth trying if you haven't yet... read more

Cool company!! Been a fan of Jones Soda Company for a long time! All their sodas are made from pure cane sugar. They come out with unique limited edition flavors a few times a year. I hate it when they retire a flavor that I like, but other than that no complaints. As long as they keep the Fufu Berry and Cream soda flavors, I will be just fine. Another awesome thing they have are their labels and bottle caps. You can send your photos to the company. If they like them, then they will put them on their bottle labels! On our way back to pikes place Market I noticed a non discipt building that simply said Jones Soda Co. Thinking it might have been a retail store top I popped in to get some beverages only to find out that I had just entered their corporate Headquarters! It was the end of the work day but the I was able to grab a couple of sugar free sodas (black cherry and vanilla bean) for the road... For only 50 cents! Cool for free soda Fridays at 3pm!!! Yeaaahhh!!! One of my ex's used to buy me Jones soda all the time and when I saw the signage this brought back pleasant memories of those days. We entered the building to find out it's the corp office. The nice receptionist offered us free sodas. We were able to choose any flavor available in the fridge. I ended up with the Strawberry Soda. On a walk to Lake Union, my husband and I saw the Jones building and did some research on Yelp. We could not wait till the following week for Free Drink Friday! Every Friday, 3-5pm you can stop by and take your pick at a free soda. Second drink is 50 cents! There were quite a few flavors, and also a few sugar-free options (top row.) The people there are super nice and friendly! They don't actually make the soda here, it's the design team, but you can see every flavor they've ever come up with in a massive case right as you walk in. Probably some of the best soda around! My favorite flavor has got to go to the Cream Soda for sure! I have tried some of their other flavors but I always gotta go back to the Cream Soda! Yum! Pop for poseurs. Soda from corporate chemical kitchens devoid of any redeeming value, but with flashy colors and no real taste. Jones soda has to be the largest hype of any artificially flavored product in the last 10 years. Jones flavors are concocted by a company named Pro-Liquitech. (Check out their web page they're proud of their Jones work.) A fine group of chemists if there ever were in white lab coats, but is this who you want designing your lab rat beverage? Many of their products have not one but two preservatives as well as artificial colors and flavors. (eg: carbonated water, high fructose corn syrup, natural and artificial flavors, citric acid, sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate (as preservatives), modified food starch, ester gum, blue 1 ) This is the stuff of 1970s nightmares. Coke and Pepsi have no preservatives in their flagship products so why does this stuff have so many? I'd give Jones Sodas a -1 star if I could figure out a way to do it. If you're into an iced cold soda then there's so many other better choices. read more

JONES SODA, how you have wronged me! My coworker decided that it would be great to do a taste test today of your special holiday brews during a team meeting. Thanksgiving dinner was just plain NASTY! Turkey soda is just not a good idea, and what was worse was that it was unbearably sweet. Even prepared with candy and water to cleanse my palette I was still unprepared for the wraith of this evil box of holiday sodas. We went on to have split pea soda, which was gag-a-licious. And dinner roll... which tasted like what would happen if I just stuck my head under the butter flavored oil at the movie theater and mixed that with sugar. Halfway through our testing I noticed that each time we would take less and less soda, because we were much wiser from this experience of nastiness. Sweet potato was one of the worst. It smelled like sweet potato, but tasted like some ... I can't even describe it. This was the worst for me. Finally there was antacid. Which was the best of all the sodas. It tasted like bubble gum to me. Just so you know, it's a sad sad day when I say antacid flavor was the best soda I've had all day. Ok? After we went back to work I didn't feel like eating... for the rest of the day. My body was telling me that I had punished it enough, and had a mini-nauseating feeling to accompany that. But nevertheless I hold strong to the belief that this wrongness will be a one time occasion... because I really love your cream soda and your ingenious label contests that set you apart from other designer sodas. Don't let me down again, I won't forgive you. Four stars only for cream soda and marketing gimmicks. Destroy the holiday sodas! read more

The little soda company that could! I'm so impressed with the marketing and branding. It's pretty sweet (pure cane sugar high), so I couldn't drink it all the time. But when I do, I like it. The personalized label option and holiday gift packs are very cool. They don't need to take over the big soda companies (who had a little bit of a head start). Jones Soda just take enough business from both of those icon cols companies to be wildly successful. Gotta give them five stars for their custom bottles. My youngest son has been best friends with a group of boys since elementary school. I have seen these kids grow up and felt like some odd surrogate Mom in the feeding, trip taking, car-pooling, cleaning up after way. I was even had one of his pals as my student when I taught 7th grade! I am very fond of all my son's friends as well as my former students. So when my youngest graduated high school, I thought I'd get a picture of the pals and have it plastered on a Jones soda bottle. You upload the picture on their website and you can even have something written on it for ~ $30. for a 12 pack. You choose the flavor. I got the idea from seeing the bottles at the last Seattle Seahawk playoff game with fans pictures on them. I have to say, the picture on the bottle with my son and his friends leaping into the pool about six years ago came out pretty good. My experience with Jones Soda was so outstanding that I made an account here just to praise them. I ordered a case of drinks with customized labels on them a few weeks ago so they would arrive before my strict deadline of August 3rd. When I saw that they were damaged during shipping, I began to worry about whether or not they could make it on time. I called Jones Soda directly to explain the situation. Not only did the representative charge me nothing for the new shipment, she arranged priority for the labels and said she would supervise the package to make sure that they would arrive by August 2nd. If anything went wrong, she would call me back and work on a reimbursement strategy, Lo and behold, nothing went wrong and I received my drinks right on time. To add a little icing on this cake, the sodas were delicious and a huge hit at my party. Can't recommend them highly enough! read more

Ok so in general I love JONES soda! I wish them all the best in general and I wish they were more mainstream and a little cheaper. But, this review is for this location near the stadiums....I knew they relocated from Belltown but, I did not know they actually sold drinks from this location and I really did not know about free soda Friday.. So this is the part where I think I should not leave a review and keep this secret to myself as much as possible but for the good of ethics and Yelp I will speak. So I was going for a walk the other day and saw they had a sign to come in and try a free soda from 3-5 on Fridays and I was like um YEAH!! So I walk in and assume they will just hand me a random bottle which the receptionist did of the Tofurky and gravy soda. Which was cool and she said go grab a drink from the cooler too.. (WTF YEAH!) Like looking into the light of heaven I saw the cooler glowing with every flavor and could not decide. I grabbed a whoop ass and then noticed that even on a regular day the drinks are only .50 cents or $1 for energy drinks! I wanted to buy a case of everything! I can't wait to utilize this new knowledge to stock my fridge and grab drinks before games. I seriously ran out the door like I received the golden ticket to the chocolate factory with my drinks and I wanted to stop everyone in the streets to tell them of my discovery..So yes check it out and I will be back to buy everything in that fridge please don't raise the prices! read more

Clearly I'm a sucker for hype and advertising. What other reason would there be for two years of searching for the Jones Soda holiday pack? I kept hearing about it but could never find it in the stores. These guys sure must have great PR people because whenever these have come out it has been all over the press. I cannot count the number of places I looked for this stuff. This past fall I finally went into a QFC and found a stack of the holiday "gift" pack. I bought two for safe measure. They were sixteen bucks each. For soda that is supposed to taste like Thanksgiving dinner. Yeah, maybe in the worst nursing home in the worst corner of someone's nightmare. The fact that I willingly paid so much for these things suggests that I've got serious problems perhaps requiring immediate medication. I guess I inferred that the rarity of this shit meant that it was in high demand and was good. The truth is they probably don't release too much of it because they know it is at best a gimmick and at worst absolute swill. Honestly, I could drink a bunch of ingredients and piss out a better soda than any of these. How stupid of me to think they would be some kind of interesting, savory soda. Instead they were repulsive in every way. Thank god for the kind QFC manager who took mercy on me and let me return the still shrink-wrapped second gift pack. The first one got poured down my kitchen drain in perhaps one of the worst acts of cruelty recently perpetrated upon the salmon and other wildlife of the greater metropolitan Seattle watershed. I'm not really game to sample any of Jones' other products. I've seen them in the stores looking sugary and artificially colored. Maybe some of them are tasty. Now I don't wanna try them because I feel like Jones' Soda has shot its wad with the gift pack. The only good thing I can say is that it would be an excellent revenge gift for a despised family member or ex-boyfriend. read more

I'm not a big soda drinker. I enjoy bubbly options with my meal but usually get bored after 6-7 ounces. This isn't the case with Jones soda especially their strawberry lime flavour. Whew! I could easily have a couple of bottles of that stuff and still kinda want more. I also like their blueberry lemonade. I have a love hate relationship with Jones. I am more likely dating myself by the following when I remembered when it fist hit the market and their unique flavors. A small portion of their original line is still in production, however, the outside of the box creations need to make a comeback like Fun, Happy, Melon etc. Ever since they got bought out by a large corporation, a lot of that cool indie flare disappeared even though they're still my beverage of choice.
