Jerry is a total nut job. I was sent to drop off a work van that he worked on the day before and did not repair properly. He came out screaming about me parking in front of his door. He then proceeded to go on a total melt down that ended in him telling me to f myself. I drove away and refused to leave the vehicle there. Don't go here you have been warned read more

I went in there today to get a quote on a repair. The guy at the desk got REAL hostile when I was asking about my car's problem. The first thing he said was 'YOU HAVE TO SPEAK UP. I AM WEARING A HEARING AID !'. Why would I need to speak up, if he was wearing a hearing aid? When my wife asked if there was someone in the garage who spoke Spanish, his comment was 'THIS IS AMURICA, IF YOU LIVE HERE EVERYONE SPEAKS ENGLISH!!' This guy was so rude, that I would never try to do business with him again. I only I could give this business negative stars. read more

Unfortunately my car is having issues. This repair shop is literally in walking distance from my house, so of course it seemed like a perfect place to take my car. We usually see tons of different cars on the lifts daily, so they must churn them out pretty quickly, which could mean 1. They really know their shit Or 2. They "fix" what you need but only enough to have you keep coming back. I'll stick with the second assumption. We were quoted one price when we dropped it off, then charged another one upon picking it up and they did absolutely nothing to the car. That was just for a diagnosis. I told my fiancé that I did not want to go there again, regardless of "reputation" because while I'm fairly new to the area, I'm no fool. Especially with my money. Customer service really goes a long way with me. The owner is a jackass. We simply walked over there because the car basically pissed out all of its remaining fuel and died in front of my house. Again, they are a convenient choice especially now that the car has to be towed. The owner was finishing up with a fairly attractive blonde, eying her over with his dirty old man self, as my fiancé and I waited to speak with him. When he finally turned his attention toward us, my fiancé put his hand out to shake it and this old bastard literally looked at his hand and refused, and then had the audacity to ask my fiancé what the problem was. Fuck that guy, and our money will be going somewhere else. I'd rather pay more for a better experience. Fin. read more

Were do i start i took my truck 2007 silverado with a 4.8 engine to jones racing in April of 2021 because it was making a weird noise on the top of the motor. just a noise no smoke from tail pipe no power loss but a terrible noise. he told me my cam was worn and needed replaced.so i agreed to the service ,he had the truck two weeks.i paid him approximately 2400$ over the phone then picked the truck after hours and drove home .well not more than 30 miles later it started smoking really bad so i had the truck towed back to him .he had it for another week. He said he had the vacum lines on wrong and it was sucking oil.so i picked it up a week later and once again it started smoking with in 25 miles.so i had it towed back again to his shop.Unfortunately he called and said must be the valve seals.i mean he took the heads off and replaced the head gasket and had the heads shaved down and cleaned no good mechanic would send heads off to get them clean and not rebuild them with new seals etc. so i gave him another 250$ to replace the valve stem seals.he had the truck for two more weeks .i went again after hours because i work until 5:30 pm.well this time i only made it 9 miles up the road and smoke was pouring from my tail pipe.so i had it towed back to his shop Again .so now jerry is telling me your motor has alot of miles on it and thats your problem.well jerry the truck still smoking and i have given up on jones racing! So folks that has been my experience at jones racing.he should probably just stick to oil changes and fixing lawn mowers.now i will go in search of a real mechanic. not sure if i want to take him to court or not .and yes he is rude . i tried to give him a chance due to his long standing in the area. but i am the FOOL! read more

Jerry made sure my wife's car was taken care of and safe for travels with our infant after discovering a couple bad parts causing a noise in the engine. He also did a great job replacing the ac compressor which was on its way out and could have locked up causing a breakdown. Always nice, honest and helpful and explains everything he does. Will continue to go to his shop for years to come. Thank you Jerry. Mike and Catalina read more

This place is not somewhere you want to go get your car fixed. The owner is extremely rude and does not know what he is doing

I need to do the clutch in my truck but didn't want to do it myself again, I'd driven past Jones racing for near 15 years and they always cool stuff out front so I figured I'd give them a shot. The owner was extremely rude and uninterested in doing business with me so I took my business elsewhere and found a vastly superior mechanic across the road a couple blocks. read more

Jerry has been fixing my cars for years. He is honest as the day is long. A little hard of hearing sometimes, and it gives the appearance that he is yelling. Just talk a little louder. Would not take any vehicle of mine anywhere else. read more

Horrible customer service. I would not even go near that place, ever!!! Do not waste your time!!! That man Jerry should get fired, and if he is the owner then he should close the store and take some customer service classes !!! How can you tell a female customer to get out when all she is doing is asking a question about her car. Even his employees/colleagues complain about his bad attitude. read more

Bad work and high prices with an owner that is out of control usually on alcohol. Stay away

Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place - the owner Jerry is the biggest nightmare I've ever dealt with in any business transaction ever. He had my car for 9 weeks and never even started on the engine/tranny I brought him to install. When I went to pick it up, he poked me and friend in chest and did everything he could to instigate a fight. Turns out he ordered the wrong oil pan and wiring harness as well. If you search the net for reviews about this guy, you can see for yourself why you should avoid this place at all costs! read more

I went there with a friend to be the driver back after dropping off the car. The guy Jerry spewed something rude and it caught me off guard that a business owner would talk to a customer like that. I would have told him to suck it and taken the car somewhere else. So it is true all the comments left by others over the years. All I have to say is WOW. read more

The owner of this company has no integrity! We had a missing child we were searching for and was waiting for police assistance. Dispatch asked us to pull over and wait. We parked on right of way of Jones racing property and started to search for child. The owner came out screaming to get our truck off his f-ing property never inquiring what was going on. Continued to threaten and be verbally abusive. Owner has a terrible reputation and is not a nice person! I do not recommend any sort of interaction with a person that lacks humanity! read more

My parents purchased a SUV from Jones Racing, Clermont, FL and this story they relayed to me... Jerry Jones, owner of Jones Racing Clermont, FL, who advertises as one of the best auto mechanics in Central FL. Mis-represented the mechanical condition of this vehicle from the start. He told us that he "had $3000.00 tied up in engine repair and this included all new valves in engine." He led us to believe the engine was sound. Hubby did not make it home (less than 10 mi. away) before the check engine light came on. Too late in the day to address this, so we parked it in our driveway. The very next day hubby started the engine and there was an overwhelming gasoline smell. He immediately drove the vehicle straight to the Ford dealership. We had to pay $89.95 to have the engine checked. Ford found it to be a leaking fuel injector that was spraying gasoline onto the fire wall and leaking down onto the exhaust system, making the vehicle a potential fire bomb. Ford dealer advised we have the vehicle towed (destination: back to Jones Racing) because it was unsafe to drive. Mister Jones said he would replace the injector. Three hours later Mr. Jones called and said the vehicle was ready. We picked up the vehicle and, again, hubby did not make it home before the check engine light came on. At this point (not trusting to return to Jones Racing) we returned to Ford to have the engine re-diagnosed. They informed us that someone had broken the PCV valve and also that the EGR valve was bad. Both of these valves control the vehicles emissions...the fumes that come out of your tailpipe. When Ford informed us of their results, hubby called Mr.Jones and relayed information to him. At this point we felt taken advantage of but more importantly, that me and my husband were put into extremely unsafe conditions by driving the vehicle off of Jones Racing premises to begin with. We told Mr. Jones we wanted to return the vehicle and be reimbursed the cash purchase price. He responded to my hubby "Yeah, well the people in hell want ice water" and slammed the phone down. We now have to pay the Ford dealer $350.00, just to make this vehicle safe to drive. Do not do business with Jones Racing, Clermont, FL. Yes I have filed with better business bureau. read more
