While I played in my 20s while visiting my parents, I never before had official lessons, and it's fair to say that I was still a 'newbie' to the sport. After roughly 20 lessons across the two instructors, endless hours on the golf range and a par 3 course (thanks to some very patient individuals who were willing to put up with my play 1 - 2x/week), I never got better. My ball striking was inconsistent (as in, I couldn't connect all the time) and while my love for the game never waned, I did become increasingly frustrated. Elbow surgery forced me to take some time off and I decided that I needed to basically re-start from scratch. After researching golf instructors in South Florida, I came across Jess. I read the reviews, watched his videos and made the conscious decision to NOT swing a club until I had my first lesson with Jess. Well, that first lesson was today and I was absolutely floored. While other instructors focused on my grip and just watched me hack away hour after hour, Jess gave me actual tools that I can use to better my game. We worked on 3 specific drills that I can now focus on. Basic drills, but this was the first time I actually understood what was inhibiting me from having a consistent ability to connect with the ball. Somehow, these fundamentals were never discussed with me prior, even though I was taking lessons from PGA certified instructors. I do believe everyone learns differently. For me, having a knowledge in the fundamentals (e.g., weight on front leg, shoulder down, wrists straight) for the first time leaves me with the feeling that I can do this. Thanks, Jess! We booked our reservation online and the process was pretty easy. Total cost was $136 for 5 people playing for 2 hours. It felt like it was a bit high, but bowling or a movie for 5 can be like $100 and it's not like there are other Topgolf knockoffs to choose from. Anyway, we arrived a bit early but they took us right in. There were a variety of different games you could play where you could get points even if you didn't get the best shot. So the kids were able to complete pretty well with us adults and even win a few rounds! They had a food and drinks available but we had eaten prior to arriving and didn't get anything. The offerings were chicken tenders, pizza, burgers and the like. Prices seemed reasonable. Overall we had a really good time and would likely go back at some point. Five stars from me.

The food we ordered tasted good and came out quickly, and we had a great time playing golf at the bays. Unfortunately, the customer service significantly impacted our overall experience. From the moment we sat down, our server, Arianna, did not make us feel welcomed. She immediately commented that it had been a busy day and that she had many bays to tend to. While we completely understand that it can be busy, that should not come at the expense of providing basic customer service. Arianna did not offer any assistance with setting up the bay technology, make any food recommendations, answer our questions, or make any effort to ensure we were having an enjoyable experience. Throughout our time there, she appeared aggravated, annoyed, and irritated. She also did not check on us during our visit. The only time she returned to our table was when it was time to close out the bill, and at that point, she seemed to be rushing us. There was also a discrepancy on our bill, which we brought to Arianna's attention. Rather than addressing the concern, she rolled her eyes and walked away. Her supervisor, Deb, then came over, and we explained both the billing issue and our concerns regarding the lack of customer service. Unfortunately, Deb was dismissive and essentially responded that they were busy. We explained that we understood they were busy, but being busy does not excuse a lack of communication, attentiveness, or courtesy toward customers. We were not expecting anything unreasonable--just basic customer service and a welcoming experience. When we again pointed out the discrepancy on the bill, Deb told us there was nothing she could do. However, that turned out not to be accurate. Chris came over, listened to our concern, and was able to make the necessary adjustment so the bill correctly reflected what we had ordered. Chris was extremely helpful and made an effort to resolve the issue. Overall, we did not have the experience we expected at Topgolf. The food was good and we enjoyed playing in the bays, but the lack of customer service from Arianna and the dismissive response from Deb took away from what should have been an enjoyable group outing. Unfortunately, Deb did not make any effort to turn the experience around. We do want to acknowledge Chris, who was professional, helpful, and took the time to actually listen to our concern and resolve the billing issue. His assistance was greatly appreciated.

Our group of five had an incredible time-- I returned for a private lesson with another member of our group after the program ended. Michele is exceptionally patient, knowledgeable, and encouraging. The only viable entrance is on the Westside and every other door is labeled "Do Not Use" or "Use Other Door" with an arrow towards the back of the store. Finally enter and love the full golf vibe with the massive amount of gold club heads and the digital golf club hitting area. All the big brand golf companies on display including Ping, Titleist, TaylorMade, Srixon, Wilson, XXI0 and Cleveland Golf. I decided to take a lesson to have someone analyze my swing and help fix my slice. After watching…read moreme swing just twice, Chris immediately identified the issue and gave me some minor adjustments to work on. We did some drills, and before long, I was hitting straight shots consistently. With time left in the lesson, we were also able to work on my long irons and chipping.
