I wish that I could add 5 more stars! I sold my house in Rosehill and stored my goods over at Iron Guard on 2920. Have used Jonah three times. Two moves into Iron Guard and then they loaded up three pods for my 1,100 mile move. I packed my own boxes...you can buy them online from Uline. Another great vendor. I also purchased 6 dozen moving pads on EBay. Jonah used my moving pads and they shrink wrapped all of my leather/wood goods. That said, my Pods are here and everything is GREAT! Overall I think Jonah and his co-worker did a great job with my move. Nothing was damaged and the whole arrangement was done under 2 hours. Granted I did not have a lot of items to move, they did not take their time. Their demeanor was professional the whole time. I didn't have any doubts before and after about their service. Conversation and paperwork all went smoothly. Their rates are very competitive. The only other person who gave me a better rate was on craigslist, which I didn't feel like taking the risk with. If you're reading this Craigslist people, don't answer the phone, "Movers". Makes people feel you're a little sketchy. I am giving 5 stars for good move and no problems. read more

These guys were great and I would highly recommend! They treated everything with extreme care and listened to the instructions well of where I wanted everything placed. Also, they were quick, which is especially good when you are paying by the hour. However, you could also tell they were rushing to get to the next job. I hate to be the first person not to give 5 stars but the reason for only 4 stars is because of the following issues: 1. They left trash (water bottles and plastic wrap) in my old place that I had to pick up later. 2. I was told in the quote that there would be 4 (or maybe 3) wardrobe boxes available, but the truck only had one. However they did offer to help me move the hanging clothes by laying them down in the backseat of my vehicle. 3. Some of the items that were re-assembled in the new house were not completed 100%. I found pieces for my bed frame in another room that required disassembly to fix and the same thing for my entertainment center. read more

These guys did an outstanding job with my move of about 75 miles away. When I called for a quote, Jonah called me back quickly & was straight forward with the rate, which was a great. The price was good & they even had an opening on the Saturday I needed them with just a 6 day notice! Jonah didn't hound me or nag on me like some of the annoying "salesmen" type employees did at some of the other moving companies. He was very straightforward & quick to the point, which was good when I had many other things to handle the last week before moving & didn't have time to be hounded by unnecessary phone calls, etc. They showed up on time & they have a huge, very nice truck & dollies & everything needed to safely move your stuff with no damage. They worked hard and quickly. They were also willing to do the long distance move of about an hour & 1/2 drive, unlike many of the moving companies in and around Houston. They wrapped up most all of my furniture and nothing was damaged at all. Overall, I'm very pleased with Jonah & the other gentlemen who made this move for me & I would highly recommend them! Had a great experience with them, moving from Houston to Austin. Jesus and his crew did a great job. They were friendly and very accommodating. Even thought we had one piece broken I still give them a 5, because of they way they handled the situation, they didn't try to blame it on something else, they immediately notified their home office which we got a call from Jonah to offer a solution. Clayton and his crew were awesome to work with, and very accommodating when I was informed by my wife that the bed that was moved was not supposed to be (my fault in that one). I used Jonahs to relocate from Jersey Village to The Woodlands. I've probably used a dozen moving companies in the past, but none of them made me a truly satisfied customer. I can say with Jonah's I was happy on all levels. They showed up on time, were uber polite and these guys worked! No down time no slacking- just steady packing and loading. They put everything where I asked and they didn't break or crack anything. I can't say all my past moves went so well. I used them of off a referral so I thought it only right I post a review with my thoughts. The last thing I got from them was a Jonah's coffee mug. It sounds trivial but it impressed me even more. A small but thoughtful token to indicate I was a bit more than just a customer. Jonah's movers did a great job and were very accommodating to our need to start at our storage unit instead of splitting the crew (even though splitting the crew would have been faster). You know how when you usually hire movers, there's like one guy in charge, one cranky guy, and one meh guy and then they show up super duper late and take a two hour lunch? Nope, not these guys! Everyone was on time (15 mins early), worked at an excellent pace, took a reasonable lunch break and were generally pleasant. They showed up on time and got right to work. These 3 men, Matt, Jesus, and Jamie were amazing. They were extremely friendly and very careful with our belongings. I selected Jonah's Movers based on all of the positive reviews on Yelp in addition to speaking with Jonah (yes he's a real person) when we were getting quotes. He informed me right up front that they would probably not be the cheapest, but explained the reasons why. The thing that impressed me the most about his business model is that they really take care of their employees (good pay, insurance, benefits, etc.) and as a result they have almost no turnover. Yes, they were slightly higher than my second choice, but it was not enough to change my mind. We had a big move - 2 three-man crews and 2 trucks. The move took over 12 hours. Jose and his crew were nothing short of amazing. Each member was courteous, professional, and worked HARD. They treated our belongings with extreme care - I haven't come across a single item that was damaged or broken. As one of the guys on the crew told me, "We move everything from Tiffany to Walmart". They showed up exactly when they said they would show up, checked in with me often, used an app to track their hours, and were just generally pleasant. I've moved quite a few times and at least in my opinion, this is not the norm for moving companies. One small example - one of the movers, and I'm sorry I can't remember his name, walked up to me at one point and handed me an iPhone of mine that I had not seen in months and said "excuse me sir, I found this under your desk". Not sure how many other movers would have done the same. Moving is one of the most stressful things you can do. Do yourself a favor and give Jonah's movers a shot. I hardly ever write reviews, and I really should be unpacking right now, but couldn't pass up the opportunity to give credit where credit is due. If I had my own moving company, this is the way I would want to run it, and I would definitely try to hire someone like Jose and the rest of the guys on that crew. read more

I contacted Jonah last November for a quote to move everything out of our 3 bedroom house and he was very prompt in getting back to me. We set up a time for him to view our house and to give us an estimate on the cost of the move. Jonah provided us with a very reasonable quote and not once did he blow up my inbox with email blasts or pressures to hire him as our mover. We ended up walking away from the house that we were intending to move into and again, Jonah kept a polite distance. Fast forward to February 2016, we found the property we wanted and I reached out to Jonah once our offer was accepted. He provided the same quote from last November even though the travel distance had nearly tripled. He also remained flexible when the builder allowed us to move our closing date forward. On moving day, they guys were prompt, courteous, respectful and very careful with our possessions. They put protection down on the floors, utilized ramps for the front door and were mindful of the walls when moving large objects into the new house. We provided lunch for the 3 guys moving us and they were very polite, thankful and didn't leave a mess behind. We have been so impressed with Jonah's Movers and so thankful for how hardworking they were...even when the move ended up being nearly 12 hours long, they never once complained. Our new house wasn't ready when we had to move out of our old house. Jonah's movers packed up the entire 5300 sq ft house and moved everything into storage units. They weren't able to fit everything into the 1 unit we had rented and the storage place was closed so they allowed everything to sit on the truck until we were able to get another unit. When we were ready to move again, I mailed them the keys so I didn't have to meet them so early at the storage place, then they moved everything into the house. Even moved some furniture around for me as I was trying to find the best place for it (including a SUPER heavy massage chair that I had them move twice!). Arturo, Alfredo, Jose, Chris and Jaime were all very professional and hard working. I despise moving and hope to never do it again, but if I do, we'll call on Jonah's for sure! read more

Just finished a move using Jonas movers, and was not disappointed. My previous experience with a moving company was less than stellar, as they showed up 6 hours late and forgot the keys to their truck which resulted in a further delay. This was not the case with Jonas movers, they showed up right on time and immediately got to work. The staff was incredibly friendly, and delightful to work with. They provided follow up confirmation the day before the move, which was a great relief after my previous move. The care and devotion to the condition of items was also amazing, as everything was wrapped with moving blankets and shrink wrap instead of just wedging blankets between items in the truck. The BEST! We moved from a 3 story townhome into a 2 story home and our crew - Jose, Arturo, Alfredo and Davian were amazing! They showed up on time and exactly as promised. This crew was the hardest working crew of movers we've seen. And we've had 14 professional moves in our 35 years of married life. They were extremely kind and seemed to anticipate every need. We had a number of specific requests (moving certain furniture to different rooms, piano, large armoires, two refrigerators and more) and they handled it all perfectly. They took extra care to make sure items weren't damaged and arrived in exactly the same condition that they found them. We appreciated paying by the hour instead of just a set fee. We wanted them to assemble some new furniture and unpack some of the boxes and they were willing to do whatever we asked. They worked quickly and efficiently so that we felt the cost was reasonable. And they were happy to move the furniture and rugs and piano multiple times until they were just right in our new home. They far exceeded our expectations. They can unhook/reconnect any of your appliances, as well as pack you up or make sure that the packing is sufficient for the move. They wrapped all the furniture, and were mindful when moving our property. Jonah, Ryan, and Artudo were all professional and caring. They put together our bed, my daughter's crib, and hooked up the washer and dryer without me having to ask. Also, per my lack of preparedness, I had many loose items on the second trip and they did not complain about moving any of it. They simply gathered all of the items and moved them in the truck as quickly as possible.
