I went to the service dept early Friday to see if they can help! And boy did they! Everyone in the service dept was WONDERFUL!! Stacie Lucas my service writer was EXCELLENT! I can't say enough about her knowledge- customer service skills and understanding I was out of town and I needed my truck back asap. Well, she pulled it off and kept in constant contact with me through the process!! I got my truck back in a few hours and I was on my way! I am extremely disappointed with the service at Jon Hall Chevrolet. My vehicle is still under warranty, yet I've had to bring it in FOUR separate times for the same safety sensor issue. Each visit has been a waste of time. I was told the sensor was replaced, but less than 24 hours later, the exact same warning signal came back on. This clearly shows the problem was never properly diagnosed or fixed. What's even more frustrating is the lack of accountability. Despite being under warranty, they seem unwilling to fully repair the issue or take the time to ensure it's actually resolved. Instead, I keep getting sent away with the same unresolved problem. This has been incredibly frustrating and inconvenient, especially when dealing with something related to vehicle safety. I expected better service, communication, and follow-through. Prior to making the trip, I communicated with a salesman, Ryan Cunniff, who agreed via text message to an out-the-door price of $26,000 for the vehicle. During those negotiations, he asked whether the deal would be cash or financed and did not indicate that my offer was rejected. Relying on those text-based communications, I took time off work and drove 2.5 hours to the dealership in good faith, fully prepared to complete the transaction. Upon arrival, however, the manager unilaterally disregarded the agreed-upon terms and attempted to raise the out-the-door price to $33,888--an increase of nearly $8,000. Despite presenting clear documentation of the prior text conversation, the manager refused to honor the price that had been discussed. This conduct is deeply concerning. It demonstrates a disregard for the customer's time, effort, and reliance on the dealership's own representations. From my perspective, this closely resembles a bait-and-switch tactic--an approach that undermines trust and calls the dealership's business practices into question. I strongly caution others to exercise extreme diligence when dealing with this dealership. Ensure that all terms are clearly confirmed in a binding written agreement before committing time or travel. DREAM TRUCK TURNED INTO A NIGHTMARE!! I recently purchased a $45K truck from John Hall Chevrolet, and while the buying experience started off great, the post-sale support has been nothing short of frustrating. The process began smoothly--I found the truck online, submitted a credit application, and Jamie, my salesperson, reached out first thing the next morning to go over the details. He was professional, responsive, and easy to work with. I drove down from Kentucky to Daytona Beach, and while the initial financing didn't go through, the team remained upfront and didn't push unrealistic expectations. About an hour after leaving, they called back with a deal in place, and I returned the next morning to finalize the purchase. Everything seemed great. That feeling didn't last. After only one week--and having driven the truck only from the dealership back to Kentucky--the DEF heater failed, putting the truck into limp mode and making it undrivable. It had dents in it. I showed pictures to the salesman within 3 hours of owning the truck he said bring it by. I did that the next day and he talked to the service manager and the both said nope we are not fixing it. He said they all come like that I said really well lets take it off the one in the showroom that looks perfect he just laughed. Well 5 months later this less than awful dealership has still not replaced my rollbar. This is a brand new truck the dealer installed the item in question and they will no stand by there work. I purchased a 2025 vehicle. The sales process and my salesperson were awesome! However, after a few weeks and with only 1400 miles, my transmission went. It is what it is and things like this sometimes happen. I drove it over to the dealership to drop it off and pick up a loaner. Upon entering service, not one person even looked up to see if I needed help. My husband and I stood there like a couple of schmucks saying, "Where do we go?" Finally, a woman at the first desk begrudgingly looks at us and rudely yells "Can I help you?" Like, so sorry you have to do your job lady! I politely explain the situation and the first words out of her mouth after a long sigh "We are extremely busy" Really? Like how is that my problem? There was a little banter back and forth and finally she asks us if we want to speak with her manager. Of course we do! And of course, she goes and has a little powwow with her manager before calling us into the office. Turns out the manager is just as rude and unprofessional as this woman was, again telling us about how busy she is and all of her problems blah, blah, blah. Clearly, they should not be in the customer service industry. I asked her about my warranty which states I could take the car to any Chevy dealership for repair and that my warranty would cover a loaner car assuming the issue was a defect with the car and no fault of my own. To that, she mumbled and grumbled and was told me that they don't have a loaner car program and she wouldn't even be able to get me in for a couple of weeks and the whole time I am thinking "Wow, so I come in and purchase a brand new car and when I have issues with it a couple of weeks later you just leave me stranded and hanging?" The entire time I was there from start to finish both of these women acted like I was just some huge bother to them. Sighing, rolling their eyes, etc. Like as their lack of training and/or staff is my problem or my fault. The very first engagement the minute I walked in felt hostile. Despicable way to do business. Oh, but I get it! The dealerships are independently owned so policies vary. At this place the focus is totally on sales, not service. Because the sales staff are on commission so of course they'll treat you like a King/Queen when buying the car. Once that process is complete you can forget about it. But I have to know, does policy trump manufacture warranty? I don't know but that's something I'll be asking my buddies over at GM Corporate. Anyway, I took my car over to New Smyrna Chevy and they treated me like gold without a second thought. I do not recommend doing business with Jon Hall Chevrolet. Sales rep Cameron, Sales Manager Rob. I was committed to purchasing a brand new 2025 six-figure Tahoe (significance to six figures will be established in my review). My wife and I spent multiple days including Friday July 4th. We spent $400 (rental, gas and babysitter) historically one of the highest traveling weekends, to drive from Savannah to Daytona. Before driving down, we were advised that we needed to start the pre-approval process which is appropriate and expected. However, the main reason we needed to start the process was to prevent a General Sales Manager(GSM) from taking the SUV for a trip to Orlando for the weekend. It was explained that it was commonplace for the manager to choose the most "tricked out" vehicle for personal use. During negotiations via text, I was told that the SUV could be ours for X price, however in voice conversations it was one price and text we were told Y price, which was a $600 difference. Additionally, we were negotiating from the perspective that the car was pristine and had less than 50 miles on it. We arrived and within 10 minutes we were on a test drive. The odometer read over 247 miles. With more miles, this means that there is an increased chance for knicks and scratches, so given this, the SUV would be even more scrutinized prior to us purchasing it. The Tahoe had a significant knick on the front bumper that went through the clearcoat, more than likely caused by being driven the 200 plus miles. Additionally, on the passenger side (quarter panel and below passenger door) there were imperfections that looked like the paint had dripped or bubbled up. On the driver's side there was a dent where the front cowl bumper end meets the quarter panel. I am not ignorant of the fact that the manufacturing of the truck may not have been perfect. Disclosure that there were slight imperfections would have been appreciated before we committed and drove the 3 plus hours. One of the features of the Tahoe was that the seat will vibrate to warn the driver that they are near something where they have the potential to brush up on it or hit it. This feature happened during my wife maneuvering through the dealership parking lot. The salesman, that we met just 15 minutes prior, jokingly stated that my wife may do that more often as "she might enjoy it" (the vibration). Are you serious?? While I understand that all of this is a part of negotiations, clarity and transparency to mileage, damage and imperfections would have been appreciated. Of course, just like any other paying customer would, we asked what could be done to offset the lack of transparency to the damage on the front bumper. "It's covered under warranty; you can take it to a place near your house for repair." My concern was taking a brand new vehicle to get bumper, passenger front quarter panel and passenger front door repainted and the quality do not match the original color. I would have to deal with the possible imperfection, not the dealership. Holding steady, we asked is there anything else they could do given that purchasing a brand new vehicle should not include taking it to be repaired straight away. While this conversation was happening, we looked up what it would cost out of pocket for bumper repair like this. It is half to one percent of the amount of what were about to pay for the truck. "This is the price it is going to be, there is no wiggle room" was the response to asking if anything could be done. Yes, half to one percent is not that significant to the total six figure price tag. They did not make an effort to keep the sale, and we did not stand down from our conviction to the principle. In the very initial conversation of purchasing this truck, the sales manager prided the dealership on always "making things right." Obviously, today would not be that day. read more

He told me that after the test drive we had to sit down and work out all the numbers after I told him I wasn't interested in buying a new car. They hounded me and incessantly called to no end trying to get me to either sell my car back to them or buy a new car or both. Literally I thought about getting a restraining order against this monster who just kept calling and calling from the office and it appeared to come from different numbers and he wanted me to trade the car in for a new car and I hadn't even had it a year. I took my 2015 Impala in to Jon Hall Chevrolet for an oil change (March '24). After the oil change was done service writer lady broke the news to me that I needed new rear brake pads and rotors. After listening to her spiel I mentioned to her that I had had the original pads/rotors replaced by them 2 years ago with 95K+ miles on the vehicle, and only driven 20K miles since then. She quickly retreated to consult with the "Mechanic" who changed the oil, for more information. i.e. come up with an excuse for not checking vehicle history to see that that the brake job had been recently done. As an explanation she said that I must live beachside, as that causes a lot of rust to form. Well, yes, I was beachside, but only for 2 months - thinking they must do a healthy business in brake replacement if brakes only last 2 months in the salt air near the beach. I could write more about the inflated prices they wanted to charge me for the 4 wheel brake replacement they did 2 years ago, before I checked out their web page and found most of what they wanted to replace was about 1/2 the price quoted as it was on their special. When I brought that to their attention service writer of course didn't know a thing about any special. I'd caution anyone who has work done here to avoid agreeing to any additional "repairs" until you have had time to at least check out their on-line deals and competitive prices. read more

Ugh. Once again I don't usually do this. However, here we are. So I have at 2024 Silverado. I took the vehicle in a few weeks ago because of a DEF fluid sensor. A check engine light came on and whenever the tank got low it would come on (this was not a feature). This has happened three times. This is not by design, this was a flaw. I called to schedule an appointment and I was told a sob story about how they only had one diesel mechanic and he was very busy by Audry. I held off the appointment to be nice! My mistake! I made a following appointment and took the truck in. After taking the truck in they stated it must be held overnight which I did not complain about. The next day I got the call to pick it up. They stated that they could see all three faults but since the light was not on they would not do anything about it. I kept my composure and expressed the fact that they are requesting me to run the DEF fluid down and pop the check engine light and THEN they will look at it. I was told directly by the SERVICE MANAGER that this was how they will proceed and I needed to leave. I did respectfully left but I cannot state enough how unprofessional this place is. I will find another place to take my vehicle to get work done on it outside of this establishment. **Update** I had such a poor experience with a vehicle that was under warranty with only 10,000 miles I have since now gotten rid of the vehicle and bought a new truck just so I do not have to deal with this company anymore. read more

I've bought 3 vehicles from here from 2017-2023 2 trucks and 1 suv Will never go back due to the service departments treatment on my 18 2500 LTZ duramax We needed tires. I asked the dealer to price them out and I was alright with the price long story short, the rims came back scratched from what it looks like the machine mounting the tires. I message them about it after I notice the scratches and the simply send me the ueye link that shows pictures of my truck when it comes in. I literally find the worst tire of them all and show them a side by side comparison and they say oh it's just some mud that got knocked off. I can assure you it's not (photos below, only attached a couple) The won't accept photos, they made me come in they'd try to say oh it looks like your other rims have these marks also so what makes you think it was us. This isn't even the first problem I've had with them in service. About a year ago I asked them to do a transmission service. When the truck was returned to me the transmission started shifting hard. After investigation I found that THEY DIDNT ADD ENOUGH FLUID FOR IT TO EVEN TOUCH THE DIP STICK. So thanks JON HALL for that one god only knows how much life you stole from the transmission. So again long story short they lost my business. And if you want your vehicle worked on my competent parties I highly suggest you don't take it to Jon Hall Edited: oh I forgot to talk about the alignment. Wheel not straight what so ever. And on a second note I should have flipped out when they messed up my transmission and made them do a rebuild kit on it for the DAMAGE they caused to my clutches. read more

After our account was set up by GM Financial my wife calls GM Financial about our issues, the lady she spoke to said no problem, the gap insurance and the chevy service agreement can be cancelled at any time. This was in contradiction to what Rick was saying that we had to wait 6 months to get around those fees. Unfortunately, I had the worst experience with Jon Hall Chevrolet. They ruined my transmission replacing the clutch on my vehicle and now will not take responsibility for their actions which leaves me without a drivable car and forced to pursue legal action. Drove my car to them mid November and they determined I needed a new clutch which I was told ties into the transmission on my vehicle,, after Christmas the repair was finally done picked it up and speedometer was all over the place, the engine light came on after a few miles and when parked a large puddle of oil leaked out . Brought it back immediately and was told it wasn't due to anything they did... yet my car didn't leak, my speedometer was not jumping all over the place and my check engine light never came on before I went to them. A senior tech overhead the situation and asked if they had touched/removed the parts that were leaking in order to replace the clutch and the tech replied yes and was told it then needed to be fixed. Get a call a day or two later saying that I need to pay for a new transmission. Went in person to speak with a director and was flat out told they were not going to help make this right. I would not recommend this location to anyone else at all and would advise to seek a recommendation from friends and family for a trustworthy location for needed services. Would have given zero stars if it were possible. They should have done the right thing. They are the worst. I waited 2 months to bring my car in for a reservation and they lied and said I missed it. Every time in the past they sent reminders. This time nothing. Ruined my holidays, my family holidays. Then i took it to a different dealership and they found the issue No problem. They also found a horribly dirty air filter for my truck that John Hall was to replace just a few weeks prior. Just say no to crappy service. read more

Worst experience ever in my 30+ years buying a vehicle. Stopped in to look and possibly buy a truck, We've been looking over six months, they had one I was considering but the owners son was driving it as a demo. When I told the sales manager I wanted to See the vehicle before I committed to buying it, he basically went off on a tangent. How dare we inconvenience the owners son buy making him bring the truck to the dealership to look at before we commit to purchasing it. I've never been treated this way, high pressure sales, demand commitment and don't waste my time attitude. Picture this, being yelled at by the sales staff outside the front door of the dealership, with the whole staff watching. No,no,no. Would never recommend this place. I have owned my truck for a week and a half now and nothing but issues and the dealer refuses to do anything about stating I bought a pre owned vehicle. Have had to come out of pocket for around a grand for repairs. Battery. Suspension and more. On top of this Henry the manager is a racist pile of garbage. His comments and attitude is unreal. STAY AWAY! When my wife and I first went to the dealership to look at cars we already had a few models in mind and a budget set. Once we started speaking to the "salesman" they insisted on showing us cars that were out of our price range or models that we were not interested in. Once we finally were able to get with a car we were happy with started the real nightmares. The financing and price negotiations took almost two hours with them consistently not listening to our limits of a monthly payment and trade-in/money down. They even went as far as to suggest trading in both of our family's vehicles when we were looking to upgrade one because of having a baby on the way. When the purchase was final we were also made to feel as if we had an extended warranty, which when we took the car in to be serviced learned was not the case, and were met with very uncaring reactions. The other huge issue with this place is the service department, when you come in for something as simple as an oil change expect to wait at least 2 hours. And if you decide to stay at the dealership, be prepared for sales people to approach you unsolicited and try to talk you into upgrading or buying another car when all you want is simple maintenance or repairs. Finally the latest issue is when I brought my vehicle in for service I received a vague diagnosis with a quoted price that was 2-3 times the appropriate cost for the job. When I brought this to the attention of the service manager she was not helpful or open-minded at all and instead was combative and dismissive. I wish I could give them a zero! I'm partially to blame because I went in a second time hoping to have a different experience. Their cars are marked way over MSRP. I could have bought the same car in Buffalo at MSRP and $5000 less. They used time share type sales tactics. One soft guy starts out then they bring in a closer. I told them I was not going to let them run my credit report till they showed me a breakdown of what they were giving me for my trade in, the price of the new car and the taxes and fees. They literally just ignored me. I left the building, and the soft guy literally runs across 6 lanes of busy Daytona traffic to coral me back in there saying now they can make the deal. I said ok but I'm not letting you run my credit until you show me the breakdown. Doesn't he come out with the credit app and no information as requested. I started to give him the information then got up. I realized I had no peace with them or the deal, especially since they so blatantly ignored my reasonable request. I just feel bad for Ann a older lady who lost her car in the hurricane that was being worked over by another sales rep. She was trying to talk to me and the sales rep interrupted her and shooed her back to his desk. read more
