Sent a promotion to pay off my lease payments up to $9750.00 When I arrived, we noticed every car had a market adjustment addendum added to the window sticker of $6,000.00 - $10,000.00 over the full window sticker, for basically $250.00 of useless products. I spent over an hour waiting for my appraisal from the sales manager, even though no customers were in the showroom; the manager never looked at my car, so we left. The salesman was courteous and pleasant, but the sales manager needs some training. This promotion seems like a SCAM, as the overcharges on the addendum were equal to the payments they promised to pay. read more

We've come to this KIA service several times for issues with our 2016 Sorento. We've worked with service advisor, Jimmy, who has always been easy to deal with and respectful, however we have had several major issues while working with this location overall. We initially brought our SUV in for a broken head gasket that caused a huge leak between the oil and radiator plus all of the internal tubing. It cost close to $6000 to repair but we were just glad to get it all done and have a reliable vehicle to use for our family. When we received our car back, our side mirrors (the electrical components) were no longer working, nor was our front windshield wiper...we texted and let Jimmy know because we were surprised that we got our car back with two issues we didn't have going in...we had an appointment coming up for something unrelated and decided we would address the issues at that appointment because after our car being in the shop for 2 week, we were just glad to be able to use it again. Big mistake because we should've brought it back that day and demanded they fixed what they broke. Unfortunately, several weeks after this major repair, the exact same issue happened after leaving a doctors appointment. The head gasket broke, oil leaked into the radiator and we had to get the car towed to KIA. We brought back up the issues from the things they broke while servicing us the first time, and although the pats from the previous repair were under warranty, they charged US to fix the windshield wiper THEY broke and did not fix our mirrors. It was unreal. They did they repair, again, and gave us our car back....with a new issue we did not have at all prior to. We couldn't believe it. This time, the air was no longer blowing cold. We brought it back and contacted Jimmy, who had the AC recharged and working fine. We also noticed our phone holder, one of the magnets that sits in the vent that holds a phone for GPS was missing...they either stole it or dropped it and lost it during the repair. Very frustrating and unacceptable. A few days later, a car started having more issues that we never had before. Now, the car will not accelerate at times in the middle of driving, while pressing the gas and the brake lights went on while the car was completely turned off as if the pedal was being pressed. We contacted Jimmy again and are now requesting to deal with a manager to get our money back for the repairs they charged us for that they broke and to demand they fix our vehicle the right way on their dime. It's so unfortunate that they tried to take advantage of us and truly absurd that we are not the only family who have brought a vehicle in to be serviced and got it back with several unrelated issues. They are going to have extreme legal issues. I would not trust them to fix anything and would never recommend buying a KIA just because of how bad the service is. So much time and money wasted bringing our car here honestly. It shouldn't be this difficult. read more

If you can, take your car anywhere but here. They cause more issues than you come in with and then make you pay to fix them. The broke my door when I came in to have a window fixed. They unscrewed a washer causing oil to leak all over my garage floor and then forced me to pay for an oil change for them to fix it. This didn't install a seat correctly and I had to go in again, and then after they said it was fixed, I had to ask them an additional three times to fix it because the leather wasn't on it correctly and it didn't cover the whole chair. Also while I don't blame the young men who provide the shuttle pickup/dropoff. The sales and managers lie about it. They forget to add you to the pickup/dropoff list and you'll find yourself waiting over two hours and having your calls ignored and texts unanswered. read more

Dealership commits FRAUDULENT ACTS. They mail out notices that state you have won specific amounts of cash money, they even give you a phone number to confirm that you've won and that you only need to show up at the dealership to collect. When you show up you get no money and they try to sell you a car. "David" the manager lies telling you that you didn't win. This is classic "bait and switch" tactics and is FRAUD. DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES buy from this disreputable dealership. I gave the dealership 1 star in order to post the review, they deserve NO STARS and should be investigated for fraud by the Attorney General's office for taking advantage of the general public. I see LOTS of such complaints on this page. I filed a complaint with the Florida Attorney General's Office. If enough people do the same, PERHAPS something will get done about this type of treatment and fraud from Daytona Kia. Since posting this review, I have filed complaints with the Florida Attorney General's Office as well as the US Postal Service. After driving 30 miles to the dealership to claim my $3,000 prize, I was told that I had to enter another contest in order to win that prize despite their advertisement stating "Lift all tabs on the King of Cars Game Card. 3 matching vehicles in a row and YOU WIN!" In other words, the advertisement is a lie. So - can one assume that everything they advertise is a lie? I grew up to tell the truth and tend to believe that everyone else is so inclined. They go so fast through the paperwork and don't even show the numbers on the screen, they just make the signature box so big that you can't see everything else. I was a mystery shopper for many years and I can rate what I can hear and see. I'm of an no trust nobody nature type of person but that being said I believe in fairness when writing a review. The waiting area is nice with complimentary coffee. Everything is organized. Observed many of there Kia staff going to get coffee and every single one of them wiping down counters and keeping it tidy. Now to the real deal type of evaluation. My service advisor was Tyler Morris and he was helpful when asked specific questions about services they provided. I think the most important thing of the evaluation is not the front of the house but the back of the house and what is actually going on in the repair shop. That's is hard to evaluate because your not there seeing the care and the following of procedures when the maintenance technician is servicing a car. However because I trust Kia brand and it's staff I'm going to assume that these services are being provided with the utmost care and of course in the best interest of the customer. Steve had my deal made in about 1.5 hrs including a test drive and me calling to set up insurance. I would absolutely recommend "Super Steve" if you're in the market for a car. The longest part of my deal was in finance where I felt the man was pushy and didn't really answer my questions. He did warn me he had too much coffee but he was very overwhelming to me because of it. He did his best to be helpful when I didn't like the price increase from a warranty (that he automatically put on for some reason) and when a deal I called about was incorrect. There were also documents he had me sign with a semi-incorrect address on them; said "Nort" instead of "North" which felt weird. This review is for the service department only. My scheduled service was efficient and friendly. My car is electric, so service for it is minimal. While they seemed willing to help me figure out how to update, they didn't perform a software update on my car. As little as my service required, the service department wanted to charge me for a new cabin filter. I can't recall what they wanted but it was multiple times the price of a new filter. (If my car were a gas vehicle, I wonder if they'd charge for oil?) My driver's side window is scratched. I asked them to fix it twice. The first time I think they polished it, but the second time they did not. The personnel were friendly and helpful and are probably just doing what they're told to do. But, considering how the sales department jacked up the price of my (very pricy) car, and the fee they charged for an extended warranty that doesn't cover service outside of their own facility, you'd think an inexpensive filter would not break their bank. You'd think they would automatically charge electric vehicles before returning them, but, despite my request that they charge it, they had not done it (they'd had my car all day). Instead of making customers feel valued, they choose to have upset customers. As for car sales. Take your business to DeLand Kia... it's only a half hour away and maybe they're more customer-oriented. Never felt so taken advantage of. I'd give sales 0 stars. read more

Daytona Kia is a scammy, predatory dealer that everyone should stay far, far away from. My salesman texted me Sunday after Hurricane Ian blew through to offer me a free inspection for water damage on my vehicle. I decided to come in the next day for what I thought would be a 15 minute appointment. Instead, it turned into several hours where my salesman preyed upon my ignorance of vehicle sales to force me into a lease buyout I didn't want because he filled my head with horror stories about having to pay thousands of dollars in case my vehicle decided to stop working weeks or months down the line. Making matters worse, I couldn't really afford the payment after the lease buyout was completed, so my salesman encouraged me to purchase a new Kia Forte that better fit my budget because the resale value on my other car would more than make up for it. He showed me how Carvana and CarMax couldn't even put a value on my car without an in-person appointment and assured me this meant it would be worth more than the cost of the lease buyout. He also told me that if it wasn't as valuable as I expected, I would have three days to return the Forte and receive a refund on it. All of this was lies, of course. My salesman was careful not to put any of this in writing. So when I took my vehicle to CarMax the next day and discovered it was actually more than $10,000 underwater on the lease buyout, I immediately returned to the dealership and tried to return the Kia Forte. I had to fight with their finance manager and sales manager. They repeatedly told me I could not speak to the general manager because he was too busy to talk to customers. I had to ask six times before I could even get his name. When I asked where his office was, I was told it was located offsite. What kind of crackpot dealership would have a general manager who doesn't even work at the dealership?! I was getting absolutely nowhere talking to the sales manager. It wasn't until I declared that I would be filing for bankruptcy because I couldn't even afford one of the payments, much less two that he said he would try to do something for me. The scummy bastard tried to upsell me into an even more expensive plug-in hybrid vehicle if I traded in the Forte "for full value". Keep in mind this is after I had already stated I couldn't afford even the higher payment on my one, older vehicle. Now his offer was to take an even higher payment on another vehicle? Needless to say I walked out. I had to employ the help of my father to act as mediator because, needless to say, I had several phone calls with the sales manager that devolved into little more than cursing matches. Finally, after about three weeks, the sales manager relented and agreed to cancel the contract on the Forte, but that still leaves me stuck with a payment almost twice my payment on another vehicle that I don't even really want, but can't afford to get rid of because of the predatory lease buyout they made me sign. I'll have to ask my family for help to make the payments on that vehicle until it is at least close to market value so I can finally get rid of it. I firmly recommend you DO NOT ever shop here. If you choose to ignore that warning, make sure if the salesman or finance promises you anything it is IN WRITING, because they will lie through their teeth to get you to sign so they can grab you by the balls and tell you you're screwed after the fact. Absolutely horrible dealership I will never do business with ever again. read more

I wanted to make sure that I won & that I would be able to claim my prize if I had to drive there but apparently it's a trick to get you there on their lot. They need to be reported.
