The company also sends realtime text messages with updates and a photo of your technician so you are able to verify your tech when they arrive. We just bought the house and everything was going wrong He listened to my concerns and I feel he didn't take advantage of me and charge me for unnecessary repairs. Due to a flood in my home, I had this awful company replace my main 5 ton a/c and heating system. Was a nightmare from the start! All kinds of debris from the house being torn apart was now flowing out of the vents. I called about this, only to be told I wasn't charged for it. I said, I have no experience with a/c, that was your job, that I paid u almost $4,000 for. Then, a few days later, their crew misinstalled the drip pan for the a/c, so that when we woke in the morning, we had a giant flood, because his inexperienced, rushed fellas installed the catch pan upside down! Then our bills started to roll in, almost a hundred bucks a month more. I repeatedly called them about this, but they never came over. I then threatened to go after their license, they came over, and blamed the high bills on anything but their work. I told them I think they should go back under the house, and check to see if the vents were tight. He took a little device, held to the vent, and said they could tell the vents were closed. A Thousand bucks or so later in high electric bills, I hired a young man to go and have a look under the house. He found all kinds of gaps in the a/c tubes that go all over, even one area where they were actually off the vents, and just hanging there. The freaking crawl space was much colder than my house! Finally, I told them I want a high SEER rated system, which they assured me they installed, but it is actually one of the worst modern SEER rated, and the heater is like running constantly, because it is filament, amongst the highest generating heat bills one can have. I had several bills over $350, while my neighbors have bills less than a hundred. They also said the a/c unit was not getting enough fresh air, and that I needed a bigger intake vent, so I agreed to pay them the $100 bucks they asked for, but they never showed up to do the work. The lesson I learned is, if you want a half assed job, call Jonaire! read more

I have purchased a furnace, Daikin AC unit and a 18k mini-split unit in the past 2 years from Jonaire. I really can't say enough about the company and its staff. From Mary in the office to the tech crews that handled my installations. Very professional interaction. Both crews were knowledgeable and very neat and clean. On both installations, they were done correctly the first time without need for a follow-up visit to correct something. Pretty amazing! This is my second home and my permanent home is in Nee York. My HVAC UNITS WERE NO LONGER WORKING. I contacted Lowes to ask about pricing and They gave me Don's number to call at JonAire. He went to the home and called me back with a price for the replacement of the HVAC units. We agreed on the price and set up a date for the job to be done. They arrived as planned and they did the work and cleanup to perfection. It was a pleasure having them do the work as they were a pleasure to have in my home. I highly recommend them for anyone looking for an HVAC contractor to do the work. I give them a 5 Star +,+ Don took care of all the work by phone as I was in New York. I just wish I could give these people more than five stars. The fan motor in our central air system died, leaving us with no air conditioning in 110 degree weather. I called Jonaire at 8AM, and by 10AM a technician came and put in a new motor at very reasonable cost. We're now cool and comfortable again. And on top of that, the technician was a very friendly and interesting guy. I generally only write reviews to complain about bad stuff, but this business is really as good as it gets, and they deserve a kudo. The world would be a much better place if more businesses were like this. read more

I wish I could get them a negative rating. They aren't even worth the 1 star. My AC was out and we knew we needed to have a new one installed as the one they installed anew years ago was outdated now. Well, they would t give us a quote for a complete new system without coming out to do a service call. Of course, anyway to get money out of someone. Needless to say, I work for an AC company and had parts replaced on my unit and we knew the unit was junk at this point. Well, they came out and said that all of the parts that were replaced were wrong, but we could keep them to use in an emergency, and that because of this, we shorted out the compressor. Well, news to them, the AC was doing the same thing before the the parts were replaced. They quoted me $8500 for a new unit and I had to wait almost 3 weeks to be able to have it installed. Then they handed us a bill for $450 and they didn't fix anything. I will never again allow this company back on my property or in my house. read more

I would give them more than 5 stars if it was possible. They are very honest and helpful. When the tech Christopher arrived I explained what had happened and that I knew the condenser motor had quit. After giving me the quote to replace it I asked if I could just buy a new one at their location. He said absolutely. He did recommend that I also replace the capacitor. He could have just told me that the compressor was bad because of a sound it was making. He said it was probably not bad but we would never have known if he told us it was bad. The staff at the office was very helpful with finding me the replacement motor and gave me very helpful and free advice on the wiring which was a little different. The lady in the office even wrote down what the tech was telling me which was very helpful. Replaced motor myself with their helpful tips and the a/c is working great. Their honesty and integrity make them rate very high in my opinion. read more

Wonderful company. I highly recommend them. I was told by another company that my compressor was shot and it would cost me $3500.00 to fix it. I found a used one that I was considering purchasing. Their tech, Scott, came out and checked the one I had to assess what it would take to install the used one. He was able to repair my unit at the cost of $200.00. I would give Kristopher, the tech that serviced my a/c, 5 stars, but I have to take back 3 stars for the unbelievably bad customer service from the office. Kristopher arrived in good time (on a Sunday!), quickly diagnosed the problem and made the repairs. He was courteous and friendly and I have absolutely no reason to not recommend his work. However, when I tried to get reimbursed from my home warranty company, the woman who runs the office absolutely refused to speak with the warranty company! She gave me a cock-and-bull story about how the warranty companies (all of them, according to her) "throw us (Jonaire) under the bus" by lying to their customers about what her company tells them so that the warranty company then denies the claim. Presumably the customer then blames Jonaire for nullifying the claim. How it's better for her to definitely lose a customer over her rudeness (and she was quite rude, both on the phone and in person) and unwillingness to even try and satisfy her customer's simple request rather than possibly losing a customer after the warranty company (allegedly) lies is beyond my understanding. My warranty company called her on the Tuesday following the repair and she was as good as her word; she refused to speak to them. So I'm out over $500 thanks to her. read more

eric from jonaire was great, he arrived on time for the estimate. and again for the installation. the crew was very professional and courteous. they went above to try to minimize the inconvenience of the insulation. we installed a new lenox unit that is 1000 times quieter than the piece of garbbage that the builder and his contractor installed, the original unit was so noisy you could hear run from over 100' away. it actually would wake us up in the middle of the night with all the windows closed. their 1st unit was 8 month old and the replacement unit was 2 months old. its true you get what you pay for and jonaire delivered where this other local company didn't. read more
