We had several small projects around the house that we had Jon come work on. He does an excellent job. His communication has been great and I appreciate that he avoids replacing things and tries to repair first. One I don't have a picture of is a door with a hole in it. He patched the door and repainted it so it looked like new. We thought we had to replace the door. He has a steady hand for painting and a good eye for texture. Jon responded quickly to my inquiry for some work to be done. His communication back and forth was good as we worked to schedule a day and time for him to come out. He arrived on time, did the work as we agreed, and was reasonably priced. Additionally, he was friendly and easy to talk to. Jon is a trustworthy person, as I left him alone in my house for an extended period of time and had no worries. I would give Jon 10 stars if I could. He did a great job drywalling my garage and bedroom and painting a door frame that previously had old, peeling paint...it looks like new. He even installed a large cabinet that was removed when my drywall was damaged by water.. He also installed new smoke detectors in my house. His price was very reasonable and he is very meticulous about the work he does. I am getting ready to ask for his help with a couple more items that need fixing around my house. I called Jon to install a new mailbox with post since the wood splitted and collapsed the whole post. Jon came out the same day and within 2 hours of calling him, he arrived at my house. Very reliable. He is very nice, honest, and professional. He explained to me the work he was doing. He did an amazing job installing our new mailbox and post. Especially since I live in Mentone, Their are a lot of big rocks in the dirt to navigate through. We texted back and forth , on and off for many days, and I answered every question that he had. He never did give me a 'ball-park' verbal estimate, and he never came to my house to look at the job to give me a written estimate. Jon Arts exceeded my expectations on the work he completed this week. He was extremely professional, pleasant, prompt, informative and his quality of work was exceptional. I recently had plumbing work that left me with a 2 x 2 hole in the exterior of my house. I spent 2 days trying to get quotes from multiple plaster & stucco repair services on yelp. Everyone I contacted gave me the run around. 4 companies never responded to my request at all. H&M Plastering did take my call, but took 2 days to get me a quote and were difficult to get a hold of. So I extended my search to handyman and Jon popped up in Yelp. I've always been cautious with using handyman for multiple reasons, but at this point it seemed like no one wanted to do my job. So I decided to give Jon a call. He picked up on the first call and we spoke for about 10 minutes. He was very knowledgeable and understanding of my situation. My priority was getting the walls closed ASAP in which he completely understood. He made sound recommendations and after receiving my text with pictures he gave a great quote for the next day. He showed up the next day and completed the work in ample time. My wife and I are extremely pleased with his quality of work. In closing, Jon is highly recommended. I've had quite a bit of work done to my home since moving in. Each time I have been extremely disappointed with the service and the results. This is the first time that the work not only met but exceeded my expectations. Jon and Kyle. Lay down wood flooring put in baseboards painted and put up a closet. I had holes in my dry wall from a plumbing repair and problems with damage and texture due to wall paper removal. Jon installed a TV wall mount and the TV for me and replaced four cabinet knobs on the Hall cabinets. The holes for the knobs were elongated and needed some patching, and I also needed four magnetic clasp closures installed. He did an excellent job on both projects. He spent a lot of time on the cabinet knobs, longer than it took to install the TV mount. He wanted to do a great job and make sure I was satisfied. He did and I am. They look fantastic! John came up to my home within 24 hours of my phone call. Great service great attitude great work. He explained to me everything he was going to do, including coming back to finish the job. I thought that meant just prepping the area and coming back to install the stucco. When I return later the in the day after John was gone the hole was patched beautifully. We set a date for ceiling fan install and he said that he was receiving a lot of calls about a house listing. So he agreed to call me Friday with specific time for Saturday.
