The communication, professionalism, trustworthiness, efficiency, and the desire to go above and well beyond to provide exceptional service and customer satisfaction were obvious (and appreciated). They re-stucco'd our entire home and painted our facia and front and back doors We honestly cannot say enough good things, and the icing on the cake was the competitive price. Not only do we highly recommend him, but we plan to use him again for interior painting. I posted pictures but they do it no justice. In person the texture and color, especially compared to before they redid our home - absolutely gorgeous!

Updated June 6, 2026:…read more Jorge, I think your response says more about your communication style than my review ever did. At no point did I ask you to assist me to "sue" another contractor, nor did I imply anything remotely close to that. That assumption was completely unfounded and frankly unprofessional on your part. For the record, I was able to part ways with the previous contractor in an amicable, professional, and respectful manner. We even exchanged a few cordial text messages after executing our contract termination agreement. What I did ask for was transparency, professionalism, and clear communication regarding the scope of work and your observations during the inspection process. Instead of asking clarifying questions like a straight shooter would, you jumped to conclusions about my intentions to "sue" another contractor. I'm a fair and professional person, and I have no issue with a contractor deciding they are no longer interested in a project. That happens. But the professional thing to do is communicate that clearly and directly -- not disappear, ignore calls and messages, and leave a prospective client completely in the dark after promising a proposal the same evening. My review was based entirely on my actual experience: you inspected the site, committed to sending a proposal, and then went completely silent with no follow-up whatsoever. THIS IS NOT HOW PROFESSIONALS OPERATE! This a critique of your communication style, or the lack thereof, not your business conduct or competency. I just want to be very clear about that.

As a result, a high percentage of our business is from repeat customers and referrals." I decided to reach back out to them for a rental unit that needed work. I specifically told them that the work needs to be done ASAP, and asked if that would be possible. I was assured that everything would be done right away, so I even decided to ask for more estimates on other rental properties I own. Well, I was over promised and under delivered. The first meeting I had with the PM, I waited until 20 minutes past the meeting time, then I called the office to find out he was on a fishing trip! I gave the benefit of the doubt and asked to be rescheduled when he got back. He wasn't available until the following week. So I waited. I asked when the proposal might be available and when we can get work started and again I was assured right away. I texted, called, no answer. I was assured the estimate would come in by Thursday. Nothing. I called the office to see what was going on and was promised that the owner was looking into this and that I would be prioritized right away. Nothing. To this day I haven't received a call from the PM, from the owner, from anybody at Absolute Contractors. I put too much trust and faith in them and was completely let down. I forwent getting other contractors to bid the job simply because I thought I'd be doing business with Absolute. Now I've wasted time and money simply for the sake of taking a leap of faith on a company that doesn't really care about their customers.

From start to finish, the experience was outstanding. Steve and Jesse's professionalism and honesty really stood out they never asked for a dime until the job was completely finished, and we walked through everything together to make sure we were completely satisfied. That kind of trust and pride in workmanship is rare these days. The quality of their painting is unmatched. They painted our newly installed shaker doors and trim with such perfection that they look like they came straight from the cabinet shop -- perfectly matching the cabinet finish. It's clear they understand paint, its quality, and its purpose. A true tradesman through and through. On top of their skill, the care they showed for our home was amazing. Every single day they cleaned up and organized their tools in one location so our home stayed as livable as possible. Even outside, after pressure washing, sanding, and scraping, they went the extra mile by vacuuming up every last paint chip so nothing was left in the planters or around the house. Another concern of mine prior to the painting was I have permanent lighting under the eves of the entire front of our house first and second story. They meticulously masked every single light prior to painting, making sure it all blended in seamlessly, keeping me from having to remove all the lighting and then re-install once they were done !!! The attention to detail went far beyond just the painting. They truly make the statement "You get what you pay for" so obvious from day one!! Our house feels brand new inside and out, and we've had so many compliments from friends and neighbors. We couldn't be happier and would recommend McKenzie Painting (it is a father Steve and son Jesse )to anyone looking for someone who not only does top-quality work but also truly cares about the customer and their home.

Since I wasn't in the area, we mostly communicated through text and phone calls. I appreciate how much pride they took in their work, completing everything on time with high quality.
