One man even left out of frustration, saying he'd rather come back another day than continue waiting. That says a lot. This pattern of delays and poor scheduling is not respectful of your patients' time. Please reassess your booking process and make the necessary changes. Staff are typically kind and apologetic, but it's still frustrating.

In passing I mentioned I might need driving glasses and the doc said okay to wait a couple years. Back in the lobby, they quoted me an extraordinary $400+ AFTER INSURANCE for a single pair of glasses. I took my prescription to Walmart and got them for $150, all the same features. Waited 10 days, got my glasses...and they didn't work. York had given me a prescription for driving glasses. I had to wait for them to MAIL (from the 80's, I guess) the right prescription. Back to Walmart, waited another 10 days, got my new glasses and...WRONG AGAIN. Called York to ask and they said it was for 12-18" distance. Now I'm out $300 for two glasses I don't need. They won't reimburse me. They won't make me even one correct pair of glasses at no extra charge. They won't admit the first two incorrect prescriptions are their fault. They said I should have told Walmart the distance (b/c a doctor's prescription doesn't have all the pertinent info?) They said to tell Walmart they got it wrong and make me another with the new prescription--like they're not going to charge me AGAIN for a new prescription? No accountability, no customer care, no stepping up, fessing up, and fixing the problem, just blame someone else instead of providing an easy fix. Absolutely horrid and unprofessional behavior: just keep denying until the customer gives up and goes away. Well guess what York: HERE I AM.

My previous eye exams had just taken way to long so I decided to try someone new. (NO way I should…read morebe there almost 4 hours for a simple exam at Walmart!). I was able to schedule an appointment and was seen on time and was done and out of there in about a half hour with my trial contacts. My eyes didn't get along with the new and improved multi focals so after a few trials he ordered me a pair of some he does not carry normally. Four pairs of trials, but every time I called or went in everyone was very helpful, friendly and professional. The cost was a little more than the other guy ($20), but the difference in service was priceless. I have a new eye doctor!!!

I had only one issue the entire time I went and it was about the orthodontic retainer... when I got my braces off I asked about getting a replacement retainer if I ever needed one and she said I would get ONE free but after that they're $250... which I remember because I was like eek, I guess I'll take really good care of them then! But about a year later my retainer broke in half and on my next visit I asked if I could get my "one" free replacement retainer and she said they don't replace them. At all! Not ever... but you also have to wear it for life, soooo :/. When I acted confused she said they don't keep your tooth impressions because "where would we store them"? And also she said they destroy them when they make the retainer... (you could have given one to me! ). So I had to go online real fast before my teeth moved and buy all the materials to make impressions, plaster tooth molds, a hot plastic molding machine and plastic to make my own retainer, so I guess if you get your braces off, contact me. I'll make you an impression of your teeth and a new retainer and you can keep the model for the next time lol. Jk. (The impression doesn't get destroyed though... not the one I made, the tooth model didn't either but I can see how it could happen...) Anyway, it was just bizarre that the story was 180 degrees different from one visit to the next. Even the $250 detail... only to find out they DON'T replace them ever!? ‍

He is kind and straight forward about things and it makes everything so simple. My family has been going to him for a few years now and we have never had to wait over our appointment time and if something comes up last minute they will do what they can to get you in. I also ended up with breast cancer later that year after using Bio TE hormone replacement therapy that he said was so wonderful. He never mentioned that HRT could cause breast cancer. Dr. Stuart and his staff are amazing! I have been on a search for a new dentist for years after…read morehaving many bad experiences in the dentist chair. They got me scheduled for an emergency appointment on the same day that I called. The girls that did my xrays and consultation before the dentist came in were so sweet and put me at ease. The waiting room was full, but patients there before me were getting called back very quickly. There was hardly a wait at all. When Dr. Stewart came in I was IMMEDIATELY put at ease. His chair side manner was so kind, and he was very thorough when explaining my treatment and did not rush me through the appointment (which is a HUGE plus!!) He answered all my questions, and never once did I feel rushed or scared. It was the first time in my life that I've experienced that level of care in a dentists office. If scheduling a regular appointment, there is a bit of a wait, but I don't even mind. If that many people are scheduling with him, I think that is a testament to the level of care they give, I would HIGHLY recommend Red River Dental, and I think I've found my forever dentist!
