very yummy drinks - love their coco-matcha cloud and vietnamese coffees. their menu is pretty small but I heard they will be increasing their menu soon. they also have soft japanese bread sandos with egg salad or fruit and cream ones including ube cream! great space and good for studying/working remote!

I did not know that I needed the affogato in my life! This is the 2nd one I've had in the past couple of weeks and love them! Jollidaze's affogato is made with Vietnamese coffee and condensed milk. I get my caffeine fix & dessert at the same time - score! The serving is huge and can be shared.

This spot has everything! The decor is amazing, the food and drinks were tasty and unique, and the service was spot on. I believe they are holiday themed all year long but it's fun to go in during December especially for the vibes. I would definitely come back to try more on the menu too. They have vegan and lots of dairy free options. Also several caffeine free choices (but still lots of sugar) for kids. There were tons of kiddos there too and barely anywhere to sit it was so busy on Monday afternoon. Would love to come back when it's calm and try more too.

I'm surprised I haven't done a review for Jollidaze yet despite coming a few times now over the course of however long they've been opened. I remember first coming here when they were supposed to be a pop-up concept by I think it was Dochi? It was first meant to be a holiday festive dessert shop during Christmas and the decor was pretty cute. I took my girlfriend here and we had a nice time. Since then, they've changed the concept into becoming more of a quaint Vietnamese cafe with a good selection of coffee and matcha options and some other bites. I think it throws me off a little though that they still decided to keep Jollidaze as the name and you can see old Christmas decor in the back, despite them trying to look more modern and aesthetically pleasing. I think it would definitely do them better in marketing if they completely finished the rebranding with a fresh new name and hiding away that old decor. Other than the visual critique, service has always been friendly since the beginning, and it's a nice place to sit down and get some work done. My most recent visit I decided to get the Vietnamese coffee with matcha foam on top. It was pretty good, but one thing I've noticed is that the coffee tasted more like it came straight from one of those instant Vietnamese coffee packets like Trung Nguyen Legend rather than the coffee having more of the distinct phin taste. There's quite a few things that can be improved, but I know they for sure have the potential to go further. Hope the team keeps pushing forward, I believe in you all!

Early morning in Seattle and I was in need of a caffeine fix, enter Jollidaze! My husband and I stumbled upon it while looking for open spots nearby, and it turned out to be a cozy little find. We visited in the middle of summer, so the holiday-themed decor I'd seen online wasn't in full swing. There were still some charming hanging lights, but I was hoping for a bit more festive flair. Totally understandable though- wrong season! The drinks were the highlight. I was thrilled to see pandan on the menu (a rare treat!) and it paired surprisingly well with the coffee. Plus, the green hue gave it a fun Shrek-like vibe. My husband went for the Strawberry Yuzu tea, which hit the mark for his flavor profile. The cafe was quiet and peaceful when we arrived, perfect for a slow start to the day. Overall, great drinks, good prices, and a nice atmosphere. I'd love to come back during the holidays to see it in full festive mode!

I have walked by Jollidaze sooooo many times but never entered. I always thought it was a shaved ice place. It turns out they changed ownership some time ago and is mostly a drinks place. Their holiday decor (i.e. jolli in their name) is hidden behind bookcases during the summertime. On this hot day, we wandered in looking for shaved ice, AC, a place to seat, and a clean bathroom. We got two out of four. No AC but had comfortable seating, a clean bathroom, and some really tasty drinks. Service was friendly. It wasn't busy, and they delivered drinks to where we were sitting. Thanks for that. The Drinks: Ube Phe Latte, $6.00 - 4.5 Stars Mango Matcha Latte, $6.50 - 4 Stars Both drinks rank similarly, but the ube latte is the clear winner. The ube and the Vietnamese coffee work super well together. Grab a spoon to scrape the ube creme off the lids and sides. Similarly, a spoon is needed to rescue the last pieces of mango puree at the bottom of the matcha latte. The drinks are 16oz, not the more common 24oz. I prefer this smaller size at a lower price for a premium drink. The overall rating is closer to 4 than 5. I like that they are a comfortable sit-down drinks place that uses good ingredients. Rounding up to 5.

I've walked past Jollidaze so many times in the past but have never entered due to boba being my dessert of choice. This past CID Food Walk, however, we couldn't resist visiting to try their Affogato specials. I have to commend Jollidaze on their very well run store. Unlike other eateries which were having trouble handling all the extra traffic from the event, Jollidaze came prepared. They had pieces of paper printed out with the choice of tea (Matcha or Thai Tea) and topping (coconut or corn flake), which the cashier could quickly circle with pen and hand off to the chef. Matcha Affogato ($8) - The ice cream comes very frozen, clearly from an ice cold freezer. It's almost difficult to stick the spoon into the creamy sphere, and it's so cold that it actually manages to freeze the matcha into a harder shell all around the vanilla core. The texture of the frozen matcha is very interesting. Kind of soft like pellet ice, but with a bit of additional grit from the suspended tea particles. The matcha itself isn't too sweet, is pretty grassy in taste, and still has a bit of bitterness, which really contrasts nicely against the sweet vanilla ice cream. I don't know which ice cream brand Jollidaze uses, but based on the density of the cream, it seems to be a high quality super premium selection. The corn flakes on top serve to enhance the textural contrast against the creamier ice cream, and there's also the added touch of a waffle crisp. Just a great dessert overall. (5/5) Thai Tea Affogato ($8) - This one is more uniform in texture vs the matcha since the Thai Tea doesn't freeze around the ice cream. It's a good Thai tea flavor, strong vanilla notes, sweet, just great on top of the ice cream. Flavorwise I actually prefer the Matcha, but texture-wise, the Thai tea is better (the coating from the Matcha is a bit too gritty for my liking). (5/5) I was really impressed with both affogatos. No wonder Jollidaze boasts a 4.8/5 rating. I still prefer boba as my dessert option, but I'm definitely itching to revisit this dessert shop for more. What a fantastic end to our Food Walk adventure this Fall! Bathrooms - Larger ones shared with the rest of the businesses in the building. Requires a code to enter.

I see this place as more of a holiday-themed area, probably because I went here the first time when it was still a Christmas-themed cafe back in 2023. This time, I went here with my sis on a Monday afternoon to try some of their drinks that I kept seeing whenever I walk by here. It was empty inside and kinda bright, and there were still some Christmas decorations on the ceiling. There's an ample number of places to sit inside. I got the ube latte, and my sis got the coco-matcha cloud. Both were really good, and neither was overly sweet. The coco-matcha ended up being my favorite because of the more balanced taste especially when mixing it. Drinks also came out fast, and service was pretty good. They also serve some food and soft serve, and I might just try those for my next visit here.

Came here as a recommendation from a Seattleite. As a Viet person, I love the different renditions of a typical Viet Iced Coffee. We decided on getting the Muoi Muoi here and really enjoyed it! If you like a viet Iced coffee with a salty cream top, you should get this.

I came back for the Tamago sando and it was delicious! Perfect amount of filling & mayo, the bread was sooo soft and not soggy which I was nervous about since it was in a box. Service was great and quick, the ambiance is nice and the seating area is clean.

A very cute and nice holiday cafe to go to! This place is incredibly decorated well and gives a lot of holiday vibes. The amount of effort they did to decorate this place is amazing. There's plenty of seating for customers. A great place to bring kids too! I had their Nutella drink (non caffeine). It was okay. There was hints of Nutella but it mostly tasted like chocolate milk to me. The service was good. Servers were nice and helpful. The drink didn't take long to make. They also have foods and desserts on their menu which is cool.

Ube Phê Latte: Very creamy and ube-flavored. The non-coffee option is a bit too sweet, but I imagine it would be the perfect complement with the coffee. There aren't many tables available inside. I loved looking at the Christmas decorations! There is so much going on from the ceiling to the windowsills. There is even a little room for photo ops.

Located in the International District near Uwajimaya, this cafe has festive holiday decor. The small cafe gives cozy , warm vibes to enjoy coffee and or small bites and sweets. There are multiple Vietnamese inspires drinks to choose from which I didn't get today ,but is eager to try one another day. The savory ham cheese croissant was made fresh and had a nice hint of sweetness. Staff were friendly as well.

As you can see from my review years ago, when my hubs and I came back from a trip to Italy, we wanted to find a gelato shop that had the same quality as the shops in Rome. Not all the gelato and sorbetto we had in Italy was good, some flavors tasted artificial, and during our time there, we learned how to tell the good from the meh. When we returned to Seattle, we were happy to find great-Italy-like gelato at the Bottega Italiana in Green Lake. After that shop closed (still sad about that!) we started going to their other shop by Pike Place Market. For years, this place featured delicious, fresh, quality gelato and sorbetto that tasted like the flavors they were labeled with--so strawberry tasted like eating real strawberries and so on. But on a recent visit, I got a small cup with strawberry and raspberry-dragon fruit and the first flavor I got when I tasted it was sugar. As I ate more of it, it started to remind me of Jolly Rancher candies, not totally, but enough to turn me off. They use just enough fruit to make you believe it's the flavor that it's labeled with, but the amount of sugar and other things added makes their fruit flavors as meh as the not-so-good shops we learned to avoid in Rome. Alas, I think my favorite gelato shop in Seattle has fallen prey to profit over quality. Why, Bottega Italiana, why??? It makes me and my hubs very sad. The only reason I am giving two stars instead of one is because the service was friendly and efficient, and my hubs's dairy-based gelato flavors were all right--not great but all right. Over the years, we've tried all the other gelato shops in Seattle and none of them measure up either. I guess it's time we take another trip to Italy.

After learning about Hello Robin some months ago, I decided I had to make my way there one Saturday. A bit of a hike for me, but never too much for a good chocolate chip cookie. In fact, never too much for an average one either - because, let's be honest, even an average chocolate chip cookie is wonderful if you're an office chair. Not peeking the menu before I went, I was pleasantly surprised at the varieties of chocolate chip cookies they had to offer. Being the office chair I am, I swiveled left and right, inspecting the entire display, and ended up getting one of each (ok, that's a lie... I got 4 of each ). While each of them were great, the Whole Wheat Chocolate Chip cookie got me. The whole wheat offered something a bit different - a bit more of a nutty earthiness that you typically get with a brown butter chocolate chip cookie, but also with the pleasant illusion that I was making a healthy choice by going whole wheat. So, if you're an office chair like me roll on over to Hello Robin. You'll be glad you did.
