Jolies nails is truly a staple to this community. I have two older sisters that have been going to jolies nails since they were in middle school (one is 31y/o and the other is 28y/o). Since they were satisfied with her service it made my younger self at the time have faith in Jolie as well. I was 13 years old when i first went to Jolies and i'm 23 years old now. Never have left dissatisfied or disappointed. I've told many people about Jolies nails and i will continue to do so. She's very nice, contributes to the community, and does AMAZING services. Not the best shop. I don't know why I keep giving them chances. I think because I live nearby & it's just conveniently close. I just feel some stuff is outdated. And their way understaffed. Almost everytime I'm getting my nails done they ask if they can take a break to wax someone's eyebrows etc.. Like hire a wax person. It's only two people. One that does manicures. And another that does pedicures. And outdated equipment. Usually other shops I've gone to there's a heat dry machine you put your nails under to dry them. She just put my nails near a fan. And if your nails mess up? The owner gets an attitude she told me "we are not responsible for you! Real nail polish you have to be careful!" Well get proper drying machines so people aren't leaving with wet nails. And I've paid you for a service. If I need a retouch 5 minutes later because they were still wet then accommodate that without the attitude. Lastly I think she overcharged me. She told me my nails were going to be $50. But on my credit statement it's $57. Sneaky. I think that's my last time returning. read more

This shop years ago was very good. The owner Kim she makes her own rules. She overcharges new people. Maybe even her returning clients. She does not have a great demeanor. Beware when you book her for any service!!! Nina is the best one in this shop. read more

I went there for a regular manicure! My first in Palmdale since moving here. What a terrible experience! The nail polish on my thumb began to smudge before I left! I had to completely remove the polish from most of my nails minutes later! The only fingers that had survived the 5 minute trek from there without being ruined were my pinkies. Maybe it had something to do with their nail polish being THINNED OUT!! The nail tech had been pouring thinner into the nail polish bottle, while he was doing my nails, because the polish had obviously run out! I had heard of nail salons diluting their polish, but forgotten about it. They are practicing diluting their polish here people! Then make you feel like you're the one who is not being careful with your hands. The fan had been blowing on my hands for at least 20 minutes. Good polish and top coat should dry faster! Be wary of regular manicures here people! read more

Do not go here. The old ladies don't know how to do pedicure at all. They are overpriced and do not listen to what you say and literally ignore you when you are requesting them to stop ! I paid $76 for myself and my daughter but my toes were not painted at all! She only barely cleaned them then when I said stop I'm not paying full price for this! I read the glowing reviews so I was excited to try this place. The website said they don't take appointments so I expected to possibly wait. I wanted a pedicure and a fill but after it took two hours for the pedicure, I cancelled the fill. The woman didn't speak English very well so she didn't give me what I asked for and had to start the polish over. When she was finished, $35 later, I ended up with a hole at the top of my toe with polish in it and a French pedicure that looks like I did it myself in the dark. I don't usually give reviews but this was too bad not to warn others about. I can't recommend this place read more

I walked in to have gel manicure. After 2 hours I walked out with a manicure that looked worst than what I had walked in with. Twice I felt pain: once when the electrical polish remover hit my skin and again when she was cutting the corner of my nail. She went too deep. It's 2;30am the following day. I walk up from the throbbing pain in that same finger. This industry needs state regulations licensing of the workers for instance. Btw, when will Yelp allow a no star option. read more

WARNING! I was getting a pedicure and I noticed the lady only cut my nail from the front and not the sides, so I asked her if she could cut the sides. A normal pedicure right? But I guess the lady had a problem with it, her response was; "okay, but if I cut you and you bleed and get an infection it's not my problem" and snatched my foot. I was so shocked at her response. I told her "No, that's not okay at all and I'm not comfortable with you proceeding to do my pedicure after what you just said". So she said "okay leave now!" I had no choice but to put my wet feet back in my sandals and leave. Do yourself a favor and don't come here. read more
