I found this place because they had a article in the SI LIVE app and I was happy to know that the owner was all about treating her workers great and all about great hygiene and clean working environments. The owner greets you at the door and she's very sweet, shows you the polishes and what technician will be taking care of you. I loved the fact they had all the nail polishes matching gel polishes! Do you know how much it drove me crazy and annoyed to find the closest and most perfect color to match my toes! Now they made it so much easier for customers that gets 5 stars automatically!! Very spacious, clean and pretty store with lots of polishes and love the huge pretty decor water fountain it's like those relaxing ones you see in spas. The pedicure chairs are nice, comfortable and clean and the best part of the pedicure is not only your own personal nail cutter, buffer and filer that they show you is sealed and just opened for your service but the pedicure liners for the small foot tub!! Generally a good nail place. Clean and spacious. I'm a pedicure only kinda person. They use the plastic liners in the drain which is a plus. There are lots of rumors about fungus in Richmondtown. Depending on time of year and day of the week they may be busy. There are specials during the week posted $27 for mani pedi. But not on weekends. It's convenient for me and but parking lot is rough. One major thing to be aware of...they can either paint little kids nails or do a full service ...that is $15!!! On my 6 year old!! My fault for not asking if there was a price difference! But my jaw dropped when I saw the bill. And the Only issues is that they seem to be unhappy when u use a credit card...and also today, I was kind of annoyed that the girl was hovering around my 6 year old for her tip. Most importantly, the place was super clean! They have these plastic things that look like shower caps that go into the pedicure tub so I'm not soaking in someone else's foot skin. Okay so let me start by saying the ONLY thing good about this place is how clean it is. I've been here a handful of times and kept giving them chances to do better on my nails. I even went to different nail tech's but it NEVER changes. I really don't like to complain, but if things continuously happen over and over AGAIN something has to give. I'm so upset because this place is literally right down the street from me, so convenient! The first time I went I got a acrylic set regular polish. That's what I ALWAYS get at every nail place I go to. The guy who did my nails was good but the guy who did my feet were even better! So of course I walked out with my toes looking better then my nails!!!! Which is ridiculous. This time I went I asked for ombré matte acrylic set and I said I wanted my nails LONG I always get them LONG, the guy who did my nails did them extremely short! So I told the rude bimbo who sits on the chair all day in the front of the store " does this look like the picture I showed you? " she said " no short nails are better " excuse me? I want long I'm paying $60 give me LONG. So I kept them short. I asked for then a nice coral pink matte color with gems. They didn't have a selection of gems. When the guy started to do the gems he pushed them so far into the wet nail it left dents which he was not able to fix unless he was redoing the whole nail. I was completely lost with ideas because one I never get short nails. Two the color was disgusting. & three the nails look horrible !!! The first picture is what I actually wanted, the second picture is what I actually got ( mind you I used a filter so it could look better ) , the third picture is how it looks in less than two weeks ( which looks 100x worse I'm person ) ! I've never experienced this before. The girl who sits there in the front of the store thinks she's the queen of Korea and is so fucking rude to everyone. Once you walk in the store everyone stairs at you like fucking weirdos and whispers and ew just ew. Poor customer service skills. read more

Saw the salon owner convince a customer that the color was "more dark" after one coat, the girl wasn't happy but he instigated it's gonna darker. After a complete mani, the color wasn't right.. and had to redo it. I felt so bad, because this could've been averted if the nail tech could've asked for she wanted a darker color. My experience was also very time consuming. Got there for my 4:30 appointment, got a gel mani and a pedicure (usually takes 1hr and 45 min, 2 hrs at most.. and even that's a long time) I was out of there at 7:05pm. 2 hours and 35 min. The gel mani was very long, and took about 1.5 hours. An experienced nail tech can get it done in 30 minutes. The quality of the pedicure was not that good, the massage wasn't that nice, no pressure at all.. it was like she was lathering lotion for an hour. Might not be for everyone. When I went to pay for my services, it was $70, which wasn't bad. I've paid $80, and $90 at some other places.. no big deal here. The rude and nasty Spanish man at the front desk said $76, and I asked how come? It says $70 on the bill, he goes "for taxes." So I ask him what the tax rate was, because 8% is 5 and change. He got very nasty with me, tells me that the tax rate is 8.775 physically shows me in the calculator and says "don't mess with me, I know my money." I happily paid, gave the nail tech a hefty tip for trying. That's 2.5 hours of my life on a weekday that I'll never get back. Never coming back here. Too slow, and I've never had a pedicure/manicure that I've literally looked at the time and wished she was done already. Never coming back here. Took it as a good sign considering I had never been there before and don't know anyone else who has. The massage utilizes a scrub, lotion, and hot stones, and the price is great for all of that ($21)! I wish I had asked for the name of my pedicurist, because she gave a relaxing massage and was very delicate with my tootsies. She, along with the rest of the staff, was very sweet. So I had an appointment for a gel mani and regular pedicure. When I walked in everyone was already busy so I waited about 25 minutes. I picked my color and after my pedicure, a different lady starts painting my nails and the colors don't match. (They were supposed to) Apparenlty that happens sometimes when using gel. However, my toes were a hue of purple and my nails were a bright pink. So I had to pick a neutral nude color for my fingers so they didn't clash. Two hours later I was done and when I tried paying with my credit card, the machine wasn't working and neither was the ATM inside the store. The owner instructed me to walk down the street to a deli that had an ATM. Absolute nightmare. I will not be returning. read more

Hands down the best nail salon for acrylics. I tried this salon for the first time last summer and I have consistently kept going this whole year. I can honestly say I have never been disappointed. They will do exactly the length/shape I want and it always lasts for weeks. Its also at a very reasonable price. I am so happy I found this place!!! In the past I've had experience with other nail salons that will make it either too short or too long or wrong shape and the nails will start lifting after 1 week. Every week there's new workers because they treat the workers like crap. I Will never ever go here again!!! Very unprofessional & nasty owner. She has no regard to customers who make an appointment. I had an appointment & I showed up 10min early. I was willing to wait yet she took "walk in" customers before me. When I reminded her of my appointment she became extremely assertive saying "they are going as quickly as they can!!" I said I understood but again I did make an appointment. I see that it's best to just "walk in." The owner then proceeded to have a conversation about me to her client she was working on. It was late & I had an occasion that evening. Otherwise I would have just walked out. After waiting 35min (not counting the 10min early arrival) I was finally called to have my nails done. One person removed polish, another filed & did cuticles while another applied new polish. All this while I had to constantly move my seat. When I was paying the owner, she was still nasty & repeating herself by saying she is low on staff & they work as quickly as they can. I stated to her that I understood but she could have told me on the phone that appointments mean nothing. After my awful experience, I now have a fungus on 2 fingers. Dr said it's from dirty tools at nail salon. I'm on oral antibiotics & must apply cream 3x a day. I may also lose one of my nails. Please do not ever go to this salon!!!!! read more

Great pedicure by Rosa. She also is an excellent waxer. The only issue I have with this salon is the 'Manager" that is present in the afternoon. She is a blonde haired woman who has an attitude. She constantly moves the manicurists around....you may have one person doing your nails and she will then have another one finish the job. When you question her, she usually gets nasty. I needed a pedicure desperately and saw a grand opening sign for Chanel nail spa and decided to try it out. I was glad I did. When I walked in I was greeted with smiles and it was spotless! Nothing is worse to walk into a dirty salon. I love that they use the liners for there pedicures and all there tools are in a sterilizer. The pedicure chairs for the back massages are awesome and you don't feel like your sitting on top of the person next to you. Spare yourself and DO NOT GO HERE. Went for a gel mani and pedi because the last place I went to for a gel mani chipped in a week. Thought this place would've been better as their prices are higher and I've been once before and it was an OK experience. First, I told the lady doing my pedi NOT to do something to one toe because I had an ingrown nail removed and she proceeded to do it even though I told her not to. Then, the lady who did my manicure was pushing my chair in before I even sat down and messed up my pedi. Gel manicure is TERRIBLE. First off, if you're going to take an hour and a half to do a pedicure and gel manicure at least make it decent. I have bubbles in all my fingers and this woman did not even file my nails straight. Also have polish on my skin which she didn't bother to remove. Nails are not something I'm particularly picky about but this is just unacceptable. First and foremost, let me get straight to the point. This is the best pedicure I've had. It is absolutely a full service pedicure at a great price. The manicurist that worked with me was absolutely professional and provided excellent service. The manager, who knew I was a first-time customer, was one of the nicest managers I've ever encountered in New York. An easy recommendation for a pedicure in Staten Island. Now, the reason why I cannot give it five stars is because while I was getting my pedicure, some of the spa employees, who were so emphatic about getting through their closing to-do checklist, interrupted our pedicure a few times. One actually stood over my manicurist, asked her if she was done yet, and proceeded to just stand there observing as to tell her to hurry up and get through my pedicure which was so rude and disrespectful. My first visit here and I was impressed! It is spotless, beautifully decorated and very large. They have a great selection of polishes, and have the gel colors with matching regular polish together on the rack, so it's easy to match your hands and toes. The staff was pleasant, and did a wonderful job. The pedicure was amazing! It was also quiet, which is a PLUS as in my old salon, the owner brought her children to work, who ran around and fought the entire time. NOT very relaxing! Hmmmmm how do I start with this salon? Well for beginners it is a beautiful salon you walk in and see beautiful white and gold columns, such nice pedicure chairs and a bunch of nail polish. I went in for a gel manicure and pedicure. This place is extremely pricey for a gel manicure and pedicure I paid almost 70$ with no tip. The pedicures are 24$ and my gel manicure was 27$ so how I walked out paying about 70$ is beyond me. My nails were so brutally beat from acrylic that I told them I just want to do gel just to make sure my nails go back to being healthy but the owner kept bringing up that my nails were going to crack and I needed uv which was 50$. I understood where she came from because my nails did start chipping but I know what I came in for and UV gel was not it. Anyway my nail technician was a man Tony or John was his name I believe I don't really remember, however it looked like he didn't want to deal with doing my nails or pedicure bc the manager kept yelling at him to do my nails and toes so I felt a little uncomfortable. This nail salon was good I had a good massage but for pricey they def were. And very limited perfect match and gel colors maybe 10. All in all the service was ok but the salon was beautiful. You can def go somewhere else for a MUCH cheaper price and a similar job. read more
