Today, July 7, I returned the gun with the receipt. The store did not have any more Pierce nail guns in stock. Although there was one on display, they refused to give me that to me. They said there was one in Siloam Springs, 40 miles away. I had already traveled 60 miles to return the broken gun. For my return, that was defective, i received a refund butI was charged a 20% restocking fee ($33). When I contacted customer service I was informed: #1 Restocking fees were charged at the discretion of the store manager #2 The store cannot remove display items for purchase or return #3 I would have to had purchased the extended warranty for full refund #4 Item would have to be returned unused in original box (hello, how would you know it was defective if you hadn't used it) #5 it would be necessary for me to have upgraded to make the return for full purchase price possible I have done carpenter work for 30+ years. I have purchased items at this store in the past. I'm not new to nail guns. Not only was this item a defective due poor quality, but the stores optional "restocking" fee is unacceptable. Please consider not purchasing from this store unless, if necessary, you are willing to meet all the criteria listed above or you are willing to be a dissatisfied customer with no recourse.
