To set the scene: The year is 2021 and the supply chain is backed up like crazy thanks to the effects of a multi-year global pandemic. I've just bought my first house, and it came without a stove. After a couple weeks of fruitlessly researching online, I came into Metro Appliances to look at some ranges in person and hopefully get something relatively soon. I got paired up with Matt. We sat down and talked about what I needed (an unusual size with a liquid propane hookup), when I needed it (ASAP), and what I'd looked at so far. My first pick, a KitchenAid, wasn't going to be available for at least another 6 months. My second pick wasn't going to be available until January. He sat back and thought a little bit and then said, "You know, I think Fisher & Paykel is shipping within two weeks." And they were! And now I have a stove that I love! The installation crew was great. They were super fast and polite and did an excellent job of explaining what I needed to do next. If l could give zero stars l would. Purchase a new refrigerator and it was damaged when delivered. A new door was ordered several times. Each time the door was supposedly damaged. It has been three months and l keep getting the same response. They even lie to the GE service department by saying the door was not delivered. My next recourse is to file a small claims complaint. Please dont purchase anything from this company. I wish l had read the complaints before l pirchased. read more

I am writing to express my sincere gratitude to David Ward and Metro Appliance store people in Lowell, Arkansas for resolving our dissatisfaction issue in one day that was never resolved with Frigidaire/Electrolux Service. Our part replacement issue was ongoing for 6 weeks. I and my husband Peter love all Frigidaire appliances that were sold by Metro Appliances to our new home builder. Especially the Microwave product #PMBS3080BFA. In short, we like the appliances for the best performance, looks and durability with reasonable pricing. Unfortunately, the microwave needed the turntable motor replacement in original manufacturer's warranty by Electrolux Service. The service technician accidentally dropped the trim kit on the floor and damaged it. He promised to replace it but he never did. The Electrolux Service Representatives tried to resolve this issue in 8 phone calls that my husband placed without success. We just received false promises from same service technician and service people. This is when David and Metro Appliance came to the rescue. Metro Appliances didn't cause the issue but they took a responsibility making sure to make a customer happy. David procured new trim part in one day and have it ready for pick up next day free of charge. We need more people like Metro Appliances have to make our lives better. The products they sell and their showroom in Lowell AR are beautiful. I will recommend everyone I know to shop there. read more

Customer service is nonexistent. Do not shop here. All they want is sales, once they sell you appliances you are on your own. I work in construction and many of my clients have bought their appliances through them. All I hear is how pissed off they are with Metro. I've had to deal with their installation and customer service and the nicest way to put it is that it is nonexistent. Don't waste your money and energy going here. You will regret it. read more

Absolutely horrible customer service. The process for them to install your appliances is beyond ridiculous. The installer came out 4 times, twice he entered without even knocking and left without even notifying us he came to inspect. After we fixed everything to be ready for install they still refused to install them without a 5th inspection. They refuse to listen to the customer. read more

This poor rating is fully regarding Customer Service and a Warranty I purchased over 4 years ago. Being understanding I called weekly for 3 consecutive weeks. Each time I was told Jon the Store Manager would call me back. Then 5 weeks went by, still no call from Jon. On Saturday August 1st we drove over there. I left thinking there was a solution. Since then the warranty company called and they will take care of both items if I pay $89 for the part & $ 65 for the Service Call. That is unacceptable as I already paid over $300 for a 5 year warranty, and it hasn't expired. I will NEVER do business with them again. Trust isn't there anymore. I added a picture of the seal on my dryer, it's coming loose. Also, the basket in my freezer keeps falling. The refrigerator is only about nine months old. Metro just sent out "Andrew" to deliver and install my Bosch Dishwasher. Could not have had a better experience ! Andrew was on time, friendly, courteous, professional, paid attention to details, took out my old dishwasher,..even vaccumed my kitchen floor before installing the new one. Made sure it was working properly, hauled off all debris and trash and was on his way. No wasted time. Metro is fortunate to have Andrew on its payroll and Nick in the Sales Department. We have used Metro for appliances in 3 different houses. They have a large stock of equipment and a great show room. However, we bought a washing machine from them last year and immediately had balancing issues. They helped us get two techs out to diagnose the issue. After the techs said it was an unrepairable problem, we tried to work with Metro to get it replaced. They said they would help us, and then did nothing. We talked to our sales rep and the manager, who told us they would take care of things and never followed up. We will not be using Metro again, they will not take care of you after money exchanges hands. read more

Pathetic cannot even give you a welcoming thank you for calling when answering phone. This person answering phone needs to be taught proper phone etiquette. As far as customer service on their warranty, pathetic as well. They have been waddling in the mud now for a week and haven't got a service man out yet for our trash compactor. Do not trust them. We purchased a refrigerator ($10,000), a stove top ($4,500) and the stove top ventilation ($1,500). The stove top ventilation did not fit as there was some confusion. Metro charged us a $500 restocking fee to simply return the stove top ventilation. We choose Metro over online because they are local and we nievely believed they'd give better customer service. Nope! Buyer beware. You can return product online at no expense. Purchase at Metro... good luck with any returns. read more

do not buy an extended warranty from safeware solutions offered by metro appliances. i made that mistake and regret it every day. i filed a claim on a two year old stove two months ago....still no word or fix. every call to safeware goes to voicemail. i was unable to prepare thanksgiving or christmas dinner for my family so now, i am angry. do yourself a favor, shop elsewhere for an extended warranty and avoid safeware solutions...their service stinks. read more

Wow does this place have some amazing appliances! I went in looking for my mom and dad a new dishwasher. I spent about thirty minutes in this store, before I got fed up and left. There were associates up walking around that I made eye contact with several times. I feel as a person who was in retail, if you make eye contact with a customer, you come over and help that person but that may just be me ‍ As I walked by where their desks are, one guy was playing a game on his phone.. super busy huh? The only reason they aren't getting a really bad review is because they do have REALLY cool things at pretty decent rates! Also, the receptionist is really nice so I'm doing this for her honestly. If I could leave you with some advice, go directly to the associate and ask them for help! Just like my uncle said, they stand behind their products. My mother was having some trouble with the drawer on her new stove and so Metro sent someone to look at it and the problem will be fixed. Building a new house is not easy, especially at the age of 77 and there have been plenty of issues. I am so thankful to the professionals at Metro for treating my mother with respect! I have bought all of my appliances at Metro and been very happy... until now. I bought a Bosch dishwasher 100 series. Very first load it stopped during cycle. Second load same thing. I figured problem out... door was not latching. I called Metro and was told they don't guarantee product and I'd have to contact Bosch, which I did. Bosch told me that's not covered under warranty and I'd have to call repairman and pay for it myself. Sooo I buy a new dishwasher that is a lemon and I have to restart it multiple times every cycle? Apparently neither Metro or Bosch care about their customers. I paid for a dishwasher recommended by Consumer reviews, and have to check on it every 10 mins. to restart it. read more

I am so mad I have waited months to get my refrigerator doors and they were supposed to come out and put on my doors fixed the second dishwasher they never put a plate on and fix my icemaker well I was putting out other fires the guy left icemaker never got looked at! Metro appliances has a great selection of high end appliances. They have pretty good prices relative to other places. They carry items you won't find at Lowes or Home Depot. Metro carries brands like Electrolux, Jenn Air, Kitchen Aid, Wolfe and Viking. If you want help from an associate though you might need to wait a few minutes or make an appointment. They are not plentiful but they are very helpful and knowledgeable about the differences among the brands. If you are building a house, your builder might have additional discounts. read more

We've been doing business with Metro for over 20 years and have found them to be the BEST. We had a problem that could not get repaired with a refrigerator we bought from them 4.5 years ago. All attempts to get it replaced by the manufacturer failed. Metro ate the cost of a complete refund to me as a credit toward a replacement refrigerator. Any one I picked out, not just that same mfg. I was looking for a small chest freezer and called several businesses in the NW Arkansas area. Everyone was out of stock and said it would be a couple months before they would get any in. The only business that said they were still getting chest freezers was Metro Appliance in Lowell, AR. When I called and spoke with Cory, he immediately took down all of my information and put me on a call list. It was only 4 days later that I got a call from Cory saying they had some 5 CF freezers. Bought a Bosch dishwasher from them exactly 2 years ago. It stopped working so I called Metro. The only help I got was to shame me for not buying an extended warranty. They are not backing or servicing what they sell. I paid over $1000.00 plus $170.00 for installation when I bought it. Now we have to pay a service call and parts to fix a defective item. So much for Bosch or Metro. I thought I was buying a high end item. Now I should have just bought one from Sam's or Best Buy for less. We had an issue that was actually an error on our builder's part, but they not only came in and assessed the situation and offered a great cabinet person, but they came back and reinstalled the dishwasher at no additional charge. Rocky was our representative and was professional and very accommodating as well as courteous. I would highly recommend them and their products to anyone. This is our favorite place to shop. They have wonderful products and a large number of salespeople, but do not have enough installers or repair people to support their sales. I would encourage you to make sure they can meet your needs for delivery and installation before you purchase. Bought a GE Zoneline from Metro and my initial experience was pretty good. The salesperson David spent two hours on the phone with me to make sure I got the right unit. He was great. It all came off the rails when I went to pick up my unit. I was greeted by a blank stare and a indignant response that I hadn't paid so they didn't order it. Funny, I had just gotten my credit card statement and the charge was on there. After standing there embarrassed in front of all of the other sales people not making eye contact and keeping their heads down they figured out that they were looking at a quote from another phone call I made to them. That guy was trying to sell me a $1400 unit and David carefully listened to me on another call and saw the unit I needed was really only $801. As I am loading it the same salesperson who tried to charge me $1400 asked to keep my power cord because he wanted to make sure (David on vacation). He personally assured me I would get the cord in three days and he would drive it out to me. I told that wasn't necessary, he could mail it. He said he would call me and let me know it was on its way (crickets). Three weeks later I finally called back because construction reached the point for the unit to be installed. When I called back I was told they would have to ask permission of the manager to send it by mail. I just couldn't take it anymore and asked to speak to the manager. The guy got back on the phone and said the manager was busy and would call me immediately after he or she got off the phone. The call never came. My co-worker had to threaten them with writing a YELP review to get them to make right when he purchased a very high end kitchen appliance.
