If you want country food like mom use to make, this is the place to go!! Beans and cornbread! Fried chicken with mashed potatoes! Maybe their chicken fried steak!? The stew is delicious, although, I have thought it to be too salty a time or two. The place is very small. I am guessing maybe 12 tables. I usually get mine to-go and it's still yummy after the 12 minute drive home. But one might want to eat at the park located a short distance from this corner restaurant! We absolutely love this small-town family dinner. It is busy at times but well worth the wait. Their daily specials are always great and priced just right. In the eight years we've lived here we've only had bad service maybe once. One time my burger was messed up but a handmade patty breaking in half doesn't really count does it? No, I don't think so; at least it wasn't frozen or vacuum-sealed meat ready to throw on the grill. We love this small mom-and-pop restaurant. This place definitely ranks in my Top 3 places in the Tulsa. This hidden gem is tucked away in the middle of downtown Bixby. When I was interning at Central States Orthopedics, patients would constantly recommend coming to this place. My clinical instructor and I decided to give this place a shot. We came in with very high expectations, and did not leave disappointed. My CI got a jumbo jalapeno burger and I got the catfish basket. Patients would tell me that this place has the best catfish they've ever had, and I'll agree with them on that. The fish was crunchy on the outside (like all places do), but still very moist and tender on the inside (unlike most places with fried catfish). The basket comes with hushpuppies, cole slaw, and their legendary fries. Man oh man, these fries are something else. My CI stated the burger was the best he's had in Bixby (even better than Sam's and Scott's). As we told the front desk we would be leaving for lunch at Stepping Stone, and a patient told us to get the chocolate cake if they had it that day. What I liked about the dessert menu is that there was none; dessert varies each day based on what the family decides to make. We had the chocolate cake, which included homemade frosting. Easily some of the bust cake I've ever had. After that, I was done...stuffed to the max. This place does everything right. After the table behind us found out it was our first time here, they proceeded to inform us that everything, literally everything, is homemade here. The family all takes different roles in the restaurant. I'm told everything is made by hand, from the burger patties and onion rings, to the cake batter and frosting. And you can tell...this stuff is delicious and not fake in the least bit. If you're looking for a down-home experience, look no further. PS, I forgot to mention that I saw nothing on the menu was over $8. Best bang for your buck at this place. read more

Nice little mom and pop restaurant in Bixby! It's fairly small and often busy at lunch time with all the staff from nearby Bixby school so make sure to head there early if you can! The menu is really simple and full of southern fares like their famous chicken fried steak and fried okra. I had the chicken fried steak with green beans, mashed potato and gravy. It was delicious! The portions are very generous for a great price! It reminds me of a Cracker Barrel but better in a way because it really taste like home cooked food. It's nothing fancy but definitely a great location to have lunch if you are in the area. The service is great, very friendly and efficient! On Wednesdays they serve a special Indian Taco that I have been hearing about but didn't have a chance to taste it yet. I will definitely come back and try that if I have the opportunity! read more

This place is great just simply great they have great burgers. Also this places is talked about all through Bixby is a legend. The most talked about thing on there menu is the iconic Indian taco which is a special you can only get a certain day of the week. My favorite thing to get there is the Jalapeño chicken strips which is a special on certain days of the week. There are two specials and the Indian taco looked amazing...I will order that the next time we come. The staff never sit but are efficient and nice. I had the chicken fried steak dinner, came with salad, beans, mashed potato's and gravy and a homemade yeast roll.. we also had the steak beef strips and fries... All were very good... he green beans have some onions but no discernible seasoning, so a bit bland. We also tried the homemade pie, Hawaiian and it was very filled with bananas, pineapple and coconut... prices are amazing... this place does not serve breakfast... We visited this little gem for the first time today at lunch after living here almost 3 years. To say the least, I wish we would've discovered it sooner! It was absolutely delicious! I ordered the steak fingers (beef bites)- only $7.99 for lots of steak, mashed potatoes, fried okra, bread, and your choice of soup or salad! It was all so, so good! We also had a jalapeño burger, onion rings and chicken strips...none of which disappointed. As we paid, we spoke with the cook and owner and he told us that he tries to make everything he can from scratch which was evident in the taste of the food. Without a doubt your neighborhood Café that fits perfectly in downtown Bixby. Visiting my fiancé a few weeks back we headed over a few blocks and ate here. She had had their food on a few occasions and liked it and I'm always searching around for a great burger. The service was attentive and took care of our every needs including bringing to-go cups of pop without even asking.
