I can't say enough wonderful things about Robert! He responded to my inquiry and engaged me in a…read moreconversation to help me determine what my plumbing problem was. He offered to come out next day and maintained contact with me throughout the process. He was exceptional, fixed my issue, explained what was wrong and how to address it should it happen again. He was courteous, professional, and affordable. I would recommend to anyone having plumbing issues and I will absolutely utilize again! UPDATING (from 5 stars to 1) as of 7/12/18: I reached out to Pro. Drain Svcs. to see if they could help my parents with a water leak problem. I was advised, via yelp chat from the business owner, to have them call directly. My parents called and had an appointment scheduled for a Fri. morning at 10:30 am. After waiting all morning and afternoon no one from this company showed up. Worst of all no one called to explain/reschedule. I send the business a message inquiring about what happened and received no response. It is a week later and I am still waiting. How embarrassing to provide a glowing referral to someone and have it turn out to be such a bad experience for them. Will seek services else where in the future.

I ended up holding off until Monday since it wasnt a big emergency but it is great to know that he would come out so quickly. He came out Monday to give me a quote just like he said. His speedy response was greatly appreciated.

"If you can't be a good example, then at least be a horrible warning"…read more Fine, I'll be the horrible warning... To my knowledge, there was no zombie apocalypse going on. There was neither a blizzard nor was it raining sulfur from the skies. The plumber did not have to answer questions from the Sphinx to gain access to my property. The plumber did not have to fight through an army of gremlins to get to my house or dig through corpses to get to my sink. The plumber did not need a support team to extricate the water supply valve from a hidden haunted cave under my house. The parts were not made of Rhodium nor did they need to be shipped from the planet Venus. So why, exactly, should it cost $1000 to replace a water shut off valve and water supply line to a kitchen sink?? Are you just doubling the cost & then sending that difference to the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation and getting a tax break or just taking advantage of people who you can take advantage of? Just wondering... With that being said, the actual plumber was nice & did his job well & I would hire him again...if he was self employed...and the price was within reason

EXTORTION! AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I had a refrigerant leak in…read moremy whole house heat pump system. Gem came and refilled the coolant and charged over $800. They also added UV dye to find the leak, and said they should come back in a few months to track down the leak. All the coolant they added was gone (and the heat was not working again) in less than two days. Gem came out again and identified the leak in the curve of a copper pipe. They quoted almost $10,000 (!!!) to replace the line and refill the coolant. Another company came and did it for $1,800. Half of the price they quoted (almost $5k) was for the cost of the coolant, which shows that they put a MASSIVE mark-up on it. This made me realized that they had probably overcharged us for that $800 coolant refill -- which did not fix the problem anyway -- so I wanted to file a complaint and get my money back. But I couldn't because (get this!) THEY DON'T HAVE AN EMAIL ADDRESS. You can only call them. What kind of reputable company doesn't have an email address? I think that tells you everything you need to know about them.

Please do research before using this company. I made the mistake of utilizing their service because…read moreI had an emergency the night before-a leaky hot water pipe. I called the night before and made them aware that a 1/2 hot water line was leaking and that it would need replacing. Access to the problem was an unfinished area of the basement with easy access to pipes. The plumber showed up at 8:30 (on time) took a look at the job, and said he had to go out to get 1/2 pipe. What? You don't have that as stock material on your truck? Okay. Plumber came back an hour later saying he also had to respond to an emergency call. He made said I needed 30 feet of pipe and the job would be $900. I didn't know how long it would take and needed the problem solved. Overall, the plumber did good work, but he only actually performed, maybe, 3 hours labor. I priced out the material he used with a local plumbing supply house....about $80 for material. Later that day I measured the work done.....18' feet of pipe. Here is the issue. The invoice is listed 3 10 foot lengths at $324 EACH. Is this the practice now? You don't list material and hourly wage cost? Basically, a bill for $974. Take away $80 is material you have about $900 for three hours of actual labor. $300 an hour. If that seems reasonable for you, by all means use their service. Pictures posted.

WELL, IF I COULD GIVE A HALF-STAR...that's probably what they deserve. The young guy who came to…read moregive the 'estimate' was pleasant, and seemed to know what he was doing--but the scam is: the 'estimate' is $160, paid upon front ( a broken hose connection on the outside of the house), but the actual repair price was so inflated, I had a difficult choice of: paying the ridiculous repair price ($800 for parts and labor), or just let them keep the $160. Awful. I guess it was learning experience...
