Elite is our 3rd landscaper in the 3 years since we bought this house. After assessing our neighbors' yards, we hired the best landscaper among them--he made us promises and charged accordingly then he abandoned us without even doing the fall cleanup, leaving the yard 3 inches deep in leaves (during wildfire season last fall!), a scraggly mess, all winter. He had the nerve to show up in February saying he'd do it then for the same price. No thanks. But our neighbor across the street--her yard is always immaculate, like a carpet. Let's give Elite a try. We gave them a call and Bryan was quick to respond. We struck a deal, and he performed the "fall" cleanup here in March. It took them almost 3 days to clear the mess out, and I'm sure he took a loss for all the hard work his very pleasant team put in. But the yard looks better than it has looked since we moved in. We have very high hopes for Elite. They seem to *want* to have us as clients which is a nice change from the others who acted like *they* were doing *us* a favor by charging us huge fees for the most basic yard maintenance. It's absolutely clear that our previous landscaper took advantage of my mother. We're from Texas, new to the climate, the foliage and even to taking care of a yard (HOA did it in the old country). We will give you the benefit of the doubt for a little while, but overcharging a widow like the others did is unconscionable.
