Last week, for the first time ever, we ended up with a steak that just wasn't up to their usual standard. Honestly, it's so rare for them that we didn't think much of it, but my husband stopped in today and mentioned it. What happened next is exactly why we keep going back. They didn't just acknowledge it -- they went above and beyond. They replaced it with a free NY strip steak, and on top of that gave us Prime Butcher playing cards and a big bottle of their "Everything" seasoning. Completely unexpected and absolutely appreciated. That kind of customer service is hard to find these days. They didn't have to do any of that, but they did -- and it speaks volumes about who they are. He was beyond friendly & wanted to make sure our questions were answered. The freezers are conveniently labeled so that you can find the products you desire. Love that they bring in various vendors, including Fossil Farms (NJ) but also some local NH products. There are also other products, such as dressings, marinades, seasonings, etc. for sale. The store is small but very clean. Taking a left onto route 4 is a challenge but still worth a visit. The prices are extremely fair! There is also a rewards program where you can get $ off for every so many points. We signed up that very day & already have 58 points. For example, you earn $5 off for 50 points, or $10 for 100 points etc. Worth it to me! Jason said they are currently working on a new location in Epsom at the circle. It will have a different name & more of a butcher shop. He plans to keep The Healthy Buffalo open for another year, depending on inventory & how sales go with the new location.
