This is a little baby u-pick blueberry farm, in Monroe, WA. It's actually right behind Broer's Blueberries, but in a round about way. They don't have lots of parking space and it's a mom & pop operation, so be patient, when visiting. Each pound is $2+ and really easy to pick! Their blueberries are covered in netting materials, because the local chickens also like to eat them and tend to leave EGG-cellent presents. Anywayz, their blueberries are large and you're told which rows, you can pick at. They also offer scheduled appointment times, so just call or pop in.

There were a few results but we decided to come here first and boy did we make the right choice. Directions to here was straight forward and plenty of parking either on their lot or street parking. U-pick started at 9am and we got there around 9:30. There were already about 20-30 families there. We were wondering if there would still be ripe strawberries left since they have been opened the previous 3 days already as well and the lot wasn't very big. But within a short of amount of time, we have got some amazing strawberries! We tasted some and they were so delicious and sweet. Will visit again for sure!!! More than half of the field was covered in weeds to the point where you couldn't find the path between the strawberries. As a result, many of the berries were stepped on and plants trampled. There were some tall prickly weeds that can easily scratch you if you were not careful. While we understand some weeds are expected in an organic farm, but this was way out of control. We had to work really hard at finding good ripe berries amongst the camouflage. It took two adults over an hour to pick 5 lbs. We might try the other organic farm we drove by on the way to Bolles next year. Their field appeared to have been better taken cared of.

Blueberries were $3.50 a pound. There's also a small play structure for kids, free parking, and they also provide baskets and cardboard boxes for blueberry picking. There are a couple downsides. They're actually aren't that many blueberry bushes. There probably are 5 to 6 rows each about 100 yards and length of blueberry bushes and that's it. In the aisles for marionberries (and even blueberries, but to a lesser extent), the ground is overgrown with weeds which makes it hard to walk especially if you have young kids. But I guess that's what happens when the farm is organic. Also we picked 4 1/4 (maybe even 4 1/8) pounds of blueberries and we were charged for 4 1/2 pounds. Not a huge deal given how many blueberries my kids ate while we picked, but would've been nice to be rounded down. The blueberries we picked also were not super sweet, but I think some of the blueberry varieties are a bit sweeter... just call before you go to find out what varietal is available for picking.

A few weeks ago, we had some difficulties placing our orders, thanks largely to (our) old, now defunct email address that we'd somehow forgotten to change. So, we contacted Alaina in C/S and finally got the account updated, but unfortunately it was not in time for our 2nd Box of Goods to be added to our order for delivery on Thursday, our scheduled delivery date. When we we were told we'd have to wait until the following Thursday as the order wasn't updated in time, we were a little disappointed, of course; however, it was really our fault, after all, and besides, Klesick's quality products are definitely worth waiting for. Fast forward a couple days later to Saturday, and as I'm outside sweeping our driveway, a small sedan suddenly pulls up and out pops Alaina with our second Box of Goods, cheerily announcing, "Well, I was going to be in the area today, so we figured we'd get this to you right away". Wow. If extra stars were available, they'd get one right away. Thanks again, Alaina and to the excellent Klesick's team!

I come here regularly to pick up poultry feed and straw bedding, and usually everything's in stock (they had a straw shortage during COVID, but can't really fault them on that). I like that their compressed straw is wrapped in plastic - it's a bit wasteful, but it's cleaner to transport and store at home - it usually takes me a month to go through a whole bale, so it's helpful that it stores dry without me having to build a specific straw shed or something. For heavy/bulky stuff (like straw bales and 50lb bags of feed), they have an open cart, which is nice - so you don't have to load stuff in and out of a normal cart. That's nice. Usually, there are enough cashiers to make things move pretty quickly - usually there are only 1 or 2 people in line ahead of me. I've used their online ordering, and it was... awkward - I had to wait around forever for an associate at the pick up desk... might as well have just shopped normally that time. It did seem like they were short staffed. Overall, Tractor Supply has some specialty items that other stores don't have. However, there are more pleasant places to shop that I tend to prefer to go to (Snohomish & Monroe Co-Op). Outside of commodity stuff (feed, etc), I don't like that they don't sell high quality stuff - it's mostly cheap stuff and maybe some national brands. So, I don't really go here for much - unless they have something I can't find elsewhere.

They have your pumpkin patches and apple orchard for picking. They have your classic corn maze with a hayride to take you to the entrance. They have plenty of animal friends to see and pet. And what kind of fall festivity would it be without foods, such as apple cider, corn, and brisket. The food portions were MASSIVE. I would highly recommend sharing and if you're still hungry, it's an excuse to try more food! The mac n' cheese was our favorite food, and our favorite drink had to be the cider slushy. I love hot apple cider, but their new cider slushy was so refreshing and apple-y. All the prices are reasonable too given how much food you get. For this farm, some activities are completely free if you just want to visit, such as their pumpkin patch, apple orchard, and country store. Otherwise, their weekday price is $15 and $23 on weekends (if you buy online). The caveat is that there are limited activities on weekdays depending on staff availability. I'd recommend going the weekend if you want the full experience, it's totally worth it. Swans Trails Farms is truly the perfect fall activity for everyone, and I haven't even been able to describe everything they have to offer. To find out, you'll just have to experience it yourself! :)

I tried asking the workers, but they didn't have any knowledge about it and then sent me to the front ticket booth. Let me tell you, trying to figure what was going on was a Kafkaesque nightmare. I crashed at least three other gatherings as I was being directed from one place to another. Whoops. Anyways, I finally found my group and we picked apples. I like how they had labels on each row of trees to identify the cultivar. It also turns out that they put a few crabapples in each row for pollination purposes, but they're very obviously not to be picked as the fruits are small. Apples were $3.50/lb, but slightly cheaper if you buy them pre-picked. The fresh apples taste much better than the ones in grocery stores, which can be stored for up to a year in warehouses. I was surprised to find the fresh apples were more crisp with thinner skin! I got a cider doughnut before I left, and it was so soft, tender, and pillowy! There was great apple flavor.
