I see a lot of comments writing about the pumpkin patch, but I don't see anything about the Christmas Tree farm, which definitely deserves more attention. My wife and I were looking for a tree farm, but there were so many to choose from. A lot of farms were either sold out of trees immediately after Thanksgiving or they were really expensive. With our limited options, we chose to support Serres Farm, and I'm very glad we did! I can't praise this farm enough. Though the farm is modest, it has a great selection of various types of trees to pick from. What makes this farm so great is that it's very organized. You walk up to the welcome booth and the staff asks you for the tree size you're interested in. Once you provide the size, you'll then be pointed in the right direction. Each tree comes with a special tag that lets you know the type of tree you're looking at and the tree's cost. Our 6-7 foot tree was $85, but it varies from tree to tree. Go anywhere else and you'll probably pay up to $100 or more and then you'll have to do all the heavy lifting on your own. Speaking of heavy lifting, major props to William and Brady! Those two guys really work hard to provide customers with a wonderful experience. Some of the tree farms I've been to just give you a handsaw and expect you to figure things out on your own. By the end of that experience, you're sweaty, dirty, tired, and probably angry that you didn't come fully prepared. Here, the teams take that burden off of you so that you can enjoy the experience of choosing a tree and the rest of your holiday season. You can either cut down a tree on your own or you can have a staff member do it for you. Once the tree is cut, you then have the option to trim the tree, net the tree, and tie down the tree to your car. Trimming and tying down the tree is of no extra charge, but netting the tree is only $3, so it's totally worth it. All you have to do is show up and the team will take good care of you. Why add extra stress to your holidays by working harder to cut down a tree? Come here and let the team make your life a lot easier. No crazy reservation system, either. Love this cute little farm! Perfect place to take your little ones to pick your own pumpkins. There is no admission fee and seriously no bells and whistles like some farms that have the food carnival type atmosphere. Serres is a pumpkin farm for the season and it's a wonderful activity to take your kids out to trek in the field to pick. The prices for pumpkins are very reasonable. Kids will get muddy so be prepared with boots and a raincoat. There is an area to wash your pumpkins however with only one hose the wait can be quite long. Bring newspaper, boxes and towels for the car and prepare to wash your pumpkins at home. Serres has a corn maze which is $4/person. They also have small tractor ride to pull the little kids and make shift duck games but the real point of the farm is pumpkin picking. Beautiful looking farm. We followed the pumpkin sign and ended here. The train rides are bumpy, short, but really cute and fun for the kiddos. There are a lot of pumpkins to pick in the field but many were moldy. We didn't end up getting any pumpkins. There aren't too many activities besides pumpkin pick and the train. The staff working here aren't too friendly. The guy who drove the train didn't even respond when I greeted him and thanked him for the ride but whatever. I love a family owned and operated pumpkin patch, and cheer and route for the little guy. However, my eight year old determined this pumpkin patch outing was an "epic fail" and despite her dramatic seeming protestations, admittedly, she had a point. Part of the fault is mine, since we had to delay our pumpkin shopping activities until October 25 this year. However, if you are coming here later, and close to the holiday, go elsewhere. This year we had a field of moldy oldies. A sloppy mess of broken and cracked pumpkins. We could not find a single pumpkin worth taking home, so after a visit to the corn maze and some photos in the corn and pumpkin fields among red and orange leaved trees, we headed back in the warm car to the QFC for some non-moldy, structurally sound pumpkins. read more

Great experience here for pumpkin patch. A little smaller than previous farms we've visited but it equates to less crowd, easier parking, and faster process getting our pumpkins and getting out. Most everyone seemed to be masked up and doing their best at social distancing. Family loved the variety of pumpkins and carving went well. read more

My husband and I found this little pumpkin patch online We were visiting Seattle for a brief work trip, and wanted to take our one year old to see some pumpkins. We ubered 30 minutes from downtown, and arrived at 5:15. When we arrived, we saw cones in the drive, and a large closed sign. We were surprised because online it says they are open until 6:30 on Fridays. My husband then walked down to talk to the man we saw at the end of the drive, to see why they closed early. He informed my husband he was not aware of what any of the times said online, but they were closed regardless. For us, it wasn't a far drive from home and it was a beautiful after early in the pumpkin patch season. Farm was cute and I do love that it's a small family operated farm. I thought the pumpkins were well priced but what got me was the $4 tractor ride per child, $4 per child to go through the corn maze. I almost think it would be better for them to just charge a flat fee for it all and have it unlimited by doing hand stamps on the kids. What a perfect farm for a low key pumpkin patch experience! We went early in the season and had our pick of pumpkins. It was a relief to go somewhere that didn't have crazy long lines, jammed parking lots and a surcharge for everything. There's no admission charge, just a few bucks for a duck if you want to do a race, or to ride the farm animal train or do the maze. It's family run, very chill and very low key. This cute family owned farm has all the elements of fall goodness--beautiful scenery complete with towering evergreens and trees full of brilliant red and orange leaves, an easy-to-complete corn maze, a tractor-pulled train perfect for a wide age range of kiddos, an inexpensive duck race, and no entrance fee! Our group of kids from age 2-8 all had a great time. You do get what you pay for: It's a good, inexpensive place to go if you live nearby, but I'm not sure I'd recommend it for others coming from farther away areas. read more

This is a cute little farm tucked away 3 miles east off of Redmond/Fall City road. They have a pumpkin patch in the Fall but my husband and I came here to pick up our Christmas tree. I read about it on the Seattle times, and we wanted a U-cut experience that was close by. They had a good selection of trees and were not crowded. In fact we were the only people in the U-cut section. They had a lot of pre-cut trees under cover which I imagine everyone was there for because it was pouring rain. We paid a little over $40 for a douglas fir. The experience was worth it. I wish they would have had more cups stocked for hot cocoa though, I didn't get any. The staff was very nice however and they helped us tie the tree to the car and offered to help us cut if we needed it. I definitely recommend if you live in the Redmond or Fall City area. read more

We visited last week in search of the perfect jack-o-lantern. We didn't find it, unfortunately, but that's our fault for coming so late in the season. (Pumpkins rot quickly in the damp Western Washington climate.) But we did find some of the most beautiful white pumpkins and gourds that I've ever seen. The kids had a blast in the corn maze, and as we were leaving we got a chance to visit with one of the farmers, who was a really lovely and welcoming individual. Seeing (and smelling, yum!) all the young Christmas trees was a treat as well. We'll be back come December! read more

This place is absolutely perfect. My friends and I went here on a Friday and it wasn't insanely pact with people which was nice. The choices of pumpkins were great and they had a large variety. The corn maze was entertaining and was only $4 per person. My friend and I each bought 2 small-ish pumpkins and decided to pay together and the lice was $2. People go to these places for fun and making memories - the only memories I have from Serres Farm are of horrible customer service. They don't allow pets, they are rude in person and on the phone, and they are not considerate of the customer at all. Call me old fashioned but childhood memories of going to the pumpkin patch and getting the Christmas trees are special and joyous, not something to be poo-pooed upon. Never again will I visit this place; three attempts have been dismal failures. read more

If you live in Sammamish and are looking for a nearby farm to pick pumpkins, then this is your place. Decent size farm, decent prices (28 cents/lb per pumpkin). So these two qualities, I give this farm two stars. Based on our experience today, there's a lot left to be desired. For example, they have lots of pumpkins to choose from, but I counted about (maybe) 15 wheelbarrows to use. When you have loads of people out on a sunny Seattle day like today, you can either wait around to use a wheelbarrow or just lug the pumpkins around. Secondly, the farms needs more direction. For example, we paid for a train ride and then had to wait half an hour until they had enough kids to ride the train. After waiting in the hot sun for fifteen minutes. I asked the staffer at the register when the next train ride and he responded with "When we have enough kids." Either post the times for your train ride, or let parents/caregivers know up front when to expect the train to run. Additionally, hand out tickets and note when you have "enough" kids to ride or tell then where to meet. It's not much fun to keep two kids entertained for a half hour while they wait for their train ride. While I appreciate having a farm nearby, we likely won't be coming back next year as the kids didn't enjoy their time and we didn't enjoy waiting around. read more

If you want pumpkins, this is one of our top places to go on the Eastside. Plenty of parking, things to do for the kids and wheelbarrows to haul your bounty to the car. We always end up buying more gourds and pumpkins than we need because we love this shape or that color. Yesterday's haul was one Cinderella, one Casper, one Fairytale, a couple of big orange and assorted gourds, the wartier the better. I love that this is a working farm and yes, we see smashed pumpkins and have to watch our step. I imagine what's left at the end of the season rots back into the ground and then gets tilled under. I have no problem with it and these people know what they're doing because there are pumpkins galore. But don't wait til right before Halloween. They'll be picked over. To the people who want to bring their dogs, no thanks. I love my dog but this is no place for him. Personally, while I don't mind navigating pumpkin blobs, I would be less than thrilled stepping in dog poop or wondering if a dog peed on my pumpkin.. Some people are great about cleaning up after their pets, others less so. If you want a great place to walk your dog, head to Evans Creek Preserve a couple of miles away. read more

A great way to visit a real family Farm that's right here in town. Their fall Pumpkin set-up is lots of fun with a corn maze, duck races, and a cute little animal train. A lot of fun for young kids. If you want an amusement park experience, plan to spend the whole day (and a lot of money) at Remlinger, but if you want a couple hours of fall fun that doesn't require a big investment of your time and energy, pop over to Serres farm for your pumpkins (or Christmas trees, or Strawberries.) read more
