You can find them at various farmers markets throughout the state, but you can also now find them at the relatively new Woodinville farm. This smaller farm serves as a base of operations for Puget Sound. But it is a working farm, and the Tonnemaker grow many vegetables right here. Cucumbers (when they are in season) are also available as you pick here. The farm stand sells the produce from both Woodinville and Royal City. It's open a couple days of the week in the early season, then moves to a seven day a week schedule as the season progresses. Everything here is fresh and organic--and delicious! And the staff is helpful and friendly. You can't go wrong stopping at this farm and farm stand.

For 2021 they have a CSA and you can pick it up every Saturday at the farm from 10-1 (this is also when the farmstand is open for veggie starts and produce). I chose the Market CSA with eggs (the BEST!) and can select my items each week...so much fun! This week I walked home with pak choi, spearmint (cocktail anyone?!), asparagus, cauliflower, spinach and misome. I was excited about all of it but the misome really intrigued me (asian citrus-y green). My favorite part of 2020 with Skylight Farms was trying produce that was new to me but also finding a new appreciation for old favorites! I found a recipe that really showcased the misome and used mushrooms, onion, and garlic and I was a big fan! I'm very excited for what this season has in store and equally excited to continue to support this amazing family-owned farm! What a huge asset to our community!

But when Alex and his crew came, I was so happy that he kept the UPick element from Root Connection and a lot of the produce was still the same which was wonderful. There were also great additions. The highlight in the summer was definitely the cherry tomatos. They were plentiful and so sweet, I can't go back to any other tomato again! Ecolibrium did so much to accommodate the members and they did amazing for their first run. They even heard our suggestions to switch the layout for pick ups where we can now directly pick from the bins. Kate and Helen are amazing and such a huge help at the front end of the store. They also stock from other local farmers. Their milk and chocolate milk is soooo good. I did the full share for summer and full share for winter. My suggestion for winter would be to decrease the price point and not have a UPick because it was challenging for me while pregnant to pick in the rain and I skipped a lot of UPick opportunities. I recall Root Connection didn't have a UPick either... maybe for the reason of bad weather. I personally might skip the winter share if the price point were the same. I also didn't think there was enough variety for the winter but what was produced was top quality and I never felt the weather had affected the quality of the harvest itself. I might be open to another winter share if there were some adjustments made but still overall a 5 star worthy place! If you're considering a CSA membership, please consider Ecolibrium. It might seem expensive but for the yield of what you're getting and the quality, I think it's worth it! They also produce for local restaurants too like Deru in Kirkland! That's pretty neat to know the things I'm picking are the things that restaurants are also using to serve us too!! Anyways I'm looking forward to another great summer of Upicking and the harvest! Great job Alex, Kate and team. You guys are awesome.

I arrived late, so some stalls were starting to pack up. I counted about three produce stalls. I chose a couple of sweet treats of frosting cookies from "Darlene's Baked Goods"; Darlene was also very nice. I am also looking forward to seeing Port Gardner Crafts in the future. I like their thin wall potteries and hope to find a large size mug in the future. If I am already in the area, it is worth a visit. I would not purposely drive here for the market.

REDMOND SATURDAY MARKET @ REDMOND…read more Parking is available along the street, although it can get busy on weekends. If you are unable to find street parking, Redmond Town Center offers a free parking garage that is only a short walk away, making parking convenient overall. I absolutely love the Redmond Saturday Market. It is one of my favorite places to visit on the weekends. They always have fresh produce with a great selection of fruits and vegetables, along with many local vendors selling handmade jewelry, artwork, baked goods, and other unique products. It is a wonderful place to support small businesses while enjoying the local community. One of my favorite things about Redmond is how walkable the area is. After visiting the market, you can walk around Redmond Town Center, browse the shops, grab something to eat, or simply enjoy the atmosphere. There are also plenty of seating areas throughout the town center, which makes it easy to relax and enjoy your food or take a break. Overall, I highly recommend stopping by the Redmond Saturday Market if you are in the area. It is a great way to spend a weekend morning, support local businesses, and enjoy everything that downtown Redmond has to offer.

Although I thought the market was downtown somewhere, it was a quick drive towards the Sammamish Valley area to get to this market. After putting the market in my GPS, I followed the directions and was taken to a large parking lot area of a church. What's nice is that at the street where you need to turn into the lot, there are signs for the Redmond Saturday Market, so you know you're in the right place. Further down the lot, you'll eventually see the white tents. There's plenty of parking for the market, which is a win. I've been here a few times, and Redmond Saturday Market is one of the few markets on the Eastside that has my favorite cheese, Samish Bay Creamery. Now, I specifically come to the Redmond Saturday Market to get my blocks of gouda and will walk through the market to see what other goodies I can find. But honestly, the fact that they have this particular vendor has me coming back. The market is small, but has a variety of vendors, such as prepared foods, farmers, artisan crafters, etc. There's a covered eating area in the middle of the parking lot, which is nice, especially since we're nearing fall. I'm glad to have checked out what Redmond has to offer and support local.
