He explained that the underbody shield sometimes attaches to the bumper and that if the mounting points are damaged, the bumper can occasionally need replacement. He gave me rough estimates - around $330 if it was just the underbelly piece, and roughly $2,000 combined if the bumper also needed replacement. I appreciated the transparency about the potential range of outcomes. Even though they didn't have the replacement part in stock, Zachary checked with the technicians in the back and had someone come take a look. They ended up patching the panel so it would stop scraping and be safe to drive, and they did the quick fix at no charge. Overall it was a helpful experience. They took a moment to help me out even though it wasn't a full repair job that day, and the staff was straightforward about what the possible repairs might involve.

I wanted to avoid making an insurance claim and figured I'd give J.J. at Dent Viking the first shot at fixing it. My expectations were not high, as the dent was made by a sharp corner of the chair, which created a mini-crater on my otherwise nice car. I was hoping J.J. could make it look better and less noticeable. I got an appointment right away and J.J. told me he could make the hood look almost perfect again. J.J.'s repair exceeded my expectations, by far, and he returned the hood to perfect condition. He's a skilled professional, a very nice guy and I highly recommend his shop for affordable dent repair.
