I was having a problem with oil pressure on my 2013 Chevrolet Silverado 4.8L. I had replaced the…read moreoil pressure sensor myself some time ago, but I was again getting a check engine code about my oil pressure sensor. I took it to Auto Impressions and they replace the oil pressure sensor. about 2-4 weeks later the check engine code for the oil pressure sensor came back. I went and talked to Auto Impressions and we discussed several things that could be causing the code and possible solutions. As they were troubleshooting the issue, they discovered that the problem was the oil filters I was using. I was using a big name brand oil filter, the same brand that I used all my life on all my cars. It was restricting my oil flow. Auto Impressions replaced my oil filter with a Wix brand filter and my oil pressure went up 10-15 psi, back where it should be. Auto Impressions was diligent and honest, They could have tried several of the other measure we discussed to address my oil pressure issue. Instead, they paid attention to the details and found the root cause which turned out to be inexpensive. I won't take my vehicles anywhere else. Thank you Auto Impressions!!

Later,…read moreHaydee M. called to say the aftermarket part they ordered didn't fit, so they would need to order a dealer part, which would take another week to arrive. At no point during that conversation was it mentioned that the cost would increase significantly, yet there was no problem telling me they found another problem that needed fixed. When I went to pick up my car, I was shocked to find the total was over $1,800. That's a major increase that should have been clearly communicated beforehand. If I had been informed, I could have decided whether to move forward with the repair. Instead, I was put in a position where I had no choice but to pay in order to get my car back. On top of that, after looking up the cost of the parts, it appears they mark them up by at least 40%. Proceed with caution. People don't write bad reviews for absolutely no reason.

And, after calling numerous other locations with no luck and rude staff, I called Midas. Amber answered the phone, with nothing more than hospitality in her voice. I asked her about the empty oil drums, and she asked me to hold. I waited less than 20 seconds before she returned with a response. I was told they did have a couple, and was offered them free of charge. Unlike a few other places that want anywhere from $10-30 per drum. When I arrived to pick up the drums, I was greeted immediately. That was a wonderful first impression. I was asked to back up to a bay and the drums were brought out. The gentleman loaded the drums in the back of the truck for me, and wished me a good day. Now, that may not sound like much to some, but as someone who still remembers how customer service standards used to be, I appreciated the hell out of this location. They have a firm grasp on what it takes to stay in business: The customer. I will not even bother with another location for my vehicle needs. This very small interaction with the team members here told me everything I need to know about their business practices. It's absolutely absurd to me that more places don't adopt the Midas way of doing business.
