I had a 2.5 hour drive and was able to negotiate the deal I wanted by phone with Ashley. As I didn't want to waste most of the day if it wasn't gonna happen. we test drove a car and salesman says that's the way brakes are suppose to be and idk anything bout other cars other than fords. 2 weeks later we take car back and service department says we shouldn't have to pay for the brakes but sales wouldn't do that and I've got the run around for two weeks now. Stay clear of this dealership, I purchased a brand Ford Lightning from them and the truck has been in the shop longer than I have had it. The very first night I had the truck, the mirror glass fell out of the housing and shattered on the driveway. I brought it in immediately and ordered the mirror replacement which took about a week to get. Unfortunately they ordered the passenger mirror instead of the drivers side mirror. At the same time they were supposed to to finish the detailing since it was dark and I did not notice how bad a job they did the night before. The detailer did not get my job the day they had it, so they kept it for another day. Later I found out they failed to complete the request recall, forcing me to take yet another trip Now the brand new tire has a defect on the inner sidewall, so with less than 1,000 miles I have to purchase a new tire. The management is not easy to work with, and I have never been so disappointed. My sales guy Chase Weaver apologized but sometimes an apology is not enough when you're buying an $82K vehicle you expect reasonable service. Replacing a defective $300 tire seems reasonable. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere when buying your next vehicle. read more

I highly recommend that if you are considering this dealership for the purchase of a USED vehicle, that you look elsewhere. I purchased one and purchased a bumper to bumper 12 month warranty. In the 53 days since my purchase, the dealership has had the vehicle in their possession for 48 days. I have dropped it off 3 times to get repaired. They have not been willing or able to fix my electrical problems, despite being covered by warranty. In fact, they have only replaced fob batteries and removed an aftermarket product ( which was in the vehicle when they sold it to me). The electrical problems persist. They did offer to but it back from me originally for $6500 less than what I paid for it, and the after MUCH aggravation, re-negotiated to about $2800 less than purchase price, but only if I bought another vehicle from them. About a month ago I wrote my very first ever review (I'm 56 y/o and have felt that reviews are one sided and therefore maybe not reliable, now, I think they can have value)... I believe that review is still available. Anyway, I purchased a used vehicle from this dealership about 2 1/2 months ago and it was immediately (less than 24 hours) evident that electrical problems were present. A significant consideration in buying this used vehicle was that I was reassured by the Johnson City Sales team that the vehicle would be covered under various warranties. This ended up not being the case as Johnson City Ford essentially did everything they could to not fix the issue, day after day, week after week ( totaling about 50+ days). Eventually, I was told that the owner of Johnson City Ford said that if I didn't get the vehicle off his lot, he would have it "impounded ". So the vehicle was sent across the street to a completely different dealership, a warranty claim was opened and approved ( totaling about $1100), and the vehicle was fixed in about 2 weeks with little to no hassle. I STRONGLY recommend you NEVER do business with Johnson City Ford or its parent company. There are several other dealerships on the same street who, at the very least, could not possibly provide worse service! read more

I took my 2019 Fusion to them due to the shifter dial falling into the center console. When I picked up my vehicle on 3/26/2021, they had a service paper in my car stating that the shifter was punched and I was lying about it falling through. David Dral was the service member that had the paper typed. I did not get to deal with them directly. I would not take my huffy to them if they were the only dealership left to fix it. The worst dealership I've ever dealt with, they never repair your vehicle on time they let it sit there for days at a time and don't tell you they don't have parts. They say they've ordered parts then you take your vehicle in for service and then they tell you to be another week before parts come in. I'm going on three weeks and still don't have a tailgate fixed. Stay away from Johnson City Ford, unless you're not in a hurry to get your vehicle back. read more

May be a good place to buy a car, but their service is not! I have used JC Ford for Service for the past 3 years and drive over 7 hours past other Dealers from my home in VA when I visit my Grandkids. Now "Under New Management" I will never come back. I set a service appointment a week ago for oil change and replacing my rear brakes (I bought "lifetime brakes from JC Ford) and specifically asked for a Service Loaner and was told they were available on 1st come 1st served basis. Upon my arrival I was told by Stephen, the Service Advisor there were none available, even though I saw a few parked in the spaces. I asked if he could check with his Manager and he came back with a no. I went inside to see the General Manager, who I was told was on vacation. I then met with my family's salesperson (who has sold 2 vehicles and my Son-in-law WAS considering a $70,000 truck to share my experience. With HUNDREDS of vehicles on the lot, they could have offered me a "test drive" but did not. Never had a problem like this with the past Management....needless to say I will never return for Service and will pay to get my brakes replaced elsewhere and certain my family will also take their business elsewhere. My wife and I were in the process of moving from south east Tennessee to Johnson City when I noticed my check engine light come on our 2013 F150 Ford truck. We drove to Johnson City Ford with the hope that we might be able to find out what made the light come on. Well to my surprise we were welcomed by the service manager Brandon Campbell and service manager Thomas McAllist. After listening to us being caught between two rocks and two hard places (My wife's car was stuck back down in south east Tennessee) they were able to clear some room in one of their maintenance bays to have a quick look. To say the least I was surprised when about an hour and a half later Thom came out and said the vehicle is ready, At first I thought he was joking but the serious look and then a smile on his face said a lot of other things. He advised me that a wire bundle came loose from its holding place and the heat from the turbo did some damage causing the check engine light to come on. He handed me my keys, I paid my bill and was a very happy person on my way out the door. I cant say enough about the service team at Johnson City Ford. In every aspect of the repair process they had the utmost concern and care for the position we were in having to make another trip down south. They didn't make any promises but they did deliver in a big way. Making my vehicle safe again and helping my wife and i out of a bad position. Service department is unprofessional. Came in with a minor install. Was told "Price is $132 an hour and it WILL take one and half hours." They pulled my truck in and done the install and I timed them, 32 mins is all it took and they charged me the whole 1.5 hours of labor!! ($150, not $66 for 32 mins). When I questioned the price, the service manager and associate were rude and unprofessional, saying "Well that's Ford's price, if you have a problem with that, you need to call corp." I called another Ford dealership and was told their labor price $120 an hour!!! If it's Ford "set" price, why are two local dealerships prices different? How can they charge for time not actually working on a vehicle? They are overcharging everyone! I will NOT take my brand new truck back there again! Boycott Johnson City Ford!! read more

I want to say first I did not purchase a vehicle from JC Ford. I have a fleet vehicle provided by my company. This vehicle has had several recalls that were due when I received. My first experience was terrible. The part was on back order, taking eight weeks. This was a Ford issue, not the dealer. However, the issue with the dealer was communication. I called weekly to check status of my repair, with only two return calls. It came up a point that I refused to leave messages, holding for up to 35 minutes on one call in particular. The other calls took no less than 10-20 minutes each. When I was finally told he part was in I scheduled an appointment to pick up. When I arrived I was informed no one notified service the part was in so it couldn't be picked up. I travel for work. This error caused me to miss two days of my job. I was told my advisor had quit, but she actually quit two weeks before this incident. This is more than frustrating. The gentleman I worked with was polite about the issue, but this was still an issue. In addition to the issues with service, the "lounge" was shocking. There is no formal lounge to allow guests to feel comfortable, simply chairs in a dingy room with a TV that can only be viewed from four chairs. I've never dealt with a dealership with these accommodations. I'm accustomed to an area that provides work spaces, comfortable chairs, tables, refreshments, and WiFi. This is very important, as often guests will wait hours for service. Being able to work, or simply entertain yourself, should be a standard offering. JC Ford needs to take lessons from their competition on guest services. It's not all about the sale. Seeing service issues, I would hesitate to purchase a vehicle from this dealership. read more

They're honest, easy to work with, nice, professional, go out of their way to find you what you are looking for, and they do try to offer you the best deal. We have had the WORSE service from this place. We have bought 4 vehicles from them. The last one being a 2018 Lincoln Navigator. We took it there for a noise, it took them over 3 months to get it right. We were told we were going to get a car payment back...nothing. We were told they were going to fix some scratches in it make up for the time they had it...nothing. We were told we were going to get a $100.00 referral for recommending a family memember to go up and buy a new truck...nothing. I get fee oil changes so I took my 2018 Lincoln Navigator up there to have the oil change....they got that right, however, I have a break light out in the back. They ordered a new one because it's LED so the whole thing has to be replaced. This was in November. I thought hmmm I should call to see if the part is in....GUESS WHAT??? NEVER ORDERED.......never again will this place ever get our business again. I am beyond unhappy. Sad place and horrible management. Johnson City Ford has one of the worst Service Departments I have ever encountered. I have had at least three vehicles there in the past few months. They never call when they are supposed to. Never know what is going on with the vehicle when they have it. I was just on hold for seven minutes and still did not get an answer to the status of my vehicle which they were supposed to contact me about. The only reason I take company vehicles there is if it is for a recall and then maybe not even then. I have had had a recall issue since July 2016. About three weeks ago they finally had the part in stock but I could not get the Service Department employee to return my call to confirm an appointment and how long the recall repair would take. I had scheduled an appointment for Friday at 8 a.m. to have a recall done on my van and was told that it would go right in but they did not look at it until Monday and then told me that I had another problem with my vehicle and dealership never got to the recall done.I didn't ask them to do the diagnostic test that was performed on my vehicle already had it taken care of at another dealership they wanted to charge me $100 for their diagnostic test. In my opinion this is the worst service department I have ever dealt with. I would not recommend it to anybody drive the extra miles and go somewhere else. read more

I had a terrible experience with this dealership. My truck was purchased from the dealership 5 months ago. The second day I had it I was on vacation and the turbo charger went out (its an ecoboost). Well that was covered and taken care of by the warranty. Two months later the Advance Trac system light came on(which meant loss of steering, air bags, and turn indicators). I proceeded to take it to the dealership where they told me my truck would need a whole new steering column which is around $2,000. I was told it wasn't covered under the warranty and that I would have to pay that out of pocket, they then proceeded to tell me I could purchase a warranty for $2,000 and that, that would take care of the steering column. They wrote everything up on a sheet of paper, I returned to get my truck fixed two days later and when I went to make a payment on the warranty to get it instated they told me the warranty they had promised was no good. That specific warranty had to be purchased at the time when the truck was new! They then proceeded to try to sell me a warranty that was less than the other warranty offered, that was in writing from the dealership, but wouldn't promise that my steering column would be covered under the said warranty. They then told me to take my truck and kindly leave. So I returned home and called Ford Cooperate, they told me to take to a dealership of my choice (Mike Brown Ford Subaru) where the truck was looked at, and lo and behold I didn't need a steering column. I was a sensor, and that my truck WAS COVERED UNDER A WARRANTY THAT THE TRUCK ALREADY HAD that I knew nothing about!!! They showed a total disregard for customer service and trying to make things right and help me out. When I whole heartedly trusted this dealership with my hard earned money. But they also showed a total disregard for my safety as well as my family as I said earlier the sensor that was bad controlled power steering, air bags, and turn indicators (mind you none of that worked). All they care about is getting your money and to hell with you after words!!! So needless to say I wouldn't purchase a piece of bubble gum from this dealership. But I recommend that you go somewhere else unless you like being lied to and have copious amounts of money to spend on your vehicle. So Johnson City Ford get your money and reimbursement money from Ford!!!! So stay away from this dealership and probably this whole auto group!!!! Sincerely, One pissed customer. read more
