First time at Carroll's and I'm definitely going back. They did my front and back brakes. Good work at a fair price

My next door neighbor has been using Precision Tune for years so when my check engine light started…read moreblinking which is an ominous sign I did not hesitate to bring my ailing car there. I did look up the potential problem on my phone so I was at least educated on what I might expect. Based on that I called first and was greeted by a very knowledgeable and courteous tech. I asked and was told they could fit me right in for a diagnosis and estimate. I am like most people in that I feel I have been way over charged for parts, labor or work that was not needed by Car Service businesses. I am happy to say that from the first contact, through the diagnosis and repair I felt like i was treated by a caring car repair business and that is rare indeed. I can confidently say that man or women I feel like you will be treated with respect and get a quality repair at a fair price. It turned out that my diagnosis was to replace an ignition coil which is what caused my flashing check engine light and for my car to lose power. With engines nowadays I do feel for mechanics as there is not allot of room to work and for some parts the labor is quite high as it is very hard to replace even some simple parts. I was lucky as the ignition coil was at the front of the engine not buried at the back under the intake manifold which would have been 3x's more expensive to fix just based on labor cost. Precision Tune uses standard repair labor hours for repairs with their labor rate which is much lower then dealers rates. My repair came to $255 which is not bad considering the part was $105 alone. I was kept in the loop through the whole process and was not up sold on other maintenance work which so often shops do. I feel this is a major advantage to Precision Tune - my neighbor said the same thing and I have not seen any reviews that state otherwise so this is a huge positive in my book. The oil change fees are quite reasonable as is the radiator flush. Thus I would recommend them for all basic maintenance and will be using them for those myself. I was very close to giving Precision Tune 5 stars but one single fee stopped me from doing so. They do not deduct the diagnosis fee from the bill. In my case it was $79 and I know it did not take an hour to figure out was was wrong. It should be standard practice to at least deduct part of that fee if it is an easy to diagnose problem. One thing they do honor is a 10% discount coupon from Yelp which helped take the sting out. So almost 5 stars and I have no problem telling all my friends this is a good place to go for most common engine and car related repairs. Bravo to you on your great customer service and value!! As I used Precision Tune more I will update this review and potentially upgrade my rating to the full 5 stars as it I was very close to giving them this time.

They are always busy, that's a good thing, so busy in fact that they don't have the need to lie to…read moreyou about service you don't need like other auto places. I Had an ac issue, Firestone on roan said it would be some crack inside the blah blah blah and would have to completely remove the dash, without even looking at it they were already estimating $1200. Precision actually looked at the problem and determined it was a very simple fix the schrader valves needed replacing, cost about 40 bucks. Their wild success keeps them honest. The quality of the work they've done has been great also. This is my go-to mechanic I've had several issues fixed on my truck here. Good prices good service and honest! Cannot ask for a better auto shop. One down side is you will need an appointment and sometimes can be over a weeks wait. Once they held my truck for 5 days because of how busy they were, but they did go above and beyond fixing the fuel tank/sensor....issue. I Highly recommend this place.
