A honest review, the crabby repair man walked into our home, told my husband to put on a mask, spent 10 seconds diagnosing our dryer, told my husband to buy a new washer & charged us $90. He spent more time writing down the credit card number than providing any customer service, any help. I'm guessing that is how they make their money these days, without young employees & parts back ordered. He wasn't wrong, we did need a new washer. I called for repair to my dryer. Set up an appt never showed that day, 2 weeks later still nothing.

I had a very good experience with Johnson Appliance service. I left a voicemail and they responded by the end of the day. I provided them with the serial number and model number of my cooktop and they ordered the part. They called me when the part was in, and we set up an appointment. I was first call, so they arrived nice and early in the morning. When he came, the repair man, Aubrey, was very professional and nice. The repair was done, and we now have a very nice working cooktop. I would recommend them. You just have to be a little patient with their phone system. read more

Once again I had to deal with Johnson Appliance. They were the only Fisher Paykal service company that I could find. Made an appointment for 8/18/20. NO SHOW NO CALL . This is not the first time I have had to deal with this company and I dread it every time. DO NOT GO HERE!!! The absolute worst customer service. No invoice/no return phone call/charged credit card without our permission. This place a fraudulent in their business actions. Called for service for a new heating element on a dryer. We agreed on the price and was charged by credit card. When they repaired the heating element; they said the door on the dryer wasn't working right and said they would come back to get this fixed. The door issue did not effect how the dryer worked. We told them we didn't want anything else fixed unless we were called and told ahead of time of the price and then would approve it (This is a rental property to we are not physically in this town). They took it upon themselves to fix the dryer door and charge us over $200 on the credit card used for the first service without our permission Dwhich we did not authorize the fix or the charge. Never talked to anyone after the heating element was fixed. Called the office and they run you around like they are some big corporate office when these office people sit 6 feet away from each other (been in the store). Never received any invoice of parts used or hours worked on either issue. They will are absolutely horrible to work with. I wish I would of looked at other yelp reviews before we dealt with them. We recently bought a new washer and dryer from a local dealer and when it was installed, the dryer didn't work. Needless to say, we were not happy. The appliance store alerted Johnson Appliance Service, and Linda (the technician) came out the same day -- on a Friday night, no less -- to check it out. She identified the problem, ordered the part on Saturday morning, and came back to install the part the following Monday night, after hours again. I have never met a more able and courteous appliance repair person! With four adults in our household we do lots of laundry....All is well in our world now that both machines are up and running properly. I have to decide if I am just going to just buy another appliance or have to deal with this dysfunctional "repair" store. Unfortunately, we bought a Thermidor brand thinking that it would last, and Johnson Appliance is the only place that repairs them in the area. Believe me, I would rather go ANYWHERE else. I shudder every time I am forced t go there. The freezer died on a Wednesday and I called and had to leave a message on Thursday and waited until Tuesday to call again to ask when they were going to return my call about a coming out. A repair man came out the following Monday and said he would get back to us the next day. Today, Friday, we had to call them, to be told they are trying to figure out what part it needs, and they will get back with us. I'm not holding my breath. This is not my first experience with their absolute incompetence. We had a microwave that when the repairman came with the replacement part, blew the circuit and fried the mother board because it was not the right part. They then took the microwave to their shop and had it SO Long that we had to leave for Arizona for the winter, and then could not find it when we came back.I dread having to call them with every fiber of my being. read more

I waited all day for an appliance repair technician who never showed up or called. I had made the appointment online with manufacturer, received confirmation, AND contacted Johnson Appliance Srvc by telephone. When I called about the no-show I was told that there was no record of the service appointment (for which I had email confirmation) & someone would call back. No call, so I called again the following day and was told someone would call back. Hours later, no call. I cannot understand how this business continues to operate! Customers miss work & then must reschedule?? I need new appliances, but will not purchase them from Johnson Mertz since the service is worse than poor. I am appalled. read more

We purchased a home August 1, 2019 and part of our agreement included having the Heartland gas stove/oven repaired. Prior to the closing, the sellers had Johnson Appliance come out; they deemed there was not an issue, charged the sellers and left. After moving in and our sale now complete, we found the complaint that should have been addressed still existed. Today is September 27, 2019 and as of today, my husband and I both have made several calls to request service, follow-up, and attempt to get this repaired without ZERO responses. We've written a few emails as well hoping to have a manager or someone call - radio silence. Their customer service has been non-existent, extremely disappointed and now forced to find an appliance repair service out of the area as unfortunately this is the only repair company in the Twin Ports that is listed as a Heartland Stove authorized company. read more

We had our side by side refrigerator/freezer repaired. The original estimate was $200 so we thought we'd go with the repair rather than replace. When the work was complete we received the final bill for $490. We were not happy that we were not informed about the increased price prior to the work being completed, and would not have spent that much on a repair. Regardless the refrigerator "repair" ended up breaking our freezer. They came back and told us that we would need to replace the unit and they were going to take back their new parts and give us a partial refund. Later that evening they came back and tried fixing one last thing (a wire that should not have been cut by them) and that sort of make the freezer start working again. The freezer got cold, but overall the motor was always running very loudly and the water/ice dispenser was now broken to a point where the freezer was filling with ice along the walls and in the door. We tried repeatedly via phone and email to get a response from Johnson Appliance and they have refused to discuss the overall issue with us. We ended up buying new unit a few months after this extremely expensive "fix". We will never go with their services again as they are not accountable for their work. read more
