The manager and owner acknowledge their repairman is arrogant and rude. They also have full knowledge the repairman misdiagnosed my washer, recommending me to purchase a new washer due to $600+ repair. I replaced the common part that caused my issue in 30 minutes for less than $15. No refund of diagnostic charges or apologies. just excuses. It's really time for them to close up shop. After giving the repairman $84.95 and told our Liebherr refrigerator needed a new sensor for the freezer and that would cost $495.00, I never heard back. I called every single day after a couple of weeks and was told they were waiting for tracking on the part. I gave up after 5 weeks, called Liebherr's "after sales service" and was guided thru fixing my freezer, using my cell phone as a camera, amazing! It did not need a sensor. They don't deserve even one star, and I do not recommend them. Worst customer service I have ever experienced, and they do not appear to be competent in repairs. We purchased a home 10 months ago and the dryer broke just before closing. The former owner tried to get it repaired but a part needed to be ordered, so we inherited this issue when we closed on the home. Ten months later, they still do not have it repaired. In addition, during the last time they tried to fix it, they decided to take it with them. They do not return phone calls, and when we are fortunate enough to talk with someone they say they will provide an update but never do. read more

While SALES is ok and I got a fair deal...The SERVICE IS BAD. The do not SERVICE what they sell...They do not INSTALL what they sell...They do not TIMELY schedule Service to your needs. LONG WAITING for a service person is required. The Install crew call me on an ARIZONA cell phone #. They said that was PERSONAL INFORMATION when I asked if they were Contracted IRS form 1099 employees. I asked if they were BONDED and they replied,"what is that". I have had personal property stolen and break-ins to my garage and shed. I am concerned who is send to represent a company. I am leery of WET BACKS and TRANCIENT workers. I had purchased a whirlpool range at Menards. Within 90 days the range stopped working with an error code flashing. It was still under warranty so I called Menards, they directed me to Whirlpool. Whirlpool in turn called a local service provider (Johnson Service) and stated a time range for the next day and to expect a call. The call never came so I called Johnson Service and they didn't have a call logged. Similar issues as can be seen in other reviews. A week later a service tech came out... looked at the power cord... stated it was the power cord and the installers fault. The tech also stated that Whirlpool wouldn't cover this under the warranty without calling. The tech was extremely rude during the entire engagement. Very accusatory for some reason. The next day I received a $250 quote that wouldn't be covered by the warranty. I went to Menards and they checked with Whirlpool... no service call had been entered by the tech. I talked with another local service provider ... the part was $20 and it was covered by the warranty..... This was as close to a scam as I have seen for a while (get me to pay $250 for services that was already covered).... my advice is FIND ANOTHER SERVICE PROVIDER EVEN WHEN A MANUFACTORER POINTS TO THIS ONE.... read more

The person who fixed my appliance was extremely rude. He implied that I had done something to the machine (turned on a setting) and I had no idea how to even do it. It required the use of two fingers or two hands, and my fingers have had so many surgeries that they couldn't even do it if I wanted to. When I called to complain about his attitude I asked the very nice person who answered to please have the manager or owner contact me. Three calls later, and the manager/owner has yet to contact me. this is my second go around with this company. I had purchase a refrigerator from menards and it stopped cooling property. whirlpool said they would repair it and not charge me as I hadn't had it very long. they were awesome. however, I cannot say the same for johnsons. I don't know how they stay in business as they never call anyone back! the repair went fine but now it's doing the same thing. called on Monday and said they would call back the next day. no call. called on Thursday and was assured I would get called back that day. no call. called again Friday and am supposed to get called again. wtf???? I waited all day for appliance service I had scheduled both online with manufacturer AND a phone call to Johnson Appliance Service. When I called to report the no-show I was told that there was no record of the appointment, despite the fact that I had the e-mail confirmation in front of me. I was told someone would call back. The following day I had still not received a call back. When I called again I was again told someone would call back. No call. How does this business continue to operate?? Service is a misnomer. They advertise quick and efficient service in a large service area. First they said it would be at least three weeks before they would come, then someone else said they wouldn't service the area. An intervention from Johnson Mertz Appliances where we bought our GE Monogram refrigerator, got them to come. Like a previous reviewer, they came hours after the scheduled appointment. Parts were to be ordered, no one kept us informed of the status of that order. I made multiple calls to them. Over six weeks later, prompted by a call from me, I was informed that some tubing was unavailable and they would not fix my refrigerator. I purchased an extended warranty plan for my washer/dryer I purchased from Best Buy. I spoke with a person in the Geek squad dept. to schedule a needed repair. I was told a person would contact me as to whether they would be coming in the morning or afternoon of the date they gave me. The morning of I waited for a phone call. At 10:15 am of the scheduled date I still had not heard anything so I called the Geek Squad to find out who they had contracted with to do the repair. I was told Johnsons Mertz Appliance in Duluth, MN. I called them and was told that they were not coming out that unless they called me personally to schedule the date they had no intention of coming on the date that Geek Squad had scheduled with me. I asked how would I of known this! Long story short It took numerous frustrating phone calls to Johnsons Mertz Appliance and calls to the Geek Squad to set up another date for repair. Unfortunately, by then, "Colleen" representing Johnsons Mertz Appliance conversation with me was very rude to say the least! All I wanted was a date to get my machine repaired and one that they would actually show up at! (Very frustrating to rearrange your schedule and then no one has the courtesy to even call!!) I did find out that how it is suppose to work is - the Geek Squad schedules and calls the business then they in turn are suppose to call and verify whether this date works with them and the customer. In my case because I was outside of the mileage area they (Johnson's) needed permission from the warranty company to go outside of the allowable mileage. Unfortunately Johnson Mertz Appliance dropped the ball and did not call us! According to "Colleen" everyone else was the problem even after she stated the repair order was set aside and not addressed. Not even an apology!! Needless to say I called the "Special Forces Geek Squad" and asked for a different company to service our washer! I will never purchase a product in any of their stores they own which includes Prime Appliance Factory Outlet or FJS Distributors! read more
