Went in for a catalytic converter issue to have them replaced when I got the truck back there was an air noise coming from underneath the passenger side, where the catalytic converters are. Went back to automotive two different times and they could not fix the problem.. This is on top of the fact after the first time I was there one of the mechanics backed my truck out of the garage and into a dumpster denting the back bumper. The owner after three times they could not fix the work that they did. that was $2800.

In February, we decided it was time to open it, and half way through it wouldn't go any further. It wouldn't close or open any further. We called 41 Seven Off Road and were told by Jimmy to call the manufacturer. We called them and were on the phone for an hour and finally they sent us to an authorized dealer. Both the manufacturer and authorized dealer said the top was installed improperly. Manufacturer will not cover warranty and 41Seven Off-road says it's not their fault. And we are stuck with a top that doesn't work...and out $3000. Now you know why I gave them a one. 04/14/2025. Issue has been resolved.

Any time I complain about my car I start with "since I sent the car to BJs" they caused thousands…read moreof dollars in extra cost to me and in the end were not even capable of fixing the car. They released the car to me several times without fixing mechanical issues (they released it several times with a broken axel, several times with a broken AC hose and once after they drained my coolant without refilling it) even after me complaining and bringing the car back, they never had the ability to identify or fix these issues. I had to do repairs out of my own pocket and time in addition to a trip to a better mechanic. I wasn't able to return my insurance provided rental car on time and this caused an extra bill. I would recommend steering clear of BJs.

That's a lot of time. Please don't trust your car to one of the chains. The price tag and "quick turn around" might seem great, but I promise you, you will end up getting burned. Our cars run so well (one of them is going on 19 years in 2026! Crazy!), and I know the whole staff at Centerville is always looking out for our family and not upselling every five seconds. And honestly, the turn around has always blown my mind at CSC. This parking lot is ALWAYS full, and our cars are ALWAYS ready on time (We call ahead for appointments. I recommend doing the same).

This was the first and last time I take any of my cars to Best One. Bait & Switch !…read more I called Best One to see if they could do an alignment on my on my '08 Range Rover. They said yes, I was quoted $80, and the person on the phone looked up the model and told me it had electronic steering but that wouldn't affect the cost. When the alignment was completed, I was told the bill was $120. 50% MORE THAN THE QUOTE! When I said I was quoted $80, he said my vehicle has electronic steering so that's more. When I said "you guys knew that when you quoted me a price", he said "'well '08 was a transition year" and not all had that steering. That's simply not true (they obviously don't know Land Rover/Range Rover), as all '08 Range Rovers have the same steering system......... and the electronics only affect how easy it is to turn the wheel at different speeds. It has nothing to do with setting the alignment which is purely a mechanical function. Beware of Best One's business practices.

Erich took the time to listen to my nasty noises and troubleshoot with me at no profit to him. A few weeks later, my friend still couldn't get the tranny fixed and I decided it was time to take my car out of my friend's garage and in to Schmidt. Erich explained my problems and showed me the cause of the malfunction. Furthermore, he spent time with me and explained what I can do at home should the problem reoccur. This week, the culprit reared its head again. I tempted my hand at tending to the tranny, but was having trouble. I went to Erich and he gave me the tool I needed to finish the job! If you can find a mechanic that will show you what you need to do to maintain your tranny at home and then give you the tools to do it yourself, then I think you've found a winner. The garage appears well maintained. Schmidt is personable and professional. He made me feel respected (unlike those condescending mechanics). Schmidt Auto will be getting my future business without a doubt. PS Yelp has the address wrong. It's 8817 W Central Ave, Springboro 45066. If it weren't for the tire shop, I never would have found this place!
