I had an appointment scheduled but was surprised by how high the co-pay was, so I called to see if I could change it to a regular consultation instead of doing the ultrasound. That's when things got really weird. The woman I spoke to sounded annoyed right away and told me I could still see the doctor, but if I changed my appointment, I wouldn't be allowed to talk to them about any of my concerns. No explanation, no medical reasoning just a flat-out refusal. I don't know about anyone else, but every time I've gone to the doctor, I've been able to talk to them about what's going on, and they recommend tests based on that conversation. Apparently, that's not how this place works. They just want you to come in, run a bunch of tests, and move on no actual discussion about your health. When I tried to push back and explain why that didn't make sense, the woman kept talking over me, cutting me off, and acting like I was the problem for even asking. I asked to speak to a manager, and instead of transferring me to someone who could actually help, she sent me to a coworker instead. When I finally got to the manager, she acted like I was making a big deal out of nothing and told me they'd have to "investigate" before addressing it. At that point, I just canceled my appointment because I couldn't trust this office to actually care about my health. I've never been to a doctor's office where they tell you can see the doctor, but you can't talk to them about your concerns. Seriously?? That is NOT how medical care is supposed to work. If you want to be listened to and actually treated like a patient, not just a number for insurance billing, I'd suggest looking somewhere else. I have never had to pay out of pocket for a well women's exam, including routine testing and discussing any concerns. Very questionable billing practices. I experienced long wait times, including waiting for Dr. Roy to come into the room, waiting for her to come back into the room to conduct the actual exam after she left following an initial discussion, as well as waiting for my labs to be drawn. The office also has loud music playing all throughout the office. Some of the staff have a cold demeanor. Not to mention the poor communication. Trying to get in contact via phone is impossible. It took nearly one week to actually speak to someone and get an answer to my billing concern. My overall experience was not the best and I would not recommend.

I highly recommend her! Her nurse assistant is really great too! They are good at returning your phone calls and the Dr calls herself if its important as well. Post-op visit rules: The only issue I had was I was told by the Dr. that I could come back for my post-op after I came back to town (instead of 6 week post op, I would be back during my 9 weeks) No problem. When I did return 2.5 weeks after my supposed to be post-op, and scheduled an appt, I was told by the front staff I could not be seen because my insurance would not cover past 6 weeks. This did frustrate me as I was not made aware about this at all.( A phone call to let me know would have helped). I let the front desk know Dr. C had told me it would be fine if I came back after my 6 weeks. However, they still said the Dr. can't see you. To just come during your 1 year wellness and she will check then. I then told them I could have had myself checked by another doctor but waited till I got back for no reason. They replied saying no doctor would see me. So I did not receive a 6 week post-op check during that time to make sure I was OK. Insurance: Another issue is that I have United Health Care and apparently it costs me more to see Dr. Corovessis $60 copay vs me seeing the other doctor in the office $30 copay. This makes no sense to me as they work in the same practice. Apparently the other Dr. is part of Tier 1 under my insurance but Dr. C is not? Billing Dept: I had also overpaid for my delivery to the office. They had us pay ahead of time and told us we would get the money back. It took them 1 month after my insurance paid to reverse my charges. And only when I called twice to get the money. No courtesy call letting me know I should get my money back. As much as I loved the practice and the Dr. unfortunately I will be looking for another Dr. that is under Tier 1 for my insurance. Like I said, despite the issues I have had, the doctor and the nurse are really good at what they do. They are very caring and cordial. Maybe I will return if I have another kid but for now, I need to look at the office visit cost as well as go where people know the insurance rules and make me aware of it ahead of time. Every time I have needed her, she has been there (either in her office or when I needed to go to the hospital due to an emergency). The wait on her office is on average 30 mins. no more. And now that Dr. Bliss is there, it's consistently never beyond that. With my second baby, she saved MY life because I wouldn't stop bleeding. With my youngest baby, she saved HIS life. I had a condition that extremely rare and was life threatening for the baby and she caught it really early. All my pregnancies have been high risk and she recommended a medicine (Makena) that my insurance denied but her staff made a case and went back and forth with my insurance and they ended up paying almost all of it (I ended up paying $20 per inyection). For my surgery, Dr Lin's office (Yesenia specifically) did all the paper work with my insurance, even when they claimed a certain portion of it wasn't covered. I have known the 2 ladies in the front desk for years. One of them used to work at my sons' pediatrician's office. They are super nice and helpful. Her PA's and RN's are always there for any questions you may have, even for the small issues (like, can I take Niacin while breastfeeding). When you call, you'll leave a message and they will call you back to answer all your questions. And if it is an emergency, you will be helped immediately. I totally recommend Dr Lin. Very knowledgeable and wise. Excellent human being. Centered. focused. And very due diligent. Super recommended. The bad reviews I've read have been related to medical bills and the lady at the front desk. The latter, I completely disagree. She is super sweet to me. And the former, I really think it is the medical system and the insurance companies' shenanigans. The insurance will do anything to pay the least amount. That's how they make they can stay in business. The Dr's office (and on that matter I think ANY DR's office) is on the same trap. They have their hands tied on this one.
