After reading a few negative reviews, I must admit that I was skeptical about my appointment. I arrived just on time. The ladies at the front desk were very friendly. The receptionist checked me in, gave me my paperwork and a cup for a urine sample. She said, if you can and need to go, please give a urine sample. I didn't know that they were going to ask for that, so I didn't need to go. At no time did they make me feel like it was something that I HAD to do. As soon as the receptionist made a copy of my DL and insurance card, she pointed me to the waiting room to have a seat, fill out my paperwork and wait to be called. I didn't even have time to complete my paperwork before I was called back. So, the waiting time wasn't very long at all. An assistant called me to a side room to collect my medical history and add my history to the computer. She also took my vitals, height and weight. She was also very nice. After she finished she escorted me to an exam room and told me that the doctor would be in soon. I'm used to waiting some time before the doctor arrives, but it wasn't that long at all. Dr. Itai Ronan was very nice and took the time to actually listen to my concerns. He asked the right questions, and I felt like he truly cared about giving me the best care possible. He recommend a medication that I didnt even think about, that may actually be better for me in the long run. We agreed to take it for a couple of months to see if it'll be the right fit. The whole experience was great! One of the best doctor visits I've had in awhile. The staff was super friendly, from the front office all the way to the person that drew my blood for my labs. The doctor was top notch, and the office was welcoming, comfortable and clean. What more could you ask for? I'm super happy that I decided to not cancel my appointment and give them a shot. I saw Dr. Itai Ronen, (the son,) for the first time today. He was very kind and comfortable to be around. I have seen my fair share of Gynecologist over the years, men and women, and tend to prefer a woman, but I could not get in to see my most recent gyno (at a different practice, ) and my insurance will be changing at the end of the week....so I needed to get in quickly. I was able to schedule this appointment within days... and I advised my 21 year-old daughter to try to make an appointment as well (before insurance changes.) She was also able to get an appointment within days. I was very impressed as I called multiple offices throughout Houston and could not get a sooner appointment with anyone else. The front desk receptionist could have been a little friendlier, but overall I was happy with the entire process. I was in and out, including bloodwork, and a full exam in just over an hour. Dr. Ronen and his son (Itai) seem very level-headed and knowledgable in my experience(s) with them. However, he has a few office staff that "aren't a good fit" and need either better training on interacting with people or they need to be replaced. Chiefly, the nursing assistant of color that takes blood pressure/weight has a HORRIBLE attitude towards me every time I visit and the minion that comes into the room with them (I'm assuming they're making notes in addition to his in case he misses something) is extremely rude when you ask her whether or not something she is recommending is covered by insurance. I don't recommend this office due to a lack of transparency and poor communication about pricing. I visited in July as an uninsured patient and made it clear to the staff before and during my appointment that I was paying out of pocket. I paid a flat fee for the visit, which was a financial sacrifice, and was never told about any potential additional costs. One month later (August), I was billed over $100 from the labs, but I didn't see this bill until September because I was out of town and didn't receive my mail. While I can understand that lab work may come with a separate cost, I was very disappointed that the office never informed me about this possibility before, during, or after my appointment. It feels like a lack of transparency, especially considering I'm uninsured, and it would have been helpful to know in advance. I contacted the office about the bill, and they called me back stating that the nurse should have communicated the possibility of additional charges, but she is no longer with them. Their response is not helpful and does not make it right. Now I'm stuck with an overdue bill due to their lack of communication. I was not happy with the service back in May. I was given a medicine that caused a reaction. I wasn't upset at first. My issue was when I needed to know what was happening to me. I called, no answer. Left messages, nothing. Finally got a call back Tuesday and was able to go in. The doctor was nowhere to be found and his son saw me. He ran some tests and a week later I still had no answers. I called and eventually a very rude nurse called me to tell me everything was negative.. negative to what!!? I thought you were trying to see what was wrong with me due to the medicine Dr Ronen gave me!? She had no answers. Doctor eventually called me after giving him negative feedback in an email. I told him my issue and I decided to just move on and never go back nor bother reviewing them. Four months later I get a surprise bill from the second visit, when they were trying to find out why the medicine gave me a reaction. The visit I never even got an answer about. Bottom line, I eventually went to my own doctor who discovered I was actually allergic to the medication and treated me to get my swollen glands back to normal. In September, When I called regarding the bill, I tried to explain that I wasn't treated and shouldn't have a second bill. I had to pay MY doctor to test and treat me correctly. However Janice would have non of it and hung up on me. I called back like 4 times and finally someone picked up and I was able to pay my bill. This was a horrible experience and I'll never go back to those people. I paid the bill with the hope to never hear from them again. Good luck if you decide to try them. I cannot hate a medical place of practice more than here. Condescending staff, and I never feel comfortable around Dr. Pinky. Some experiences: -was told as a needle was entering my v*gina that "Oh I wouldn't know" by Dr. Pinky -Person drawing my blood asked if I was Republican or stupid... like why are we discussing this, this is so uncomfortable and unprofessional -continually prescribed me birth control I was ALLERGIC to, had to fix it 3 months in a row -When prescribed birth control I was given no explanation on how important timing was or any birth control side effects -I was told I didn't need a pap-smear until I was 21 and they did one when I was 17 and I asked why and Dr. Pinky just said "we're just gonna do one" and I expressed I didn't want one yet, but they went ahead (i'm naked waist down laying down, what am I suppose to do). I just want an explanation on what's happening to my body. -I was asked to wait after an appointment and I sat for 30 minutes, JUST FOR DR PINKY TO SHOW ME HIS ART? It was so uncomfortable being a 17 year old girl standing in his office looking at his art and having to talk instead of just going home. The fact is I could go on forever. Dr. Ronen is the kind of doctor who know how to calm my wife, who can get worked up easily. He's able to make sure she feels calm, understands how to speak to her. I have little trust for doctors generally, but I trust Ronen whole-heartedly. Dr Ronen is awesome and once you're in the office, it's a great experience. However, the office is nearly impossible to get in touch with. Out of all the times I've needed to call, I've had someone pick up just once. You have to leave a message every time and wait hours, or even days for a call back. I feel like this is unacceptable for a doctor you may need to get in touch with quickly. They're also very slow to deliver lab results, so you're left worried and anxious. Dr. Ronen is a very patient physician who will take the time to answer all your questions in person. If you have a question or concern that is addressed by phone then don't expect an immediate reply. My pcp prescribed a new medication and I just wanted to clear it with Dr Ronen and it took two weeks for the office to finally call back with an answer. They never call you about your lab results. When I call and leave a msg to speak to a nurse I get a call from the receptionist instead. read more

I went to Ronen for 6 years....I liked it but never loved it. My most recent visit absolutely did it in for me. He was not available so this female practitioner saw me. I went into the office for horrible anxiety/depression and relation to my birth control pill. I have never been so undermined at a physicians office before like I did that day. As a woman, I was expressing concerns for my mental health and how the sugar pills on my BC causes awful anxety attacks and I was shut down, refused a blood test and left with yet ANOTHER prescription for birth control. My mom, sister, 3 aunts and I now switch to another gyno office. Btw I took myself off of BC 6 months ago and haven't had a panic attack since so don't push medication down your patient's throats Update: Dr. Ronen's response does not really address the fact that I left unsatisfied and offended. I found Dr. Ronen off google. Being pregnant with my first baby I've learned a lot of places reviews are from years agoo which I dont understand why. I feel its important to leave feedback positive or negative. Let me start off by saying the staff is soo nice to me I've never had issues with anyone. The gentleman that does the blood work is nice and work fast. I hate hate needles and blood work but he does a good job. The office is nice and clean its upstairs on the 2nd floor which I take the stairs instead of the elevator because walking is good for me being pregnant. Their check in is on a little tablet which is better than paper and pen its 2020. Dr. Ronen will be delivering my baby boy in Feb. Hes so nice and professional. He answers any questions I have or concerns. I found a Dr I'll continue to see after the baby because of my good experience. Most of the time I'll go to a Dr than try someone else and so on but I found a spot I'm happy with. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because how many times I've had to call up there about certain things and call back response but I have no shame to be annoying and call a few times or leave messages. I haven't had to do that to many times and the girls are nice so that's not a big issues to me it's a busy office. Amazing! Outstanding! If you want a doctor who provides the BEST bedside manner along with knowledge and skill, this is the doctor for you! I have never felt so comfortable and "at home" than with Dr. Itai Ronen. He is Dr. Pinky Ronen's son. I needed a new Gynecologist and spent months pouring over reviews and recommendations. At the time I made the appointment, I was unaware Dr. Itai was practicing with his father and I really wanted an appointment with the father as I had read all the reviews about only him. However, when I called, I was told I had the option to see his son, Dr. Itai Ronen. At first I was uneasy, but Vicky, who was assisting me with the appointment, assured me Dr. Itai had the same traits as his father. I still made an appointment with the father for a few weeks out. After thinking it over, I called back to see if I could get in sooner with Dr. Itai (the son) and was able to get in a couple weeks earlier. My appointment was this morning and I was BLOWN AWAY with how kind and attentive and gentle he was. Although it was my first appointment, I felt like I had been going there forever. I am 60 years old and am VERY particular about all my doctors, but especially my Gynecologist. Additionally, ALL the staff with whom I interacted were outstanding and made me feel so welcome to the office. I never felt rushed and I felt as though Dr. Itai truly listened to me and "got me". I also like that it is just the two of them and not a "group of doctors". Also, the way they have their office decorated is very different from other "sterile looking" doctor's offices. I moved to Houston from League City which is about 45 minutes to an hour away so I was in need of a new OBGYN. I also found out right after the move that I was pregnant with my first baby. Due to this time sensitive matter, I was having a horrible time trying to find a OBGYN that was not only accepting new patients but an office that would also take my insurance. I have Molina Marketplace insurance from Obama Care and even the list of practices my insurance gave me, most of them stopped taking Marketplace insurance and the other offices were these back alley practices with horrible horrible reviews. My manager told me about her OBGYN, Dr. Ronan, and informed me that she also has Molina and she has been going to this doctor well before she switched to Obama Care. Thank you god for her because I honestly couldn't be more happy here. This doctor and his staff are so incredibly nice, understanding, and patient. My boyfriend who's a lawyer and doesn't like anyone is even impressed by him and his staff. The woman that does the ultrasound is so nice and their equipment is outstanding. I'm very surprised there aren't many reviews. After being turned down from top of the line ob offices due to my insurance (go figure), i was recommended to go here by a friend. What a pleasant surprise. Receptionist are friendly, nurses always answer your questions and are always patient in taking the nicest picture for your ultrasound. This is my first pregnancy so I'm always asking questions and am very nervous, but doctor Ronen is always nice and professional and puts me at ease. I love Dr.Ronen ! He has always been kind and honest. He delivered my now 3.5 year old when he was born and has the best bedside manner..... I had gestational diabetes and i managed to keep my blood levels normal and he was always very motivating when I would go to my appointments ..... he never once pressured me to get a c-section or be induced bc he wanted it to fit his schedule.... he wanted me everything happen naturally and that is rare to find.. Last year I was pregnant again and unfortunately I lost my baby and he sat in front of me comforted and hugged me as I broke down and cried. He was so sweet and reassured me that it wasn't anything that I did. Now that we are trying to conceive again we are having a hard time but instead of immediately putting me on medication or just getting all these tests done he wants to make sure that I give it a little more time.....having a Dr that really cares about his patients and not just about getting money and pushing medicine on you , is so rare to find now a days and I am so blessed to have him as my Dr..... I came to Dr. Ronen and was satisfied with my initial treatment other than a very rude and unprofessional front desk person. My initial goal was to work on family planning and look into reasons why me and my husband were not able to get pregnant. We did get pregnant after about 6 months however later suffered a miscarriage . They were able to fit me in but bc I had no appointment I had to see the nurse practitioner I felt she lacked empathy which I can deal with but they also failed to follow up about my blood test results following the miscarriage . I decided to switch to a new doctor shortly after because of this experience and my blood test results weren't even included in my file that was sent to the new doctor which means they were probably lost . I also found out I had fibroids that we're likely the cause of the miscarriage which was never mentioned to me after being a patient with regularly scheduled visits for nearly a year . I feel that my health was dangerously mismanaged here and I could not recommend this place to anyone. I covered more ground with my new doctor in my first appointment than I did in nearly a year with Dr Ronen. I received less than sub par care here and I would never want anyone to go through what I did with this office read more

I cannot begin to express my gratitude for Dr. Ronen! He has been my OB/GYN since 2014 when I got pregnant with my 1st daughter, he was so understanding and compassionate throughout my entire pregnancy. I am PCOS and hypothyroid, I didn't have to worry about any of that through my pregnancy because Dr. Ronen monitored me closely for any complications that might arise because of it (as he is doing now with my second). I love that Dr. Ronen and Katie are so easy to talk to and will take their time to answer your questions and explain any issues that you may have with such patience. I truly appreciate that he kept involved with the process when we were ttc with our second just to make sure everything was ok with me. Although he could have pushed me to start taking medication to help out the process, he never did and assured me that he believed that we didn't need it and I'm glad that he didn't because a couple months later we were pregnant with our 2nd little girl!!! I feel that Dr. Ronen only hires the most amazing people for his staff as well, not a single person there is less that wonderful, so kind and so helpful! Janice is probably one of the first people I met at his office and has always been such a pleasure to talk to and be around, I love walking into the office and seeing her smiling face! This doctor SAVED my baby's life! I knew something was wrong and was going to a different doctor. That doctor would not listen to me...he said that if I was not bleeding then nothing was wrong with me! I lost THREE children prior to this pregnancy and I knew what I felt before. I was referred to Doctor Ronen and called the office. I told the nurse that I thought I may be losing my baby with NO OTHER SYMPTOMS except that I felt "WEIRD." She instructed that I get in the office right away and worked me in with no appointment. Dr. Ronen did several tests and called me at 10:30 that NIGHT....YES, he stayed at work until 10:30 p.m. to find out what was wrong with me! Come to find out, I WAS LOSING MY CHILD! Dr. Ronen put me on medication and now I have a healthy son! I have referred many to this doctor and he has saved two of my friends babies. I HIGHLY recommend him! read more

Forgive me as I am still exceedingly upset!! A month ago I found out we were moving from Denver to Houston and I am currently 26 weeks pregnant with twins. The first thing I did was make an OB appt. So one month ago I made an appt with Dr. Ronen. It was scheduled for a Tuesday. The Friday before my appt I received a call from Janice telling me she needed my records and asked if I could drop them off at the office on Monday. No problem. She said Dr. Ronen would need to review them before accepting me. I fought the urge to panic and did exactly as she asked. Monday afternoon at 5:30pm I received a call from Janice saying Dr. Ronen would not accept me as I am "high risk". My appt, which I've had scheduled for over a month, was canceled less than 24 hours beforehand!!! I'm pregnant with twins in a new city!!!! I was FURIOUS. I proceed to tell Janice that this is extremely unprofessional. And she gave me EXCUSES. Not an I'm sorry!!!! She said "well, he needed to review your records and you only just got them to us today." To which I advised her, YOU ONLY ASKED FOR THEM ON FRIDAY. I told her they had a month for figure this out!!! And I could've easily gotten my records to them earlier if they had asked!! She said "well, you're out of state" Ummm, I am an RN. You can sign a release of information and get your records sent pretty much anywhere. To be fair, she called the next day offering to fax my records to the MD of my choice (without a release I should add. Which I believe is a HIPPA violation). I do appreciate that Dr. Ronen did not accept me knowing that his skills and expertise are not up to par. I am grateful to have found this out now and can go to a doctor who can safely take care of me and my babies. So beware Mama's who are moving to Houston after 20 weeks pregnant!! read more

I would recommend this Dr. to my worst enemy. Misdiagnosed on couple of occasions. People dropping the ball for what lab tests where needed for me which resulted in me going in for another blood draw and another lab fee. Nurse practitioner who was do to in exam on me spoke to me as if she wasn't going to do an exam about my concern. I gave a urine sample after giving it was not asked by the NP if the blood in my urine could have been from me being on my period. I have spent anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour in the waiting room for my appointment then once called back another 20-30 minutes in the exam room to be seen. I only went to this Dr. because he bought out my OBGYN who retired. Not to mention getting anyone to answer the phone is very hard. read more
