I had an appointment scheduled but was surprised by how high the co-pay was, so I called to see if I could change it to a regular consultation instead of doing the ultrasound. That's when things got really weird. The woman I spoke to sounded annoyed right away and told me I could still see the doctor, but if I changed my appointment, I wouldn't be allowed to talk to them about any of my concerns. No explanation, no medical reasoning just a flat-out refusal. I don't know about anyone else, but every time I've gone to the doctor, I've been able to talk to them about what's going on, and they recommend tests based on that conversation. Apparently, that's not how this place works. They just want you to come in, run a bunch of tests, and move on no actual discussion about your health. When I tried to push back and explain why that didn't make sense, the woman kept talking over me, cutting me off, and acting like I was the problem for even asking. I asked to speak to a manager, and instead of transferring me to someone who could actually help, she sent me to a coworker instead. When I finally got to the manager, she acted like I was making a big deal out of nothing and told me they'd have to "investigate" before addressing it. At that point, I just canceled my appointment because I couldn't trust this office to actually care about my health. I've never been to a doctor's office where they tell you can see the doctor, but you can't talk to them about your concerns. Seriously?? That is NOT how medical care is supposed to work. If you want to be listened to and actually treated like a patient, not just a number for insurance billing, I'd suggest looking somewhere else. Told me I had herpes, embarrassingly I walked around telling everyone that in their staff anytime I had an issue down there, I told my husband the pharmacy what I needed... for all 3 SWABS to be negative every time. I got put on valacyclovir for thr pharmacy to tell me its actually a kidney killer and to stop immediately, which my back has been killing me lately. I went on 4/8 got cleared after surgery again and then tried having.sex on 4/9 then ended up with microtears, I'm assuming due to hormonal issues after my hysterectomy which I've been telling them I need a progesterone or estrogen for awhile now. Which states on your site you specialize in HRT. but clearly not. Because anyone who has a hysterectomy you'd think is common sense to do blood work and hormone levels check months after? But no. I guess not. So then after I've repeatedly asked for an estrogen/progesterone they prescribed me a birth control which isn't what I wanted and my pharmacist called and said I asked for the two separate and they wouldn't speak to him. (Atleast they answered his call) they won't answer me. Unless i.block my number. How professional of a business. Right? But I guess once u meet ur deductible and they get paid, who cares right? I mean the dr says i have internal bleeding and they dont know where and still has yet to do anything about it.
