Our spring had snapped. After unsuccessfully trying to manually free our vehicles, my husband quickly scheduled an appointment with Don's for first thing Monday morning. The technician was prompt, polite, and thorough, communicating with us every step of the way. He was upfront about what we needed, showed us the wear on the parts he recommended replacing, and gave us options at different levels based on how often we use the garage. Best of all, there was no pressure to upsell to a new door or unnecessary extras. Less than 2.5 hours after arrival, we had a quiet, smooth-operating bay door. Pricey? Sure, especially right after the holidays, but absolutely worth the peace of mind and the ability to come and go without relying on others for rides.

To be candid, this is not the "Don's Garage Door" I am accustomed to over the past 20 years @ mulitple personal and investment properties. I have contacted other companies (& my realtor) and found Don's prices significantly higher than your competition, not to mention the (new, more aggressive sales tactics. The multiple online reviews reflect my sentiments. We have utilized Don's Garage Door for the past 20 years at three different residences (Seth) and will consider other options in the future.

That was it. The part that really bothered me was the pricing. The springs were purchased separately from a different company for about $500, which is already a fair price for high-quality garage door springs. However, this company charged an additional $599 just for an adjustment. That's a huge markup for such a short visit and minimal labor. To make things even more questionable, the technician brought his 10-year-old child along while performing the work. I'm all for supporting family-run businesses -- I respect people who work hard and include their families -- but there's a time and place for that. Maybe wait until the little one is old enough to actually assist safely and professionally. Overall, the job was completed quickly, but the value just wasn't there. Between the inflated pricing, I can't recommend this company. There are plenty of other garage door repair services out there that will give you a fair rate and professional experience without surprise costs. Save your money and look elsewhere.

Professional, honest, and reasonably priced--I highly recommend Select Garage Doors!…read more I needed to replace the original garage door on my older home, and my experience with Select Garage Doors was excellent from start to finish. Every team member I interacted with--from scheduling to installation--was professional, responsive, and easy to work with. The two gentlemen who came out for the estimate were knowledgeable, honest, and took the time to walk me through my options. I especially appreciated their flexibility in allowing me to update the door color after placing my initial order. Scheduling the installation was seamless, and the installer did an outstanding job. He handled every detail with care, from the installation itself to the clean-up, and took the time to review everything with me before leaving.

Do not hire this company…read more In August 2024 I paid over $3,000 to Select Garage Doors to install a high-lift garage door opener along with new springs, drums, tracks, and hardware. The process was completely frustrating. They missed the original appointment, and when they finally came the job took more than five hours longer than I was told. One installer left partway through the job, leaving the other to finish late into the evening. Less than two years later my garage door started having serious problems opening and closing. I had another reputable garage door company inspect the system and they found multiple installation issues. The door was completely unbalanced, the tracks need to be redone, and the springs have to be fully replaced. The technician also said I am lucky the opener itself was not damaged from the strain caused by the poor installation. I now have to spend about $2,000 to correct work that should have been done properly the first time. For a $3,000+ installation to fail in under two years is completely unacceptable.
