If you want a taste of authentic Dominican cuisine and flavor, this is the spot. The food is amazing here, and there's a great range of food options, as well as original Dominican desserts and drinks. The portions are really generous, and you definitely get your money's worth. The staff is really quick to take your order and provides very good service. I've been coming here for years and have never been disappointed with the food. 10/10 would recommend!

Always go here for their chicken and spaghetti. Both are so good, highly recommend. They always have a line so you know it's good.

Bean sauce and about 10 beans. For $2 enjoy

Just look at the pics and you'll see why I rated this establishment 1 star. I also gave their other location a low rating. Not sure if this brand will exist long if they do not change some things! I ordered a side of beans and was given only the sauce and about 10 TEN beans. Seriously? NEVER ordering again unless it's free. Over hyped and very misled

Bergenline Ave is the go to place for delicious and affordable Latin take out food. Once you get towards 50th street and up the options are endless. John's Fried Chicken which has an additional location in Union City and Washington Heights is good quality Dominican food at a cheap price. I would recommend getting the roasted chicken. They have many options whether you are getting for the whole family or individual meals. I usually order a 1/4 of a chicken with a side of rice which runs at a cost of $5.25. The portion is huge especially with the rice. The amount of rice they put can feed at least 3 people. Your rice options are white with beans, arroz con gandulez (yellow rice), or arroz moro (black rice). My favorite is the arroz moro. Their rice has the perfect amount of seasoning not too salty and not enough salt. Their chicken is always moist and baked to perfection. They also ask if you would like onions on top of your chicken to give it that extra flavor which is free. Forget KFC and hit up JFC! I promise you won't regret it.

I think it's about time I update my review on this place. Still as great as before. I seriously love how consistent this place is with their hot meals. Still have yet to try the actual chicken unfortunately because I am addicted to their homemade hot food. One of these days, I need to suck it up and try the chicken as opposed to the hot food because of all the amazing things I have heard about it. Today I was helped right away, service is always quick and pleasant. Today I decided to try their ribs for the first time. I found them to be a tad bit on the salty side for my taste... I can totally look past that because on the regular this never happens. However, they are still pretty good an very tender. The red beans and white rice mixed together was off the hook as always. I can always indulge in this alone. All and all I am always a happy camper when I come here!

Don't get rice and beans here they gon send you 99.9% rice and .1% beans..

The service was attentive from the very beginning, and they immediately took care of us and made the entire experience feel personal and genuine. Once the food came out, every single dish was absolutely delicious. You can truly tell that Juana takes pride in what she does and prepares every meal with care and love for her customers. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, especially the mangu, Cuban sandwich and Rabo - which was amazing! And the desserts were absolutely outstanding -- we left & took home habichuela con dulce and she shared some of her special dessert with us to try and enjoy! My grandson took it lol. It's the perfect ending to a wonderful meal. Her son was also so personable and kind, which made the experience even more memorable for my entire family. It's rare to find a place that combines amazing food with such heartfelt hospitality. We had an amazing time and will absolutely return whenever we're back in the New Jersey area. Thank you, Juana and son, for the incredible food, kindness, and unforgettable experience!

I recently visited this restaurant for the first time. When we walked in, we were seated quickly,…read morewhich was a great start. There was also a DJ playing and the music was really good, creating a fun and lively atmosphere. One thing to keep in mind is that they do not have a parking lot, so street parking is the only option. The prices are also on the higher side, but I was still open to seeing if the experience would be worth it. We ordered the picadera Dominicana and the waiter asked if we wanted guacamole. At no point did she mention that it would be an extra charge, so we said yes assuming it was part of the dish. We also ordered a passion fruit sangria pitcher, which was delicious and a good size for sharing. The picadera itself was good and we enjoyed the flavors. Unfortunately, the experience changed when the bill came. Since we were splitting the bill, they charged the appetizer as two separate portions, which ended up costing more. On top of that, we were charged $13 for a very small cup of guacamole, which they labeled on the receipt as "decorative guac" (it was presented as a Dominican flag in the middle). For just an appetizer and a pitcher of sangria, our total came out to $70. What really left a bad impression was when the server brought the bill back and pointed out where the tip section was, as if we didn't know how to read or weren't planning to tip. That felt unnecessary and a bit rude. It's unfortunate because the food and atmosphere had potential, and I likely would have given this place a much better rating if the lack of transparency about the guacamole charge and the comment about the tip hadn't happened.

I'm really disappointed with my experience. I ordered a $20 salad for delivery, and it arrived…read moremissing ingredients that were clearly listed--no onions, no carrots, and no corn. For that price, I expect to receive what's advertised. I called to let them know, and the response I got was just, "sorry about that, I'll let the cook know." No offer to make it right in any way. That kind of response is frustrating, especially when you've paid a premium. Unfortunately, this experience didn't meet expectations at all. I wouldn't order again.
