In general the care I receive is good, not great. The areas of concern are 100% based on lack of training, inattention to detail, rushing, and not properly hiring empathic customer facing admins. Key areas: Getting refills promptly addressed via portal and without having to place a call to let them know a request has been put in. Ensuring the RIGHT medication is being refilled. Follow up- if there's an issue with insurance or payment or test results or prescriptions, you will not receive a call. You might not even be notified on the portal. To get proper medical service, the patient needs to be on top of them for all the above reasons. If you are an active and engaged participant in your own medical care and are willing to double check things, you'll be fine here. I can say that, for me, I've seen some improvement from years past. read more

Even when the office is empty, the front desk staff refuses to answer calls. They immediately place every call on hold just to stop the phone from ringing, even when no patients are waiting. They'll claim they're "busy," but if you show up in person, you'll see the waiting room empty. This is unprofessional and disrespectful -- especially to elderly patients who depend on this office for care. I hope the doctors read this and realize what's happening at their front desk. read more

Dr. Narayan, will put you on a medication and refill it for 2 years with no monitoring requirements. Lack of care and follow-up is abysmal! The front desk staff is rude and unprofessional and will mistreat your elderly loved ones if they are alone. I sat in the lobby and witnessed the mean, disrespectful tone from the receptionist to a poor elderly man who seemed sad and confused. She was downright mean! read more

Just before Christmas, I came in for a routine physical. Everything has always been good in the front with the receptionist. I've had some negative experiences with Dr. Korte .I didnt think that much of it in the past, but for the physical I just had , I received the worst care in my 71 years of life. I had a slight case of bronchitis going on at the time of my physical. I was so fed up with her lack of care and attention , that I left disgusted !! I went to another clinic to get treated for the bronchitis .Spending $250 at that clinic was so much better than spending another minute with Dr. Korte . read more

Everyone at John's Creek wants to help you feel better and get well. You will get the best care possible from all who work here. Whether on the phone or in person the office staff gets you what you need with a pleasant attitude. The person who takes your vitals and gets you ready to see your doctor really listens. I followed Pam Watson from an office in Cobb County years ago when she moved to Johns Creek to be closer to her home. It takes me 45 minutes to an hour to drive there , but coming to see her is worth it. She is a great listener. She is a great diagnostician. She is very caring and smart. My husband transfered to her from his doctor years ago when he saw how well she took care of me. And if you are like me , you will also appreciate the full time phlebotomist who only has to stick you once to get blood! read more

Here is a service that does not even know what industry they are in. The front office does not even have the listening skills and wants to transfer and hang up your call. The office manager does not want to answer specific questions about an inquiry that you made. The office has no records of a request that you made for more than two months. Please avoid this office. They are unprofessional and do not care about their patients. The quality of the care has also deteriorated after the demise of one of their prominent and well-respected physicians. This practice should NOT stay in business as they do not care about their patients well being. read more

After 5 years with this practice, we have transferred our family care elsewhere. We were willing to overlook the fact that in those 5 years we've only seen the Doctor once, give that you only see Nurse Practitioners at this practice. To be fair, our experience with the Nurse Practitioners was acceptable, as we are relatively young and in good health, and our visits have been for routine care. I don't know that would be true if we had serious health concerns. That said, our experience with the administration of this practice has been horrific. They constantly process billing incorrectly, and engage in surprise billing, and bombard you with additional bills after visits. When you attempt to resolve billing issues with their Practice Manager you are met with cynicism and aggression and a general lack of respect. Don't take my word for it, you can see how aggressively they respond to reviews on Google and here. I suspect it is the same practice manager doing that. Most recently, they failed to update our insurance, even though they were provided the new information, and several months later placed us in collections without notice for an amount that was 100% eligible for payment by our insurance. We have been trying to resolve the issue for 12 days now to no avail. Their practice manager still has not processed the claim, but did take the time to "confirm" the amount with their collections agency. At this point, this is just vindictive and ugly behavior. Stay away from this place. We moved to a practice up the road and have not had a single billing problem, and have been treated with respect. read more

This is office is unprofessional mainly the receptionist staff ( front window toward the right lady in particular) They speak to patients anyway and the moment you snap back they run to the office manager and cry wolf. The quality of care here has taken a turn for the worst. If you're looking to be treated with respect I would keep looking there are about 10 pcps in the same area. read more

I've been going here for years, feel very confident with the quality of the healthcare, miss Dr Conlin but Candace and the nurses have done a remarkable job. Front desk ladies are fabulous! I am extremely disturbed with the level of service I received over the last couple of days. Dr. Conlin is a very great doctor and listens to every detail. However, his staff is completely unprofessional! I have never experienced this with a medical office before. 1st call.. Amy sounds as if she hates her job and is very nasty. I specifically asked to speak with someone and was transferred to a voice mail. 2nd call.. I explained what my issue was and was placed on hold for 22 minutes. 3rd call.. I requested a practice manager and was transferred to a voicemail Last call.. I was intentionally hung up on and there we have it 4pm 2 days in. I have never felt this way EVER! It's crazy that it's great doctors but the front end of the practice is really unprofessional. read more

Dr Conlin is no longer there....the front office is a debacle. I would no recommend the PA. So your options are not good at all.

After two years of coming to this practice I am leaving. I have given them the benefit of the doubt thinking it was just an occasional mishap. However, after repeated requests for the PA to contact my insurance company and all I get is a half written email response that doesn't make any sense I have decided enough is enough. I am pretty healthy and don't ask for much. Just follow up with me and be responsive. I guess it's just too much for this practice /PA to provide good health care. I actually think it's borderline negligent and honestly should be reported to the state. read more

I had a wonderful experience with Johns Creek Primary Care - from the initial phone call through check-in and the appointment.....every person was friendly, professional, and very capable. I got in & out very quickly, and was very impressed with the level of care. I hope not to be back for a long time ;), but will definitely return here for all my medical needs. read more

The doctors are what you expect, knowledgeable to a degree. However the office admin is difficult to deal with, left vms, sent emails, no reply. They did call me back when I owe them a consultation fee :) I have been with them for 5 years, did not really care but I realized that other doctor offices seem more reactive so I am leaving them. read more

To the older reviews about office staff- agreed (cussed one person out and was told 'one more, look for a new doctor' but they HAVE addressed it (wonderful now) AND they knocked out a wall (think the staff was on top of one another- may have been a factor in the 'crankiness'?) Anyhow Dr Conlin is terrific. really. Never had a PCP that truly LISTENS... he helped catch 24/7 nausea problem that surgeon was oblivious to. After having a physical in August 2017 and the insurance refusing to pay for my EKG because the diagnostic code indicated 'hyperlipidemia', I returned my $32.85 bill to JCPC with a note to please recode and resubmit to the health carrier. This was exactly the same problem I experienced after my August 2016 physical. I heard nothing else from the practice - no phone calls, no letters, no bills, no emails - until I received a letter from a collections agency dated 12/13/18. I logged into my patient portal where there was no additional information EXCEPT a suggestion that a bill was sent to me Oct 2018. I have received no bill. I had a horrible time trying to get my meds refilled at the time of the physical and I could get no one to speak with me nor email me, so I washed my hands of the matter. Guess they showed me by sending me to collections after 14 months! Guess I didn't provide enough business for them to want to keep my business. read more

This place is ridiculous. The office is SO unorganized, you would think they all work for the circus! No one knows anything! My Mom needed a referral and a prescription, a week AFTER seeing the doctor, NOTHING! I call the office, they have no notes in her file, then they do, then they say, they called it in, then they didn't! Still waiting! The doctor had the personality of a wall. Hi. Check your Credit report if you go to these "doctors."   Horrible treatment of me. Please read this. I'm in my late 50s and Johns Creek PC sold or turned over a very small unpaid balance (for unauthorized services) of a couple of hundred dollars or so to a collection agency and then without my knowledge reported me to the Equifax Credit Bureau as a delinquency.  I spent thousands of dollars over the years at Johns Creek PC, starting just after they opened. I started noticing extra testing and processes being "suggested" to me and billed. I trusted their advice, nevertheless.  But then they billed my insurance company for services I did not request and not covered, which they apparently thought would be paid by insurance.  My insurance paid the CORRECT and authorized services in full for the real amounts. Johns Creek then started billing me direct for these extra "services." I flagged this to them, but then they only kept sending me the invoice and eventually sold it to a collection agency and then to the Credit Bureau for being a delinquent.  I think their behavior is shameful and I wouldn't let them treat my dog at this point.  I contacted Johns Creek PC and Dr. Conlin on several occasions but they gave me the run-around. I immediately found another Primary Care practice who doesn't overbill or view their parents and a means of financial gain. I surely wouldn't trust them with my family's healthcare, if they treat me like this with such a small bad bill for unapproved service.  It seems to me Johns Creek PC cares more about financial charts than the "patients'" charts that pass though their "System." Who knows what they actually do at this multimillion dollar place if they intentionally damage someone's credit over a couple of hundred dollars in bad and unauthorized billing. WARNING: I'd keep my loved ones far away from this place and find another practice as soon as possible.  I'm almost 60 years old and have never seen such disgraceful behavior from a "doctor." Dr. Conlin is a great doctor! I was at this clinic on a Friday, where he determined that I needed to be seen by a specialist. Considering that he did not want to make me to wait thru the weekend, he made personal calls, and got me on the schedule of the specialist, who gave me a diagnosis, and put me on medication effective immediately Very Thankful to Dr. Conlin for his quick thinking. read more

Horrible service. Twice I've had to get images taken as told to do so by the doctor. Both times I've had trouble with the wrong orders being sent. I had to have the office staff fax me the orders so I could send it the scheduling office. Today my scan was almost rescheduled because the office didn't send over doctor notes that the scheduling office had asked for THREE days in a row. Then I get there and it's the completely wrong scan. Unbelievable and frustrating. read more

I came to Dr. Conlin because I was changing my primary care doctor. I am sure glad I did! The office staff is super nice and helpful, and the wait time was very minimal. Dr. Conlin was easy to talk to and listened to what I had to say, didn't feel rushed or pressured into unnecessary tests like my last doctor (different practice) did. I also love that they have an online portal I can access online or via app. I have found my new PCP and super happy about the choice! read more

I have been Dr. Herman's patient since he opened his practice 11 years ago. He has seen me through high blood pressure, several flus, 22 physicals, 2 colonoscopies, diabetes, fatty liver disease, 2 kidney stones attacks, critically low hemoglobin, and a gastric bypass. Except for being a Bulldawg fan (I went to Tech), I think the world of him. He is a great listener, an expect diagnostician, a caring human being, and a big believer in preventative medicine. Under his care and direction, I am an ex-diabetic, have b/p of 110/52, have lost 67 pounds (and counting), have a combined cholestrol of 72, and a biological age of 45 vs. my calendar age of 61. I have been coming and seeing Dr. Herman for about 5 years and I can testify, this is an excellent facility. Doc stays on my case and is up-to-date on all my concerns - it's almost annoying. The young ladies in reception are always pleasant and professional. The facility is current and most procedures and diagnostic measures are performed in-house. HORRIBLE SERVICE! EVERYTIME I go there it's a MINIMAL 15 minute wait. I've been here 8 times and have waited 45minutes 3 of the 8 times. The staff is RUDE!!!! I switched from NP Emily to Dr. Conlin because Emily's nurse hung up the phone in my face. Dr. Conlin's nurse today told me that 15-30 minute wait is NORMAL in a Dr's office. I advised her not from my experience. She then stated that if I didn't like the wait I could leave. I did just that, but not before stopping by the PM office to report yet a SECOND rude incident with the office staff and requesting a copy of my medical records be mailed to me. DO NOT waste your time. Wish I had read the other reviews on this business. read more

The staff and Physician have done a wonderful job taking care of me and my many needs, request. They have taken the time to explain (in terms I can understand) what is going on with my health. They have clear instructions to follow when given (Doctors orders) to follow at home. They listen. I know, but my Doctor really listens to me, no snap decision, or quick diagnosis, they all listen. read more

I recently switched my primary care doctor to Dr. Conlin upon the recommendation of my husband, who has been a very satisfied patient of the practice for six years. Dr. Conlin spent more time with me on the first visit than my previous doctor did over the last three visits. It is a smaller practice with a friendly front office staff, complimented by professional and courteous medical assistants under Dr. Conlin. I liked Dr. Conlin but cannot deal with the lack of communication. I missed my first appointment due to a death in the family (my fault completely). Tried to call the business office and explain and they would never return my calls (no one would answer the phone and I left two detailed messages and tried to email the office). They charged me $50 for the missed appointment. I stopped by the front desk and they said that I would have to call the business manager (even though they are NOT going to answer the phone). I made another appointment to get a physical and they never contacted me with the results (they said that my cell number was entered in their system incorrectly --wonder who did that --why not reach me by mail- they certainly got in touch with me when I missed my appointment). I called them back to see if they had the results of the physical/blood work and the person answering the phone said that they had called me in a prescription --that was it. I finally asked enough questions that I felt like I knew what the problem was and what the prescription was for. I will never go back to the office again and advise that you think long and hard before visiting this practice. read more

I had high hopes based on the reviews I had seen. I was searching for a primary care physician so I called to make an appt. The person who answered the phone, Amy, made me feel rushed and I couldn't answer her questions fast enough. She kept asking me if I was with the marketplace and I had no idea what that was - I have insurance through a PPO. She finally asked if I was with Obama Care, and I said no. She said the only openings they had were with the nurse practitioners (which would be fine) but I had at that point decided this is not the place for me, if the person answering the phone will be so impatient and rushed. read more

STAY AWAY. The LPN Pam has a don't care attitude and you almost never see Dr. Herman as he stays in his office and doesn't speak to the patients. Dr. Conlin is the only provider there that seems to care at all but he is not always available. If you need to get in the same day good luck. The front desk will tell you they are booked and to go to an immediate care facility or the hospital. Overall very disappointed with how a once great doctor's office has fallen apart. read more

There has never been a case where I was stranded in the waiting room or exam room. Everyone I have dealt with at Johns Creek Primary Care have been professional and courteous.
